You stopped by the store on your way to school. You hadn't opened your mouth the entire day out of fear that you would let out an ungodly scream of frustration. As you trudged towards the convenience store for the third time in 24 hours, you took deep breaths, willing yourself to not let out a blood curdling scream.

You grabbed what your parents needed, but on your way through the isles, a carton of banana milk caught your eye. You grabbed two, quickly moving to the cash register.

The worker wasn't Soobin anymore. It was some sweet old guy who looked like he had so much wisdom stored in his voluminous white beard.

He smiled kindly as he handed you your items and you couldn't help but smile back, feeling the frustration that had been previously building leave.

You left the store with a smile on your face, despite not having exchanged a single word with the man. He just had the sort of vibe that made him feel sweeter than candy.

You felt better on your walk to school and when you plopped down in your desk, you didn't feel the need to hold back a scream anymore.

You reached into your bag, pulling out one of the cartons of milk you'd bought. You leaned over and placed it on the desk next to you before sipping on the one you'd got yourself. You pulled out your math books, sure to take a look at what lesson you were learning today. Sure enough, this is where the new material began. You'd have to pay attention in math class. How unfortunate.

In from the door, immediately catching your eye was HueningKai as he made his way to his desk, furrowing his brows at the carton that rest on top. He picked it up and turned to you with a look of confusion on his face. You tilted your carton towards him, as if cheers-ing him which didn't seem to clear up any confusion. He just sat down before further examining the carton, making sure it wasn't a trap or a prank.  Eventually, when he decided it was safe, he opened the carton and began to drink.

The teacher began her lesson and you were laser focussed on it. You could barely take your eyes off the chalk board as she explained the concept. If there was a concept that you found confusing, you'd write down everything the teacher said about the concept in hopes of understanding it later.

When class ended, the teacher had given you ten extra minutes to do some assignment questions, but no one actually did them. Everyone put their stuff in their backpacks and began conversations. You didn't feel like doing questions that day so you did the same. It was a testament to how the environment can affect. You'd already found yourself not putting as much effort into your uniform. You hadn't yet ditched the tie but it was only a matter of time before you did.

"Thank you," you heard from beside you. HueningKai was sitting on his desk to lessen the distance between the two of you. His voice, as opposed to previous days, seemed more relaxed. He gestured to the empty carton of banana milk which he cradled in his hands.

"It's an apology for yesterday," you told him, giving him a polite smile.

"You don't have anything to apologize for," HueningKai assured you.

"I comfortably teased you yesterday as if we were friends. I felt really bad," you admitted, turning in your seat to face him.

"I didn't mind it," he told you, lowering the volume of his voice.

"Really?" You asked, brows jumping in surprise.

"You didn't have to get this for me," HueningKai coughed, changing the subject quickly.

"I had to go there anyways," you shrugged, fiddling with your own empty carton.

"Find me at lunch and I'll get you something to pay you back," HueningKai told you, staring down at the carton in his hands.
