CHAPTER 26

"WE WOULD'VE been married three weeks ago Ate Lou." Bobbie sighed.

Ilang araw na niyang iniisip ang mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa kanila ni Andrew...ni Adrian. Nalilito pa din siya sa lahat. She wanted to be tough and unfeeling like the old Bobbie was pero hindi niya magawa. She's so disappointed with how this relationship turned out. Out of everybody, she loved this man the most. She's still in love with him, hindi naman mababago iyon. This will be a truth that will last her a lifetime.

"Hindi niyo na ba maayos?" Louisa asked. "Did he give up on you already?"

"How can we fix something like this? Hindi ko alam kung saan o kung papaano ko aayusin to. How do I even begin?" She wanted to drink a bottle of vodka but her cousin had other plans and instead they're at home drinking coffee.

"Alam ko naman na mali siya and I will not side with him on that fact pero he really does love you." And she knows that as well pero hindi niya pa mahanap sa sarili niya ang patawarin ito. He lied to her and he allowed her to suffer through his brother. "Nagkausap na ba uli kayo?"

"He regularly sees me." She said.

Mula noong tinapos niya ang relasyon nila ay umalis na din si Andrew sa bahay niya but he told her that he's not giving up and that he will try to make her at the very least listen to what he has to say. Andrew usually drops by in the afternoon, waiting for her to get home or waiting if she'll open the door. Sometimes she does but she just sends him away, minsan he'll just drop off food or anything she might like.

"And how does that go?"

"Ate, hindi ko pa mahanap sa sarili ko na makinig sa kanya. Iniisip ko lang yung pinagdaanan ko sa kapatid niya. I fell in love with him and ended up chasing his brother. Adrian hurt me so much." Naramdaman nanaman niya ang pamimigat ng kalooban niya. She hates how she felt and the pain doubles because of how involved Andrew was with that pain.

Andrew tries apologizing. One day he goes to a company that Bobbie is taking over and steps in to intervene sa rally when things turn kind of violent. Haharang to nung may ibato nanaman sa kanya.

The usual things started to happen again, parang bumabalik na uli sa magulo ang buhay niya ever since that day that she found out about the truth. Ang tanging hindi nagbago lang ata ay ang mabuting tingin ng pamilya niya kay Andrew, oo at nagalit ang mga ito but they still entertain him after a few days. Naiintindihan naman niya, he's kind and warm but he's hurt her in a way that broke her. She lost faith in love because of him.

Nasa opisina uli siya ngayon para sa isang meeting. She has her eyes on taking over an old food manufacturing company. Madami na ang na-lay off na mga trabahante kahit na kilala itong brand at kompanya. Bobbie's eyeing to keep this and merge it with their own food manufacturing arm. Pero as usual, may mga trabahante na mali ang tingin sa nangyayari, akala ng mga ito na tatanggalan niya sila ng kabuhayan when in fact ay gusto niya lang naman ibangon iyon. Palagi na lang talagang masama ang tingin sa kanya.

Nagkakagulo na uli sa labas kahit na may mga extrang security na ang andoon. She was walking towards the entrance nang makahulagpos ang ilang mga tao at nagsitakbong lumapit sa kanya. They were throwing water bottles, small rocks and some other things towards her. Nahaharangan naman iyon ng security niya pero nung lumaki na ang mga bato ay nagulat na lang siyang nasa harapan na siya si Andrew, nakaharang ito sa gilid niya at siyang natatamaan ng ilang mga binabato.

"Bobbie," nakaharang si Andrew sa pagitan niya at ng ilang mga trabahante doon. Alam niyang ito ang tinatamaan ngayon ng mga binabato sa kanya.

"Andrew," she's feeling anger seeing na nasasaktan ito.

"What's with you and people throwing things?" He smiles. "Are you okay?"

Wala sa sariling napatango siya. People were still kind of rioting, throwing random things towards them all of which is blocked by Andrew.
