Control room.
Sam supported Jack as we rushed from the hallway to the map room.
I grabbed a chair and Jack satdown on it.
Cas kneeled down in front of him "Jack, deep breaths. Just try to focus. Try to slow this down if you can."
Dean "What do we do? What do we do?!"
I shook my head "I don't know."
Jack "You have to let me go. Just... Just get outside. I'll try to get as far away as I can."
Cas shook his head "No, Jack."
Jack "NO! Leave me. I can't stop this. I'm coming apart. I don't want to hurt you. Don't let me hurt you."
Dean "Hey, hey, hey, we're not giving up on you, okay? "
He looked at Sam " Uh... magic. Magic. One of Rowena's spells. Come on, we've got to do something!"
Billie showed up "I think you've done enough."
We turned to her.
Billie "We were so close."
Dean "Chuck saw it coming. All of it. Your whole plan."
Me "It was doomed."
Billie "Because of you. It was doomed because of' you."
Castiel "You led Jack through his trials. You know what's happening to him. You can stop this. Please."
Billie shook her head "I can't stop it."
She waved her hand and Jack's chair turned around towards her"But there is something I can do."
Then she lifted Jack's chin.
The light cracking the skin around his eyes was spreading down his cheeks. Suddenly, he vanished.
I looked around confused.
Dean "What'd you do? What did you do?!"
Me "Billie, where the hell is he?!"
Billie "The Empty."
Castiel "What?"
Bilie "Jack was a bomb designed to annihilate cosmic forces. Chuck and Amara are gone. The Empty was the only player on the board who could possibly absorb that impact."
Castiel "So it's done."
Billie nodded "It's done."
My voice cracked "Is he dead?"
Billie shrugged "Maybe."
Dean "You said this was a suicide mission."
Billie shook her head "No, I said taking out Chuck and Amara would be fatal."
Castiel " It's a chain reaction."
Billie nodded "Mm-hm. The Empty? It's different. Not as strong as Chuck or Amara, but... Vast. But if Jack survives, and if The Empty survives? It's gonna be pissed."
Sam "Okay, so The Empty is pissed. What does that mean?"
Billie "The Empty is strong. It's got beef with me, especially after what I just did."
Dean "Oh, well, poor you."
Billie shot him a look "Good thing it can't reach me here."
I nodded "Yeah, The Empty can't come to Earth. Not without being summoned."
Dean "Wait, what about Jack? If he's alive?"
Castiel "You have to bring him back."
Billie "Not until I get what I came for. "
Then she looked at me " Yeah, Elena. You took something that belongs to me. God's book."
I shook my head, scoffing "You were always gonna betray us. Once you defeated God, you were gonna take power. That means everyone who got a free pass, or a second chance, everyone who was resurrected or came from another world, you were gonna kill them all. Dean, Sam and me, too. That's the order you want restored. That's always been your endgame."
Billie nodded "Ya got me."
Castiel "You lied to everyone. Even The Empty. You promised it peace and quiet, but you never meant it."
Me "Even if I give you the book, what's to stop you from stabbing us in the back, killing us all?"
Billie shook her head "Nothing. But you don't have a choice. This isn't a negotiation. If he's alive, he won't last long. So if you want Jack, you'll give it to me now."

I walked back into the control room.
Billie set her scythe against the map table and held out her hand.
I dropped God's book on the table and walked past her to Dean.
Billie picked up the book and opened it, flipped to the end.
Castiel asked confused "What are you doing?"
Billie "Since you ruined the last one, God's book has a new ending."
Dean "Jack, now. ...Billie, I swear–"
Billie "Shh."
She smiled while reading it "Interesting."
Jack landed on the floor.
I walked to him but Billie blocked the way.
Castiel "Jack!"
Jack stood up.
Billie shook her head "Nuh-uh. The boy's mine."
Jack shook his head "No."
Billie to Jack "Sorry, kid. You're still useful."
Sam shook his head "No, you can't!"
Billie "I can and I will. Goodbye, boys."
Suddenly Dean grabbed Death's scythe. He swung it at Billie. She dodged but not quickly enough; the blade hit her in the left shoulder.
She dropped God's book.
