Chapter Five: Dora The Explorer And Tanner The Ignorant

After our parents and my brother left, we had a bit of catching up. We talked about how our lives had been after the last time we went on an outing which was already almost a year ago. We had some wine- except for Kei obviously- and we started talking about our businesses.

We also talked about the baby and our plans.

"Nakausap na naming yung housekeepers sa mansion ni dad na ilipat na yung furniture sa bahay namin. Nag-usap na rin kasi kami ni Justin na sakanya yung Mansion ni dad."

"Oo nga naman. Para mapakinabangan na ulit yung mga gamit dun. Sayang nga naman kung hahayaang mabulok nalang dun ng 'di nagagamit." Wika ni Luna.

Natambak na sa tates yung gamit namin simula nang magkasakit si dad. May binabayaran lang kaming housekeeper para hindi mabulok yung mga gamit doon.

Tumango-tango ako at tumingin kay Tanner. "So, Tanner. Nagpaplano na ba kayo ni Luna na magsimula ng pamilya?"

Ngumiti si Tanner sabay tingin kay Luna. "Of course, but it depends on Luna when she'll be ready. She'll be the one carrying little spawns of us. But I do want kids. Two kids would be perfect."

Luna nodded her head and leaned on Tanner's shoulders. "Ako gusto ko rin magkaroon ng anak. At tama si Tanner. Two kids will be perfect."

I smiled at their sweetness when Amara suddenly talked. "Grabe kayo maglambingan. Paano naman ako na single. Hanapan niyo rin ako." Pabiro niyang sinabi. Tumawa kaming lahat at nagpatuloy sa kwentuhan. Maya-maya napagdesisyunan namin na manood nalang ng movie.

"Ano ba magandang panoorin?" tanong ko. "Jurassic World, yung latest na Jumanji, or yung Pacific Rim?"

"Jurassic World."

"Jumanji."

"Pacific Rim."

"Dora and The Lost City of Gold."

Sabay-sabay silang nagsalita pero napatitig kami kay Tanner sa sinabi niya. "Dora?" Tanong ni Luna na halatang nagpipigil ng tawa.

"Duh. I mean, the plot itself is already awesome."

Napatawa si Luna at napailing sa sobrang pagtatawa. "Bae, you're one weird creature. Besides, it's none of the above."

I chuckled under my breath and went to the DVD area. I actually have that Dora here somewhere.

"Ah hah. Here it is." I say cockily.

"Babe, may ganyan ka palang DVD na di ko alam." Kei teases in a playfully sad tone.

I laughed. "Oo naman. Ang ganda kaya ng movie na ito. Tyaka what do you think I do when you're not around."

Tanner and I shared a hi-5 and then I put the DVD into the player.

We watched the movie until it was almost 11 o'clock. We then started cleaning up the mess we made in the living room. At some point of the movie, we started a mini food fight with popcorn and candies. You can never be too old for fun.

We were doing our things when suddenly.

"Is it wrong that I ship Diego and Dora together." Amara says out of nowhere to which we all laughed at.

Tumabi si Kendra kay Amara at tumango. "Sa totoo lang ang cute nila together."

"Oh, diba! Sabi na sainyo ehh." Wika ni Amara sabay tawa.

I rolled my eyes jokingly. "You're so weird."

Amara scoffs. "Says the guy who watches Dora for fun." We all laughed and continued cleaning.

After a few more minutes of cleaning and chatting, we sat down and then we were in our own bubbles.

"Guys, CR lang kami ni Amara ha." Sabi ni Luna.

"Sige lang." I replied. "Pasok kayo d'yan sa hallway tapos nandoon sa kaliwa ang CR sa dulo. Gamitin nyo nalang yung tubig na nasa timba. 'Di ko pa naaayos yung flush ng toilet bowl."

Umalis ang dalawa at nagkatinginan kami ni Tanner. "Dude, tell me what you did to Luna was a joke," Tanner says out of nowhere. "Actually, if it was a joke, it'd be worse. It's inhumane for someone to do some shit like that."

Napatingin ako kay Kei na nakatitig sa sahig. Bruh, why bring it up so randomly.

"Bro, what I did was stupid I know but that's in the past. We've talked about it before. Luna is obviously better now. Besides, why'd bring up a sensitive topic in such a light mood time."

He then smirks at me and chuckles under his breath. "I have my reasons. What on earth did she do to be tortured like that? I know, I know, I'm a bit cocky... Well, more than a little. But bro. That's just straightforward crazy. A five-year-old knows better than a shithead like you."

Kita ko na naiilang na si Kei sa sitwasyon. Magsasalita na sana ako kaso nagsalita na siya.

"But of course, Kei needs to learn. You were your sister's mistress. Shame on you." He says like it's a normal thing to do.

"'Wag mong idamay yung asawa ko dito. Kung may kasalanan man sya, kasalanan ko na iyon kasi ako ang nauna. 'Di ko alam anong nakain mo to randomly become ignorant. You act like bringing it up makes you cool or whatever."

He then smirks. "It doesn't but like I said, I have my reason. And listen to this, pretty boy. I just can't imagine the day you said no. On the altar in front of friends and family? Well, that's what I call straightforward stupidity. But I just came to wonder what if you did get married. What a shame."

He then giggles ngunit bago ako makapagsalita ay bumalik na sina Luna.

"Guys, uwi na kami ha. 11:30 na pala."

Nagkatitigan muna kami ni Tanner and he has a smug look on his face. What a jerk.

"Sure, ate. Bye na." Bati ni Kei sa ate niya. Nagyakap sila tapos niyakap din ni Kei si Amara.

We all said our goodbyes and off they went.
