If she could just find someone who kept her half as entertained as him, who made her laugh half as well as he did, she wouldn't need him. She wouldn't care how many people he slept with. She wouldn't miss his touch when it was gentle, or his touch when it was rough. She wouldn't miss his perfect hair being mussed by her fingers, or the way his husky laugh rang out at her jokes. She wouldn't miss the way he eyed her after she had said or done something that made her less and less human to him, and more like an equal. She wouldn't miss a thing about Sebastian Michaelis.
