Ember Odair leads a rich life in District 4: she's the sister of the famous Finnick Odair, winner of the Hunger Games at just 14 years old, and she knows that everyone hopes that one day she will offer herself as a tribute. However, there's no need, because first her sister Ribelle is reaped and, the following year, she herself, at her first Reaping. This Odair "massacre" goes against all statistics and Ember will have to end her childhood too soon, forced to grow up early by the horrible world into which she was born. She will have to understand what and who is behind all this, defeat her inner demons and learn to do the most important thing of all in a place like Panem: accept death, even of the people she loves. This is her life path, from birth to freedom.

(Currently being edited) The districts have been defeated and now the Capitol has set up the Hunger Games as a punishment, a live reality show where teenagers fight to the death. Everyone is terrified of one thing someone they love being chosen and one thing is discovered very early on the games don't just take lives they take who you are.

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Katniss Everdeen didn't go to save Peeta Mellark right away? Or what would have happened to Panem if Katniss hadn't become the Mockingjay? Cameron Trinity and her younger brother, Trem, were just reaped from District Nine, a district that nobody seems to care about and their tributes die early. Once they get into the arena Cameron and Trem try their best to just keep out of everyone's way and not kill unless completely necessary.
