April Tadashi is the daughter of the well-known volleyball player, Yamato Tadashi. Her older brother, Kaito plays on his university's volleyball team and is well-known throughout the whole world. April had always been athletic ever since she was young, but she had one setback, she was deaf. She managed to prove many people wrong, by playing sports and being able to beat many opponents. April always felt that she wasn't good at the sports she plays, because people didn't like her on the team and her disability. Now along with her childhood friend Tobio Kageyama, she enters Karasuno High School. She immediately realizes how much her disability would cause her to be rejected despite her many achievements. Kageyama decides to find a way for April to play on a team. Kageyama wanted April to prove to the people who had rejected her that they should have allowed her to join despite her disability. April finds comfort in the Karasuno Boys' Volleyball team and helps them make it to nationals. This is the story of how a deaf player can achieve such great goals alongside the people who helped them. (Picture is not mine! Credits to the artist!!)
