A couple days later. at the bunker.
I groaned as Dean's alarm went off.
Dena turned it off and sat up, yawning.
I turned to him, yawning.
Suddenly Miracle, the dog we took in, jumped into the bed.
Dean pulled him into a hug "Hey, buddy.Good morning."
I petted Miracle and he licked my hand.
Control room.
i was playing with Miracle as Dean was cleaning the weapons.
Sam walked to us and sat down "Nothing weird coming over the wire. Social media looks clean. You got anything?"
Dean didn't say anything as he looked at his computer.
Me "handsome?"
Dean nodded "I got something."
At a restaurant.
We got out of the Impala.
I sighed when i saw what was in front of us.
Sam "Are you sure you're ready for this?"
Dean shook his head "Oh, I don't have a choice. This is my destiny."
I looked at the banner "Welcome to the 43rd Annual Akron Pie Fest!"
Dean's voice cracked "It's just so beautiful."
Sam "Are you crying?"
I looked at Dean.
He wiped his tears away.
I felt tears come up in my eyes.
Dean "What? No. You're crying. my baby is crying. Why are you crying?"
I shrugged.
Dean "I'm... I'm gonna go get some, uh..."
Sam smiled "Pie."
Dena nodded "I'm gonna get some damn pie."

Sam and i sat down on a bench.
Dean walked to us with a large box in his hands.
He sat down next to me.
There were six slices of pie in the box.
Dean looked at Sam "What? What's wrong?"
Sam shook his head "Nothing. I'm fine."
Dean "No, come on. I know that face. That's, uh... That Sad Sam face."
Sam shook his head, offended "I'm not Sad Sam. I'm just... I'm thinking about Cass, you know? Jack. If they could be here."
I looked down, nodding.
Dean nodded "Yeah, no. I think about 'em, too. You know what? That pain's not gonna go away. Right? But if we don't keep living, then all that sacrifice is gonna be for nothing. So, quit being a friggin' Eeyore, huh? Come on."
Then he grabbed a slice of pie "Get into this!"
I nodded and grabbed a slice of pie "mhmm, you're right. Dean?"
Dean looked at me "yeah"
Me "Give me a kiss"
Dean smirked and leaned in.
I leaned in before pulling back and smashing the slice of pie in his face.
Sam started to laugh.
I laughed at Dean's face "I have wanted to do that for a very long time."
Dean used a fork to wipe the pie off his face and then he ate it.
Sam nodded "Oh, you're right. I do feel better."
Night. on the streets.
There was a case in town. Vampires.
We had tied up a vampire.
Dean pulled of the vampire's mask, revealing a bullet hole in his forehead, and slapped his cheek "Hey there, sleepy."
The vampire groaned in pain "What'd you hit me with?"
Me "Oh, it speaks. Not a mime. Still evil, though."
Sam "It was a bullet... Soaked in dead man's blood."
Dean "So, let's talk kids, hmm? Those two that you grabbed a couple nights ago... Where are they?"
the vampire laughed.
I giggled "Yeah, you really should tell him."
Vampire "And if I do, what? You let me go?"
Dean shook his head "Oh, no, no, no, no, no. No. This isn't a you-walk-out- of-here kind of a situation. But see, if you tell us quick, you get this."
He held up the blood-stained machete " But if you take your time, you get, uh... you get that."
I opened up a switchblade.
The Vampire nodded "Yeah, I'll... I'll take that itty-bitty one."
I smiled "That's a bad choice."
Dean held his machete up "You see, this... This is quick. It's clean. You know, no muss, no fuss. You blink, and you're dead."
I held my knife up "But a blade this small... I'm gonna have to keep sawing and sawing to get your head off, and you'll feel it. Every muscle, tendon, every inch. It could take hours."
Dean "Oh, and if those kids are dead, she's gonna use a spoon."
I smirked, wiggling my eyebrows.
Vampire "They... They're not dead. They're with the nest. We...take a harvest. Every few years, grab a couple kids, raise them up, feed them right, juice them. We don't do fast food."
Sam nodded "Yeah. Alright. Where are they?"
At a barn.
We got out of the Impala and walked towards the trunk.
Sam "This the place?"
Dean "Dark, creepy, something out of Wes Craven's erotic fantasy? Yeah. It's 100% the place. Alright."
He opened the trunk.
I took out a gun.
Dean pulled out a shuriken (Chinese throwing star).
I raised an eyebrow at him.
He pleaded "Come on, one time."
I shook my head.
Sam "no"
Dean "Why not?"
I shook my head "no"
Dean "But we could..."
He made a throwing motion with the star as I backed out of the way.
Sam "Dean"
Dean's face dropped and he threw the star back into the trunk and grabbed the machete "Go with the machete."

We walked inside.
We could hear noises approach a stall with a closed door.
Sam opened it and there were two boys in there.
Dean "Hey, boys. Okay. Come on. Stay behind us. We're gonna keep you safe. Come on."
We turned around but there were four skeleton-masked vampires blocking the door.
One of them was particularly large.
Sam turned to the kids " Go. Go. Go. Run!"

We were fighting the vampires.
We were losing. what a surprise.
I dodged a punch and beheaded one.
Suddenly i got grabbed and slammed to the ground.
I coughed out.
Dena got held down by two vampires. so was Sam.
A woman walked in.
Dean " Well, I know you. Jenny."
He chuckled " Son of a bitch."
The vampires let go of Dean .
Jenny "Hey, Dean."
Dean " Well, look at you. You know, we tried to kill each other back in the day. Yeah. This is so weird. It's like running into somebody in high school, you know? Somebody you don't want to see. Well, you look good. You do. I mean, a little dead, but, uh, good."
I reached out for my machete.
Jenny "Thanks."
Dean "So, what, are you, like, the, uh... The big boss or something?"
Jenny "No. I just called dibs."
She flashed her fangs at him but Sam beheaded her.
We started fighting again.

