"Ma'am Dana, ipinaayos ko na po yung document na ibinalik nyo sa mga taga procurement. Pinarevise ko na rin po yung memo ng HR."
"Thanks, Liezl."
"Ah Maam,..."
"Yes?"
"May naghahanap po kasi sa inyo."
"Who?"
"Ahmmmn, si Sir Akim po."
"Let him leave."
"Paalisin ko po?"
"Salamat Ms. Liezl, pero ako na ang bahala."
"I am not letting intruders come to my office."
"Dana...."
I tried not to give attention to Akim. I tried not to look at him but he knows my weakness too well.
"Tinola?"
I rolled my eyes.
"May custard cake na dessert? at kwek-kwek for a snack?"
"Can you please leave?"
He sighed.
"Okay, but please eat this."
Akim left. At nung makasigurado akong wala na sya, I dig in. Di ko talaga maitatanggi na masarap magluto si Akim. Sana naman hindi ako maging marupok dito.
The next day, Akim's in the office again. And again, I shoo him leaving all the food. He repeatedly came until the fifth day, mas maaga syang dumating na nauna pa sya sa akin. He was even seating on my chair.
"Good morning Dana!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Liezel!"
"Maám?"
"Make him leave."
"Maám, sabi po ng Mama nyo."
"What?"
"Liezel, I'll handle this, you can leave."
Liezel left me with Akim??
"What's that?"
"Your diary when you are 16?"
"How did you get that?"
"Your mother gave me this."
"Akim!"
"Oh, C'mmon Dana."
"What are you wearing?"
"My highschool uniform?"
"Why are you wearing that?"
"You wish to have a date after school when you are 16. Alam mo, napanood ko ito sa kdrama ni Mommy eh. The girl wanted to experience dating when she was in highschool pero walang nag-aya sa kanya so the guy fulfilled that dream and they were so happy."
"So you expect me to be happy like them?"
"No."
"No? No pala eh! Anong ginagawa mo pa rito?!!!"
"No, because I will make you happy more than they do. Tara?"
"No. I have a lot of things to do."
"Ahmmn, your Mom allowed us to go and Liezl is covering for you so, we'll be leaving whether you like it or not."
"I said No, Akim!"
"Bubuhatin pa ba kita para sumama ka?"
"I won't be going out with someone who doesn't know how to fulfill promises."
