ONLY ONE DAY. 008

Jungwon had practically forgotten about what happened to Jake, Sunoo, and Sunghoon because his mind was only filled with a specific person.

He took a shower, cuddled with Jake and their two dogs, Layla and Maeum before greeting the family goodnight, and left to his bedroom and engulfed himself in the comfort of his soft bedsheets and pillows. For some reason, he felt excited for the next day to come.

And it did, because as the sun started to rise and the birds chirped from outside his window, the next morning arrived but it wasn't what Jungwon had expected. The dark-haired boy woke up when he felt Jake softly playing with his hair, whispering "yah, wake up. Wonie?" to him and unraveling him from his blanket. Hissing at the cold morning air that welcomed him after Jake took his blanket off, Jungwon groaned and covered his face with his hands.

"Hyung.. What the hell..? Isn't it too early?" He grumbled and felt Layla and Maeum in his bed, running their way to his face.

"It's already 7:30. Wake up~," Jake said.

"Five more minutes..."

"We have to get you prepared."

"But why? We're only gonna go to the last day of Flicker Fest... Which are just some sports and team building stuff..."

"No, you're going on a date today," Jake bluntly answered and Jungwon stopped covering his face as he looked at Jake with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Funny," Jungwon mumbled in sarcasm, "you know that I'm not interested, right?"

"Well, what if it's with Heeseung?"

'Oh.'

'Right. Heeseung hyung.'

'How did I forget about him?'

Jungwon pursed his lips and shook his head. He turned his body away to indicate that he wasn't interested and nuzzled his face on his pillow, humming softly, "sleep is more important than Heeseu- I mean, Bambi."

Jake wasn't sure on what he was supposed to be baffled with. If it was the fact that Jungwon preferred sleep over Heeseung, rejected Heeseung, or almost call Heeseung by his name instead of 'Bambi'. Normally, Jake expected that Jungwon would have fled from his bed to get ready by the mere words of "Heeseung" and "date".

"I'm not kidding, yahhh," Jake whined, "it's with Jay! You're going on a date with Jay!"

Jungwon turned his head to look at Jake. "What?" Despite his half-asleep state, Jungwon rubbed his slightly puffy eyes due to the fact that he had just woken up and squinted his eyes at his brother, "what do you mean 'date with Jay'? Who told you that?"

"Jay said I owe him. And he wouldn't accept money or other material things, he only wants a date with you," Jake muttered.

"And you let it happen?" Jungwon, finally gotten back to his full senses, widened his eyes at Jake, "I- huh? I- but why?!"

"Trust me, I also didn't want to sell you to Jay for one day, but I didn't have a choice!" Jake exclaimed and Jungwon immediately sat up straight with a loud gasp.

"JAKE HYUNG!"

Flashback.

"Are you crazy?!"

Jay expected Jake to respond with that, and he only sat in the car calmly while listening to Jake who started rambling. Jake looked like he was about to kill someone, he was tightly gripping on his cup of ramyeon and his eyes were widened, words rolling off his mouth like he was a rapper.

"Relax, Jakey," Jay chuckled and shook his head in amusement, "it'll only be just for a day. Besides, we probably won't meet again face-to-face after the Fest. And it'll also be a win-win for you because you'll get to solo Sunoo for the rest of the day. See how both Sunoo and Jungwon are attached to the hip? It'll benefit both of us."
