Tumors on the wall

The first hours at home were awful. Meredith was constantly throwing up. She tried walking to the toilet but she was so tired that the 3th time she just fell on the ground. Derek was getting her some water downstairs so he couldn't support her like he used to do.

"Shit, mer! Are you okay?"

"Hmm y-es" She groaned

"Let's get you cleaned"

"I'm sorry"

"Mer.. I'm serious! Stop saying you're sorry please.. I love you"

Derek's phone started ringing

"Yes, Shepherd?" Derek said

"Derek, It's Alex. I'll be at yours in 10"

"Alex would you mind keeping them downstairs until I come down? Mer just fell and she has thrown up on herself so I'm putting her in the shower"

"Shit.. Yeah Of course no problem.. Jo will come too she proposed to make you some dinner"

"Oh you guys are the best"

"Go take care of Mer, see you in 10"

10 minutes later

The kids and Alex and Jo walked in the house and Jo walked to the kitchen with Ellis who wanted to help cooking. Bailey and Zola were asking were their parents were.

"Your mom and dad are taking a shower, you'll see them soon why don't we play a little game?"

They nodded

20 minutes later

Derek walked downstairs

"Hey guys!" She shouted

All 3 the kids came running to him to hug their dad

"Where's mommy" Ellis asked

"She's upstairs sleeping, why don't we check what auntie Jo is cooking?" Derek said

"I'm gonna check on Mer if you don't mind?" Alex said

"No please, she'll be happy too see you" Derek said

Alex walked upstairs to the master bedroom. He walked in to see Meredith laying on her side and a bucket next to the bed

"Mer?"

"Alex?"

"Yeah it's me.. how is the puking?" He was joking

"Great.. I'm gonna ask a new bucket for my birthday"

Alex was laughing

"Mer.. I.. I need to tell you something"

"You're not leaving to Hopkins again aren't you?"

"Hahaha no Mer, I.. You're gonna be an auntie and I'm gonna be a dad!" He said very happy

"You gotta be kidding me?" Mer tried to sit up, but quickly lowered herself back down feeling a wave of dizziness take over.

"Nope.. Jo's pregnant.. but only 6 weeks so we haven't told anyone but you're our only family"

"Alex, that's great!" She started to hug him until she felt sick again and started to throw up

"Fist day is the worst.. you'll feel better tomorrow. Now let's give you your medicine so you can at least try to eat something"

"I like parenting Alex.." She joked

"No more evil spawn?" He laughed

2 hours later

"Thanks guys for helping" Derek said as Alex and Jo walked out of the house

"No problem McDreamy! Take care and say bye to Mer please!"

Derek closed the front door

"Hey kids, what do you think about seeing mom before going to bed?"

The kids got very exited

"Don't forget that mom is sick and tired so try not to scream and don't jump on her please"

They all agreed

They went upstairs and Meredith felt a bit better. She hadn't thrown up for 50 minutes and she was able to eat a little.

"Hey, kiddo's how was school" She asked

"I played soccer again" Bailey said

"Mom, I have an A for English and math!" Zola said very exiting

"Hey Ellie, how was your day?"

"Okay" Ellis said

"Mom, next week there's a math contest and I think I'll win" Zola said

"I'm so sure you're gonna do great" Derek said

"Can daddy and I play soccer this weekend?" Bailey asked

"Of course bud!" Derek replied

The 5 of them were laying in the big bed and Meredith fell back asleep so Derek brought the kids to their bed except for Zola she could stay up a little longer so they decided to watch some tv together

Around 9 Derek brought Zola to bed and he decided to do some paperwork

Mer's POV

I feel so tired, my head hurts and I feel like I need to throw up again.. of course the first day will be the worst but this is worse than I imagined it to be. My kids will forget who their mom is, my husband will see me as his patient and not as his wife..