Then she threw Dena across the room.
The scythe dropped.
Billie clutched at the injury to her shoulder and vanished.
Jack collapsed.
I ran to him "Jack? Jack!"
Jack was panting, in shock.
I picked up the book but i couldn't open it.
Castiel sighed.
Night .
I walked into the control room.
Dean was sitting there with a drink in his hand.
I nodded "Hey."
Dean nodded "Hey"
He offered me his drink as i sat down next to him.
I shook my head "nah, i am rather hungry than in the mood for a drink"
Dean chuckled.
Me"I couldn't sleep, either."
Dean nodded "Baby , I'm sorry. About everything that–"
I shook my head "Dean, you don't have to..."
Dean "I pulled a gun on you. I shot you. It's like I just couldn't stop. You know, we were so close to beating him. It's like I could smell Chuck's blood in the water and I... Nothing else mattered. It was everything. And I just couldn't snap out of it."
I nodded "Well, you did. You've snapped me out of worse."
Dean nodded "mhmm"
I nodded "You have."
Dean "Well, whatever Chuck did to Amara, he's probably more powerful than ever. Billie wants us dead. Jack's powerless. And Michael's not returning our prayers. So we have no heavy hitters on our side. We're basically at zero."
Me "We'll regroup, somehow."
Dean nodded, scoffing "right"
I sighed and looked around.
Dean asked amused "what?"
Me "do we have pie? i wanna eat some pie"
Dean looked at me, smiling.
I asked confused "what?"
Dean smiled at me "you're adorable"
At Charlie's apartment. morning.
Steve had disappeared.
Charlie "We met a few months ago. Bobby sent me to back her up on a djinn case. Thought Stevie might need my help. She didn't. I said I liked the way she handled herself. She accused me of flirting. I denied it. But then... I didn't know who else to call. I can't believe this happened. Why her and not me?"
Sam "That's what we're trying to figure out."
Me "Charlie, why don't you just tell us everything you saw."
Charlie shook her head "I saw nothing. I heard nothing. I felt nothing. No chills, no sulfur smell. One second, Stevie was making breakfast, and the next she just... "
She sobbed out " She just vanished."
Dean looked at me and i knew exactly what he was talking about.
Charlie "What?"
Dean took a deep breath "Charlie, we've made some big enemies lately. Uh..."
Me "Like Death. The Death. "
Sam nodded "She wants to send you back. Everyone from other worlds sent back to worlds that don't exist anymore."
Charlie "So she's killing us.
Dean "Well, we don't know for sure, but Stevie fits a pattern."
Charlie "A pattern? "
She stood up angrily "I said I wasn't gonna do this again. The love thing. And I do. And the second I let my guard down, Stevie is just... She's gone. So, what, is she just some collateral damage to you? Is that what I'll be, too?"
Dean looked down.
Sam's phone buzzed.
Charlie crossed her arms, frustrated.
Sam "Sorry. It's Bobby, uh... Sorry."
He walked away.
Dean looked at Charlie "Charlie, I'm sorry."
Charlie didn't say anything.
Sam hung up.
Me " What now?"
Sam "Bobby was on a hunt with another Apocalypse World refugee, Greg, and Greg just vanished."
Charlie "It's spreading."
Sam nodded "Yeah, I think so."
Dean shook his head "So no one's safe. Anybody that's ever crossed over from another world, anyone that's ever been resurrected: all on Billy's list."
Me "Sam"
Sam's eyes widened "Eileen"
Charlie nodded "go"
We rushed out.
Night. In the Impala.
Eileen was still texting Sam. which means she's still "here".
Suddenly she stopped texting.
Sam froze.
At Eileen's house.
Dean pulled over and we jumped out.
Sam found Eileen's phone on the sidewalk, next to her car keys and her purse.
He checked the phone.
a picture of Sam in the bunker was her lock screen.
I smiled a little.
Eileen's vanished too.
Sam closed his eyes for a second.
I hugged his side "Sammy"
Sam put an arm around me, shaking his head "No. I can't... Um... If I let myself go, then I'll lose my mind. I can't right now."
I sighed.
Sam "Alright. We have to get everyone to safety. Anyone who might be on Billie's list."
