Chapter 44: Nope

Mia's POV:

"Baby, wake up," I hear Justin's voice whisper.

My eyes remain closed as I try my best to ignore him so I can sleep longer.

"C'mon baby."

I groan and snuggle into the covers.

He kisses my cheek and chuckles.

"Baby, c'mon," he begs.

"Justin, leave me the fuck alone. I'm fuckin' exhausted," I spat.

"Damn baby."

He pulls me into his chest, burying his face into neck.

My eyes remain closed as I try to go back to sleep.

"Baby wake up," he mumbles against my neck.

"Justin, leave me the fuck alone. Let me sleep. Damn."

I feel him smack my ass, causing my eyes to shoot open.

I turn around and stare at him angrily, examining the smirk on his face.

"Are you pissed at me?," he laughs.

"Yes, I'm pissed at you. Why couldn't you just let me sleep?"

"Because I don't wanna do this bet anymore."

I snicker and lay back down, ignoring his request.

"What's so funny?," he asks confused.

"You. Why would you make a bet that you know would put you through torture?"

"Because I thought you would give up first," he responds.

I burst out into laughter.

"What the fuck?," I laugh.

"Babe, I don't care about this bet anymore. I'll jump in a tank full of sharks, I just can't do this."

I sigh.

"Fine."

He quickly hovers over me and brushes his lips against mine, but I place my hand on his chest, stopping him.

"Not until you do your part of the bet," I point out.

His jaw drops.

"You've gotta be kidding me," he groans.

I smile a little before laughing at him.

I've been writing this series for so long. I'm not sick of it, I'm just being a little realistic.

Six books is a lot of a series.
