Jas isn't completely blind. So she sees the perfect opportunity to smack her ass and smack it hard. Mash gets it and drops it on her chest. Then she squints her eyes and raises an eyebrow. Mash is straddling her still so Jas looks up smiles and kisses the air towards Mash. Mash responds by using Jas' forehead to help push her back to her side of the bed. She made sure to avoid her injured side. So when Jas says "Ouch motherfucker, that hurt." she knew Jas was full of shit. "There's your stank phone now call your mama back." If this was anyone else Jas wouldn't probably ever be able to even imagine smiling again. Sadly this even includes her own mother. So now she has to pretend nothing is wrong and that everything is normal. Mash can see her facial expression change. She says "I'm here with you.....asshole." That makes Jas chuckle. Mash then touches her arm to comfort her. Jas doesn't want to lie/pretend with her mom but just thinking about talking to her already snaps her out of Mash induced haze. Plus she doesn't want her mom to feel bad. She and Mash have become engrossed in that little bubble of theirs, where all serious issues and damage aren't forgotten but put to the side. Mash isn't sick at the moment, Jas is traumatized but just seeing Mash smile makes her feel happier, you can even say safer too. Talking to somebody, everybody else, requires leaving the safety of that bubble. Thrusting Jas back into reality. Forcing her to stop hiding away with Mash enjoying just being together in seclusion. Making her address what's really going on. Jas takes a deep breath and readies herself to act. Then calls her mother back.
