Izuku Midoriya was neglected by his father Hisashi Midoriya due to him being 'misdiagnosed' as "quirkless" , Izuku's mom Inko Midoriya couldnt bare to see his preciouse son being treated of such, as a solution Inko gave Izuku to an old friend of hers before her death the next day, that 'friend' of Inko was a certain..erm uhm mouse? uhm bear? well lets just say the Principal of UA took care of Izuku as if his own.
