Mike's POV

As I was walking through the streets of the city, I passed the spring festival fair ground and noticed the tents still were setting up. It's the first time I am watching a festival fair. Though it has not started yet, but the kind of preparations happening seems like the fair's goanna be a great thing.

As I was continuing walking, I crossed the mayor's house, or you can say mom's house. I really had no idea that mom's dad was a mayor. Though I haven't met him in real life, but grandma Grace also never told me this.

Suddenly, as I was walking along the footpath, I noticed someone familiar. As I moved closer, I noticed it was none other than dad. As I was moving more closer, I heard a familiar feminine voice, to which dad was talking to. I hid near a wall, peeking on dad and the person he was talking to. As I saw it more clearly, I noticed it was none other than mom.

Wait, it's the first time I am seeing mom and dad together. Did they know each other, in the past?

"Um, you know the festival is coming?" I heard dad asking.

"Festival? Oh, you mean the Spring festival?" Mom replied.

Ah, I see. Things going between them are going pretty interesting.

"Um, yeah. See you later." I heard mom replied thus ending their conversation. Alright, this conversation was very-very interesting. Time to see how does dad sees it.

As mom left the place and dad was about to leave, I showed myself in front of me. He had a surprised face.

"Mike?" he said.

"Hello there, Ash. I just saw you doing something interesting." I replied, to which he had some embarrassment on his face. Wow, I am messing up with dad. I don't know if I doing right, but it's just a revenge for me as he always messed with me whenever I came from meeting Avery or even when I just utter her name.

"Well... I guess you saw it." Dad said.

"Oh yes, I saw everything." I replied with a small smirk on my face.

"Well, it's not what you think. I just invited her to the spring festival fare." He said.

"Really? But I heard you invited her to see the fireworks, and that too with YOU" I replied, making some pressure on 'you'. On hearing this, he sighed in defeat.

"Alright, you win. Yes, I invited her." He said.

"And any reason for this?" I asked.

"Uh... well... it's that she... I mean I want to see fireworks with all of my friends." He replied.

"Huh? You didn't invite me though." I said, to which he took a deep sigh.

"Alright, you win again. I kind of like her." He replied.

"That's what I wanted to hear. Nice ging da- I mean Ash." I said. Man, I need to stop this saying of Dad.

"Leave all of it and listen to me. Can you help me in this matter?" he asked.

"What do you mean helping?" I asked.

"I mean, you look like a guy who is a professional on these things. So, I just wanted some help." He replied. Wow, dad's saying me a love lord. Am I?

"Well, you have come to the correct person. I have my own harem at my home." I lied. Wow Mike, salute to you on this lying and that too 'harem'.

"Alright, stop saying your fantasy and come to reality." Dad replied. Ow, that hurts.