Castiel "Where might that be?"
Sam "We need a location, somewhere central to everyone. We need somewhere secure, contained. We get 'em in, and we put up every last bit of warding we've ever used."
Dean "Alright, you do that."
Sam asked confused "What? What are you going to do?"
Dean shook his head "I started this. I'm gonna end it."
Sam "Dean..."
Dean "Your plan? Getting everybody safe? That's good, okay, but it won't last forever. Now, we couldn't make Chuck pay, but Billie? She left her blade. Her I can kill."
Sam shook his head "I don't..."
Dean "We don't have a choice, Sam."
I nodded "I'm with you, Dean"
Cas nodded "so am i"
Dean nodded "alright"
Sam "Be careful."
Dean smiled and hugged Sam who had now tears in his eyes."Okay. Let's go, doll,. Cas Let's go reap a reaper."
At the bunker.
We rushed downstairs. .
Dean "Alright, man, we gotta move fast. You got the key to Billie's library?"
I nodded "Yeah, but we don't even know for sure that she'll be there."
Dean "Then we'll wreck her place. We'll burn her books... "
He grabbed the scythe "Whatever it takes to smoke her out."
We walked deeper into the bunker.
In Death's library.
We walked inside.
There was no sign of Billie.
The door closed behind us.
Dean gestured down the hall.
Castiel head that way while Dean and i move forward down the row.

We found Billie, her back was to us.
He walked quietly towards her.
Billie "So... I guess this is the part where I say, "Hello, Boys and girl."
She turned to us.
Then she looked around. Cass walked to us with an angel blade in his hand.
I took my own angel blade out.
Dean "Hello, boys. ...What's the plan? Take me down with my own weapon?"
I nodded "Something like that."
Billie looked at me " Well, he better work on his aim."
Dean "Thing is, that time? I wasn't trying to kill you."
Billie "Mm. What's changed?"
Dean "Oh, I don't know. Could be that you started killing all my friends."
She smiled "Interesting."
Then she threw Dean back.
Castiel rushed at Billie but she started to choke him.
I rushed to her but she threw me back.
Dean stood up and grabbed the scythe.
Castiel tried to free himself but he couldn't.
Billie "Castiel. Remember when you stabbed me in the back? 'Cause I do."
Dean arrived, jabbing the blunt end of the scythe into the wound in Billie's shoulder.
She yells in pain and dropped Castiel.
Dean stoke at her with the blade this time aiming for her neck, but Billie catched it with her right hand.
She grimaced in pain.
Her palm glowed where the blade cuts into it.
Dean "It's over. Call it off. Stop killing my people!"
Billie " I didn't hurt your friends."
Dean froze "What?"
Billie laughed " You're in the wrong place, Dean."
Dean asked confused "What're you talking about?"
Billie "If people are getting gone, I'm guessing it's Chuck. And that means you're just wasting time."
Dean looked unsure.
Billie "I'll let you in on something. When you cut me, that little nick? It was fatal. Something I can't survive. See for yourself."
She peeled back her trench coat.
The wound on her shoulder looked necrotic and sticky, the ugly green wound stretching across her shoulder and onto her chest beneath her shirt.
Billie "You killed me, Dean. So yeah, no. I don't care about your friends. I don't care about your family. But seeing you here has reminded me of something. There is one thing I'd like, one wish before I go... I'd like to see you dead!"
then she grabbed the staff of the scythe in her left hand and pulled it aside, backhanding Dean with her right fist.
Dean dropped the scythe as he fell back.
I caught him falling.
Billie "I'm so glad you came."
Me "Cas"
We rushed down the aisle and then we walked through the door into the bunker.
Dean slammed the door shut "come on"
We rushed into the control room.
Dean "Come on, Dean. Think. Think!"
Castiel "Dean, where are you going?!"
Dean yelled "I... I don't know!"
Me "You know she can find us anywhere."
Dean "I know, I know that! I just... What do we do, Ca–"
Suddenly he grabbed his chest and fell to his knees in pain.
Billie was behind him.
Dean cried out in pain.
Castiel "Billie"
Cass and i grabbed Dean.
Dean coughed out "My heart... I can feel her."
