Forever and Always
Chapter 1
I woke up to the soft hum of the plane engine. I opened the blinds to see nothing but dark clouds around me.
"Sorry for the interruption passengers but we're going to have to make an emergency landing in New York City , there is a bad snow storm rolling through and we don't want to risk anything,"
As the flight attendant hung up, you could hear a light moan from everyone in the plane. No one ever wants to make an emergency landing ever. Especially me, I'm Myesha, I'm 18 years old and I've always had the dream of becoming a singer. My dream became a reality this Christmas. My grandmother gave me a plane ticket to L.A. to chase it. She has always pushed me to be the greatest I can be and really she is the only support I have. But now that we have to make this stupid landings I guess my dreams have to wait a little longer.
"Passengers please buckle your seat belts and turn off your cellphones as we begin the descend into New York City."
I did as the flight attendant said and buckled my seat belt and tried to drift off to sleep since I've never really liked landings.
"Ma'am wake up please." I hear someone say.
I peaked open my eyes and saw we've finally landed.
I grabbed my bags and headed off into the airport. There were people scattered everywhere, some in sleeping bags and others sitting In chairs. I saw an open chair just outside the gate and decide to sit there, I pulled out my laptop and went to google maps. From New York to L.A is about 2,780 miles which would take 1 day and 20 hours to drive if I drove straight through. Not so bad, but the problem is, how can I get there with the little money I have. I set my laptop down and pulled out my phone
"Siri call grandma."
"Calling grandma." Ring ring
"Hello." I hear my grandmother say.
"Hi, mom mom I've called to tell you that there was a really bad snow storm so we had to make an emergency landing in New York. But don't worry I looked up how long it would take to get to L.A and it's only 1 day and 20 hours which isn't that bad. Is there anyway you could send me a cab to come and get me?"
"I'm sorry Hun , you know I'm living pay check to pay check and there's no way I could afford it, I just spent all my money on your plane ticket." She sounded crushed saying no to me
"It's okay mom mom, I'll just wait till the snow storm is over, love you, I'm going to try to get some sleep now and thanks for everything."
"Love you too Hun , stay safe."
I hung up my phone and put my phone back into my purse. When I looked up a young boy about the age of 19 approached me.
"I overheard your conversation babe, I think I can help you out."