I beheaded the last vampire and looked around "Well, that was fun"
Sam nodded "Alright. Let's go find those kids, get them outta here."
Dean "Lena..Sam... I don't... Mm. I don't think I'm going anywhere."
I looked at him confused "What? What are you talking about?"
Dean "There's something in my...Something in my back.It feels like it's right through me."
Sam and i walked over to him.
I reached around Dean to touch his back.
Something covered my hand and i looked at it.
My jaw dropped "blood"
Dean groaned out.
Sam "Alright. Um... Hold on. Okay. Uh, I got you."
Dean shook his head "No, no, no, no, no. Don't... Don't... Don't move me. Don't move me. It feels like this thing's holding me together right now. Just give me... Just give me a minute"
Sam "Um... alright.I'll call for help. I'll get the first-aid kit."
Dean "Elena, Elena, Sam. Stay wi... Stay with me. Can you stay with me, please?"
My stomach dropped.
Sam nodded "Okay."
Dean coughed out " Uh... right. Alright. Listen to me. Um... You get those boys and you get them someplace safe, alright?"
Sam " Dean... We are gonna get them somewhere safe."
Dean shook his head "No. You knew it was always gonna end like this for me. It was supposed to end like this, right? I mean, look at us. Saving people, hunting things... It's what we do."
I shook my head in tears.
Sam "No, no. Stop, okay? Just... Just stop."
Dean gasped out " It's okay. It's okay. It's good. It's good. We had one hell of a ride, man."
Sam "I will find a way, okay? I-I will find another way."
Dean "No, man. No. No. No, no, no, no. No bringing me back, okay? You know... You know that always ends bad."
My voice cracked "Dean..."
Sam " P-Please."
Dean " I'm fading pretty... I'm fading pretty quick, so... there's a few things that I need you to hear. Come here. Let me look at you. Yeah, there he is. I'm so proud of you, Sam. You know that? I've always looked up to you."
Sam tried not to cry. I was already crying.
Dean "Man, when we were kids, you were so damn smar... smart. You never... You never took any of dad's crap. I never knew how you did that. And you're stronger than me. You always have been. Hey, did I ever tell you... Did I ever tell you that night that, uh... that I ca... That I came for you when you were at school? You know, when dad hadn't come back from his hunting trip?"
Sam nodded "Yeah, um.. Uh, the Woman in White."
Dean nodded "The Woman in White. That's right.I must have stood outside your dorm for hours... because I didn't... I didn't know what... What you would say."
Sam was crying.
Dean "I thought you'd tell me to... to get lost or get dead. And I don't know what I would've done... if I didn't have you. 'Cause I was so scared. I was scared, 'cause when it all came down to it, it was always you and me. It's always been you... and me."
Sam sobbed out " Then don't leave me. Don't leave me. I can't do this alone."
Dean nodded "Yes, you can.you have Elena"
I shook my head, in tears.
Sam "Well, I don't want to."
Dean nodded "Hey. I'm not leaving you. I'm gonna be with you..."
He was crying now.
Then he placed a hand over Sam's heart"Right here... every day. Every day you're out there and you're Li... And you're living and you're fighting, 'cause you... You always keep fighting. You hear me? I'll be there every step. I love you so much. My baby brother. Oh, man. Well, I did not think this would be the day. But it is. It is, and that's... Man... that's okay. I need you to... I need you to promise me. I need you to... To... to tell me... that it's okay. I need you to tell me that it's okay."
Sam shook his head, crying "No."
Dean looked at me and reached out for me.
I walked over to him in tears "Dean"
Dean rasped out "Elena, baby, i-i love you, i-i-"
I nodded, sobbing out "i know, Dean, i know."
He put his hand on my cheek to wipe the tears away.
Dean " Look at me. Look at me. I need... I need... I need you to tell me that it's okay. I need you to tell me... Tell me it's okay."
I shook my head , sobbing "i can't"
Sam "Dean... it's okay. You can go now."
Dean "Goodbye, Sam. Goodbye, Elena."
He closed his eyes.
The second his hand left my cheek i fell down to my knees, crying.
Sam was holding onto Dean crying.
I put a hand over my chest.
It felt like my heart was getting ripped out my chest.
I felt like dying.
Morning. outside.
I was watching Dean's funeral pyre burn.
Sam looked at me and put an arm around my shoulders.
I shook my head, crying.
Then i walked away.
At the bunker.
I walked into my room, in tears.
Then i walked over to the my drawer where the pictures of Dean and me were.
i sobbed out "no no no no"
Then i threw everything that was on the drawer to the ground.
I ripped the pictures off the wall and threw them across the room, crying.
Then i walked to the bed and threw the mattress off, screaming in pain.
I walked over to the desk leaned against it.
Dean's flannel was hanging over the chair.
I grabbed it and smelled it.
Then i broke down to my knees, crying while hugging the shirt, burying my face in it.
I can't do this without Dean.
I looked at the flannel in tears, voice breaking "J- Jack, i know you can hear me. I know you're there. I-I know y-ou know what happened. you-you know why i am praying to you. Bring him back, please. I don't care what it will cost but just please bring him back."
no reaction.
I sobbed out "Jack, you know. you know i need him. You know i can't do this without. You know. You knew since the morning after my birthday. you know that i can't do this without him - Jack, please, don't be this cruel. Don't let me suffer through that. I've lost enough already. I've lost everything. bring him back or take me with you. please, Jack!"
no respond.
I started hardcore crying, clutching my chest because i had trouble breathing.
