After Cell Was Destroyed and 16 was able to break off the control placed on her by Cell, she decided that she would no longer desire to kill Tommy.

Goku.

You know.

Instead she wanted to spend a life of being a normal woman.

And she wanted to spend that life with Krillin.

After all it was because of him that 16 was able to break off the control.

So of course 16 would want to repay krillin in some way.

A wife or something of that nature should repay the debt.

Right?

A debt she would enjoy paying because she would benefit from it.

It was soon revealed to Gohan that Caleb was his half brother from the future.

Instead of being angry about this and knowing that he was born from a woman who loved Tommy/Goku more than his mother did, Gohan accepted him.

Just like his future counterpart did before he met his end.

Chi Chi was pulled to the side and was told by Tommy what was done and why Bulma did it.

And her reaction was not unusual.

She was pissed.

So pissed that a fight broke out between Tommy and Chi Chi.

She was so heart broken that she did not want to hear what else Tommy had to say.

But then she heard him mention of using the dragon balls to fuse her and Bulma together.

The thought of being around or even sharing the same body as this woman-it was enough to turn her stomach.

But then she began to consider that Bulma loved her husband.

And Chi Chi loved him as well.

That was why she married him after all.

So after a week or so, Chi Chi agreed to fuse with bulma.

Becoming one being that would love Tommy unconditionally.

It took a lot of courage to meet the son of Bulma and Tommy.

Both One of the present and one from the future.

But she was able to summon the courage and meet them both.

The young version of the present.

And the older version of the future.

Future Caleb respected Chi chi as if she was his second mother.

And truth be told-logically speaking-she was.

Now-the 7 dragon balls have been gathered.

And Shenron was summoned.

The first wish was to bring back the people who were killed by Cell and the androids.

The second wish was that Chi Chi and Bulma fused into one person.

And that was done.

But not in the way none expected it to be done.
