I walk the streets aimlessly until I wind up at the diner where Olivia and I met. I walk through the doors, a bell greeting me. A large and loud group is on the far left side. I start walking over to the other side when I hear her.

"Mia!"

I turn at the sound of my best friend. "Sarah," I say.

She stands and motions me over. She starts to scoot out of her booth. I walk over to her and she pulls me into a tight hug. I feel that pull that I haven't felt in so so long.

"You good?" she whispers.

I shrug. She nods.

God, I miss her.

"We can go," she says. Before I can even protest, she tells her group she'll be back in a few minutes and we're heading out the door. "You should have texted me," she said as we walked around to the back of the diner.

I shrug. "I don't have my phone. I just woke up."

She freezes. She knows something serious has happened. "What happened?"

I take a deep breath and lose control. I break into huge sobs and she just holds me. "It's my dad," I cry. "He's back."
