"Get out. And you better be here at 3:30 when I pick you up. No games."
I nod at my mom and walk into school. I hurry to the library. I was dying to see Sarah, but at the same time I didn't want to see her at all. I kept my head down. I breathed a sigh of relief when I walked through the library doors. I'm home.
The library is my haven. Rarely will you see Sarah in here, though. She only came in when I begged her.
Should I have to beg my best friend for that?
"Hey!"
I jump and turn. I forget everything with my mom and Sarah. "Olivia! It's so good to see you again!"
"We just saw each other yesterday," she says, giggling.
I roll my eyes. "It's been too long."
She hugs me. "I agree."
"What's your first hour?" I ask.
She studies a white paper; I'm assuming it's her schedule. "I have geometry."
My smile falters for a moment. "That sucks. I have world history."
The bell rings and I can't help the feeling of disappointment that fills me.
"See you later," she says.
I nod. "See you later."
