Felix woke up to sunlight streaming on his face. With a groan, he rolled onto his side in an attempt to block out the annoying light, but the deed was done: he was fully awake. Annoyed, he reached out to grab his phone on the bedside table... but his hand only met air.

Confused, he groggily opened his eyes... and horror almost instantly filled him as he failed to recognize his surroundings, and yesterday's events came back to him. He bolted upright, frantically looking around for any trace of the creatures who'd taken him and the other tourists, only to find that he was alone. 

He was in some sort of small, rotund room of which the walls were made of rocks. There was a window just above his bed, hence the sunlight that woke him, and also a large chest on the other side of the room. The sunlight was also reflecting on colorful stones embedded into the walls and the floor and, upon further inspection, Felix realized they were actually uncut jewels.

Where the hell am I!?

Getting up, he first glanced outside the window, but all he saw was that he was seemingly located somewhere high, with the jungle spreading further down and, in the distance, there was the sea – an inviting mess of turquoise waves sparkling under the sunlight.

"Oh, you're awake!"

Felix startled, spinning around with wide eyes. He half-expected one of those hellish, rock creatures from the other night to stand before him but, instead, he was met with the sight of a man. He didn't look much older than Felix, and he was quite handsome – but what really stood out were the clusters of cracking, black rocks that replaced some patches of his body, as if the skin had solidified over time, and rivulets of shimmering red sometimes popped out from under his skin, as if his veins were filled with lava.

The man was dressed simply enough, with only a humble pair of shorts that had definitely seen better days, but he was also adorned in an almost outrageous amount of gold bands, braided necklaces with jewel pendants, and shiny black piercings in his ears.

And then their eyes met and, though the man's eyes appeared human enough, they were of a deep orange and red hue that instantly clicked into his mind.

"You're... the creature," whispered Felix, stumbling backward until his back hit the wall. "You're- you're the one who took me—"

"My name is Minho," softly answered the man, lifting his hands in a placating motion. "I promise, I mean you no harm. What's your name, hoku?"

"Fe- Felix."

"Well, Felix. Why don't you sit down? You look like you could pass out at any second. Are you thirsty? Or hungry?"

"... some water would be nice."

The creature, the man – Minho. Minho smiled, nodded, and left. Still confused about everything that was going on, but deciding that he probably wasn't in any immediate danger if his new captor had taken him to what appeared to be his home, Felix sat down on the bed again. Moments later, Minho returned and offered Felix a strange cup filled to the brim with fresh water. Quietly thanking him, Felix took a few sips before taking a closer look at the cup – it also looked made of rocks, for some reason.
