I watched her as she stared blankly at the outdoor setting . We were currently sitting on top of a hill looking down at our town . This has been our spot since we were little . It's really pretty .

I shifted my eyes back to her . I knew she dealt with depression . I knew she had a lot of insecurities , a lot of doubts about life .. but I was there for her . I had to be because I love her too much just to watch her go through it all alone . I've known y/n since we were 8 .. her family had just moved to Korea and she was new to my class .

Seeing a small brown girl in a class full of yellow skinned kids was new . But nonetheless she was beautiful .. she didn't talk to anybody or play with anybody .. she had this lonely aura that oddly made me attracted to her . So I went to talk to her . At first she wouldn't say anything to me .. she just stared at me .. until school was finally over . I watched curiously as her parents came to pick her up and I waved goodbye to her . Surprisingly she smiled and waved back . And since then .. just like that she became my best friend .

Now just like she was in elementary school y/n never said more than 12 words a day .. but I didn't mind .. her company was enough for me . But her not talking led a lot of people to think that they could bully her . Which also led to her beating up half the school .

A lot of people think we are dating because we are literally around each other every day . We're 19 Now and we even live together . Some people ask me am in love with her .. well .. no I am not . But our bond is really strong but really weird . We do things a couple would do , minus the sex part .. we don't have sex . But everything else is a yes . I care about her deeply but we don't love each other in that kind of way .. but she is my soul mate .. I feel it .

"Y/N?" I called out to her as she laid comfortably against my chest . The sun rays shining beautifully on her clear brown skin . She looked up at me without saying anything , not that I expected her to . "Are you okay?" I asked and she seemed to hesitate on what to respond . She slowly nodded while still looking up at me .

I dipped down to kiss her lips and she kissed me back . Like I said no feelings are involved , but this is how we are . I wrapped my arms around her body and stared at the sun set with her . I knew she wasn't okay right now ,, but we've been working on it together .. I'll make sure she's okay in the future . "I love you y/n" I said .

"I love you too" she spoke .. her voice was always so quiet when she talked .
