Alexi Dubrov, Prince of Leon, has been informed by his father the King that he has been contracted to marry one of the Princesses of Celia, the land to the South, filled with disgusting humans. Humans only serve one purpose and that's food. It didn't matter if she was a Princess or a baker's daughter, no human was fit to be his consort, his future Queen.

Evelyn Briar, Princess of Celia, second daughter to the King. Her father has signed her life away, her future, her happiness, like it was nothing, like she was nothing. The Prince of Leon, a vampire, was set to pick amongst one of the King's daughters. This gave her a one in three chance to possibly lose her life forever. Vampires had been preying on the people of Celia since the dawn of time. This was their last ditch effort for peace between humans and vampires, sealed in marriage.