Me "Come on, Dean. We gotta go. Come on."
Cass and i pulled Dean through the bunker.
Billie called out "It's you, Dean. It's always been you. Death-defying. Rule-breaking. You are everything I lived to set right. To put down. To tame. You are human disorder incarnate."

we walked through the hallway.
Dean clutched his chest.
Cas "I've got you."
Billie called out "Come on, Dean. You can't escape me. Don't you think it's finally time? Time for the sweet release of death?"
We walked into the basement.
I closed the door behind us.
Dean was still coughing.
Castiel grabbed a pocket knife from Dean's back pants pocket and used it to cut his own palm.
Me "what are you doing?"
He used the blood to paint warding onto the door.
Dean inhaled, leaning back, relieved.
Cas "did it work?"
Dean nodded, swallowing hard.
Castiel "It blocked her grip on you."
Billie pounded her fist against the door.
It shuddered.
The warding crackled, but held.
Cas "Dean, she said that wound was killing her. Maybe we can wait her out."
Dean nodded "Yeah, and if we can't?"
Cass "Then we fight."
Me "Death? are you serious?"
Dean walked deeper into the room " I just led us into another trap, all because I couldn't hurt Chuck. Because I was angry and because I just needed something to kill, and because that's all I know how to do."
I shook my head "Dean."
Dean "It was Chuck all along. We shouldn't have left Sam and Jack. We should be there with them right now. Everybody's gonna die, Cas. Everybody. I can't stop it. She's gonna get through that door."
Castiel nodded "i know"
Dean "And she's gonna kill you, and then she's gonna Elena and then she'll kill me."
Dean "I'm sorry."
I nodded.
Castiel " Wait, there is... There's one thing she's afraid of. There's one thing strong enough to stop her. When Jack was dying, I made a deal to save him."
My jaw dropped "huh?"
Dean asked shocked "You what?"
Castiel "The price was my life. When I experienced a moment of true happiness, The Empty would be summoned, and it would take me forever."
Dean asked confused "Why are you telling me this now?"
Castiel said tearfully "I always wondered, ever since I took that burden, that curse, I wondered what it could be? What my true happiness could even look like. I never found an answer because the one thing I want... It's something I know I can't have. But I think I know... I think I know now. Happiness isn't in the having, it's in just being. It's in just saying it."
Dean asked confused "What are you talking about, man?"
Castiel "I know. I know how you see yourself, Dean. You see yourself the same way our enemies see you. You're destructive, and you're angry, and you're broken. You're "daddy's blunt instrument." And you think that hate and anger, that's... That's what drives you, that's who you are. It's not. And everyone who knows you see it. Everything you have ever done, the good and the bad, you have done for love. You raised your little brother for love. You fought for this whole world for love. That is who you are. You're the most caring man on Earth. You are the most selfless, loving human being I will ever know. "
He smiled, crying " You know, ever since we met, ever since I pulled you out of Hell... Knowing you has changed me. Because you cared, I cared. I cared about you. I cared about Sam, i cared about Elena, I cared about Jack... I cared about the whole world because of you. "
A tear rolled down his cheek " You changed me, Dean."
Tears rolled down my cheek.
Dean asked hurt "Why does this sound like a goodbye?"
Cas smiled through tears "Because it is."
Dean inhaled sharply.
Castiel smiled, sobbing "I love you. "
Dean shook his head "Don't do this, Cas."
I wiped my tears away, shaking my head. Cas.
There's a wet noise from behind us.
We turned around.
Black goo from The Empty was squeezing through the bricks in the bunker's wall as a portal began to open.
I sighed.
Dean turned to Cass in tears.
Billie kicked in the door.
Dean "Cas "
Castiel put his hand, on Dean's shoulder, sobbing "Goodbye, Dean."
Dean asked confused "What?"
Castiel shoved Dean to the side.
He looked at us smiling before inhaling as the black liquid tendrils of The Empty wrapped around him.
The Empty crashes against Billie, pulling her in along with them.
It went silent as the portal closed.
Cass was gone. He's dead.
Dean looked at me in tears.
He fell to his knees, sobbing while he buried his face in his hands.
