Atsushi and Akutagawa are sent on a mission to infiltrate the school for heroes, known as UA, in order to protect the city. The Armed detective agency has been receiving anonymous tips leading towards a conclusion that an organisation called the league of villans has a traitor, hiding in UA. At the same time, the league attempts to sneak into Yokohama to build a base there, away from the heroes. Somehow, they ended up on vacation together. After a disastrous outing, the members of the Armed Detective Agency find themselves on a luxury cruise. They think they're here on a mission, but Atsushi Nakajima knows the truth. This is all actually an elaborate scheme to get the stressed detectives to go on vacation. Sure, he has no idea what actually happened on said outing, but it's his job to make sure things go smoothly. A job that becomes cataclysmically more difficult when the Port Mafia is discovered to also be on board. Meanwhile, Akutagawa is ordered by Dazai to investigate a series of mysteries while keeping his own presence on the ship a secret. Things start going wrong however when a) his illness starts affecting him more than normal and b) *The stupid fucking weretiger spots him.* Suddenly working together, Atsushi and Akutagawa begrudgingly find themselves spending the trip side by side. Annoyingly in the same cabin, frustratingly way too close for comfort. Bungou Stray Dogs and all its characters belong to Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa Bolded quotes are excerpted from "Hell Screen" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa (the real one).

just a new student all out of place , just confused by his atmosphere , he's not used to all of this fancy stuff - he's used to fighting , arguing and way more , he's not used to a boarding school - will he fit in and find friends or will he still keep going with his old ways ? i don't own any of the characters in this story - they are characters from Bungo Stray Dogs !

At each round of harsh criticism-or moreso snobby commentary-Dazai would cross out another name on the paper in front of him. He seems pretty... judgemental. So each time another word sprouts from his mouth, another sensation of dread gets thrown straight across my face. I'm a nobody. I have no friends, no family, and no sense of direction. And he already chose someone like me over any of those successful people... It's either there's something really, really wrong with Dazai-san or he has the wrong idea of me. And I'm not really sure which is better. As the crowd started to clamor again, the host cleared their throat to gather our attention. "Moving on to the final category, Best Short Film is awarded to..." There was a long, dragged-out pause in the sake of building suspense. But, honestly, for me, there wouldn't be much of a difference between who won any of these prizes. I have no clue who any of these people are or what they've done. "Rashōmon by Akutagawa Ryuunosuke."
