Miley thought moving to a new city would be a fresh start. A new house. A new school. A life that finally felt like her own. But at Blackwood High, time doesn't move forward. Sleep became a foreign concept to him since as soon as he started dreaming, it always ended with him dying. During the day, he was also being followed by hallucinations. Unfortunately, his bizarre therapist wasn't much help. One fateful day, Alex went home from work but an illusion - a cat - broke out of the routine. The student had had enough and decided on the spur of the moment to follow it - but before he knew it, he was stuck in a completely strange world with equally suspicious inhabitants. Suddenly he was caught up in the conflicts of the four kingdoms of Mystogandría, destined as the so called Vanitas to bring peace. But how can an ordinary person possibly end the war between mythical creatures? And why can't he get a certain pair of eyes out of his head?

For the open novella contest, this is a story about a young girl who wakes up in the small town of Star Dew. The scenery is nice. The town's people are friendly. But she has no memories of how she got there. And things get surreal when she tries to leave town but is looped back in. Her only clue is a purple iris that glows in her dreams.
