Oh my gosh! I had the weirdest dream!

Okay so my dream was that there was this Wattycon. And all these famous authors were there. And you have to get nominated to go. Well the authors had to lol. And I got nominated and oh my gosh it was so much fun!

Okay on with the story

"I'm so nervous." James said rubbing his thighs.

"You?" Bo scoffed. "I feel like I'm gonna shit my pants. Her dad scares me."

"Caleb isn't that bad." I laughed.

"Are you kidding me?" Bo asked shocked.

"At least you aren't facing someone who was the alpha."

'Quit you're bitchin.' Dimitri said annoyed.

"Dimitri just told me to stop bitching." I said getting pissed.

We finally pulled up to Alex's pack house and I parked my truck.

I leaned back and took a deep breathe.

"Let's do this." James said getting out of the back seat.

I groaned. "I'm so not looking forward to this."

We walked up the steps and into the living room.

"Hello Skylar." I smiled.

"Hello sweetie." She smiled back. "What can I do for you?"

"Uh is Axel here?"

She nodded. "He's in his office."

"Thank you." I smiled and walked towards his office.

The guys gave me a thumbs up.

I glared at them and raised my first to knock on the door.

"Come in." Axel's deep voice sounded through the hallway.

I slowly opened the door and saw Axel talking to Mark, Caleb, and a couple other guys.

"Oh. Kaydon." Axel smiled staining up. "What can I do for you son?"

"Umm I was actually wondering if I could talk to you." I said nervously as I looked at everyone else. "Uh alone."

Axel nodded looking serious. "Can you give us a minute?"

Everyone nodded and got up.

"And may I talk to you?" James asked Mark.

Bo looked at Caleb.

"I'm guessing you would like to talk to me?" Caleb asked seriously.

Bo gulped and nodded nervously.

"Okay then." Caleb said walking out of the room.

Damn. Bo was right. He is scary.

"I have a feeling I know what you are gonna ask." Axel said leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms.

Okay. Maybe Axel is scarier.

"Uh. I want to talk about your daughter, Alex." I said politely as I sat in the chair in front of his desk.

"I knew it." Axel said looking at me.

"Um. I was asking to see if it was okay if Alex moved in with me."

Axel glared at me even harder. "Why?"

I gulped. Shit this is nerve wracking.

"Well she is my mate. And Kyle's pack doesn't know we are mates. The only one from that pack that knows is Lou. And he isn't even with them anymore. So I think it would be best and safer if she lived with me." I said cautiously.

Axel leaned forward and studied me.

'He's making me nervous.' Dimitri said suddenly.

I couldn't agree with him more.

"I understand where you are coming from. But are you saying she wouldn't be safe with us?" Axel asked his voice raising a little.

"Not at all sir." I said shaking my head. "I'm just saying that Kyle's pack knows she here. They don't know we are mates. I will have her train with us and she will be under protection 24/7. No no. Make that 25/8." I said trying to make him feel better.

He chuckled. "Do you honestly think Alex will like 25/8 protection?"

I smiled. "Probably not. She might get mad at me, but that's a chance I'm willing to take."

"Be honest with me." Axel said looking at me. "Were you nervous to ask me?"

I took a few breaths and nodded. "Yes I was. I was worried that you would say no. But I honestly do think it would be better because of the stuff that they don't know. But she is my mate. She's perfect and I love her."

Axel made a face of surprise. "You love her?"

I smiled down at my hands. "I do. So so so much."

"Hmm." Axel hummed. "Have you told her?"

I shook my head slowly. "I'm scared she won't say it back or reject me."

"You? Afraid of rejection?"

I gaped at Axel and he just laughed.

"Well when it comes to Alex, yes I am." I laughed.

"How sweet." Axel teased.

"Gee thanks." I mumbled.

"Well." He said sighing. "It's not my decision."

My head shot up. "So you're okay with it?"

He smiled. "I'm a dad. Of course I'm not okay with it."

"True." I laughed.

"But it's not my decision. It's truly Alex's."

"Thank you sir." I said as I stood up.

"Of course." Axel said shaking my hand. "Just please take good care of her. Protect my little girl."

"I will with my life." I promised.

Axel smiled and nodded his thanks.

I nodded back and walked out of his office.

'One down. One more to go.' Dimitri said.
