I blinked. Once. Twice. Three times. I pinched myself and rubbed at the skin,I wasn't dreaming and my eyes weren't deceiving me. With a head of inky black hair and features that seemed like they were carved from marble was a man. My eyes slowly descended, taking in his unconscious form. From broad shoulders that slowly tapered to slim hips,it was what lay below that scratched out the term "man". Stretched out on the grains of white gold was a tail, fish tail to be precise. The scales that adorned it,shimmered an aquamarine that would have several kings of art tear out their hair in failure to reproduce it on canvas. My observations were cut short and my breath hitched when he opened his eyes. My heart stuttered. His eyes.
