Three years after the Clone Wars began and five years after the Avengers formed, Separatist forces led by General Grievous launched an attack on London Coruscant the United Republic capitol. The scheme was aided by a secret intelligence officer who is connected to the criminal underworld who is overheard on Grievous's comm link by Iron Man. The Avengers fend off the Separatists who are weakened after losing a key part of their leadership and the United Republic has a chance to defeat the Separatist and end the Clone Wars once and for all. As Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain America, Falcon go off to Utapu in South Asia to find General Grievous while Wanda, Vision, Hawkeye and Quinlan Vos go to Kashykk (which is in the Central African jungle) to search for the secret intelligence officer both missions viewed as the key to ending the war once and for all. Anakin Skywalker struggles with dark prophetic dreams, which make him fear that his beloved Padmé Amidala is in danger. With the fate of the galaxy on the edge of a knife, he considers the temptations of the dark side to save her life, but his decision will have disastrous consequences on everyone involved in the war and the fate of the planet.

Anakin Skywalker has always wanted more. Growing up as a slave on Tatooine, he always felt that the he was meant for more than the confines of the sandy planet. His dreams of flying amongst the stars and reaching the other side of the galaxy always seemed so far out of reach, at least for now. As their fates are intertwined, Penelope and Anakin must face countless challenges that put their friendship, faith, and later love to the test. Will they be strong enough to make it through? Or is history doomed to repeat itself in the destruction of everything they hold dear?
