A few days later. At the bunker.
I walked into the kitchen and saw Sam and Eileen preparing a massive breakfast.
Me "morning"
Eileen smiled " Hey."
Sam smiled "Look who's alive."
I nodded "yeah, but only the outside"
Sam "You hungry? We have, uh, eggs, pancakes, bacon."
Me "That real bacon? 'Cause, you know, you..."
Then i eyed them "Are you two hungover?"
Eileen" We might've gotten just a little carried away with the margaritas last night."
I chuckled "Ho-ho! I knew I liked you."
Eileen nodded "Sit. Eat."
I smiled a little and sat down at the counter "thanks. you seen Dean?"
Suddenly Sam looked at something behind me.
I heard someone walk past the kitchen.
Dean called out "don't worry. i am only here to grab some new clothes. I'm already on my way out"
I sighed.
Eileen gave me a sad smile.
Sam sighed "i'm gonna talk to him"
The he walked out.
Eileen "you need a drink?"
Me "it's 9 in the morning. Of course i need a drink"
She smiled and handed me a beer.
I nodded "thanks"

Dean was out again, great.
Cass walked into the bunker.
Me "well, hello there, missing angel"
Cass nodded "hello, Elena"
Sam and Eileen walked in.
Sammy asked shocked "Cas? Wh... What in the world, man? Where have you been? I-I've been calling you and texting..."
Cas nodded "I know. I was... Well, it doesn't matter. I'm here now. I'm ready to help."
Eileen smiled "Hi."
Sam "Yeah, uh, Cas, this is Eileen Leahy. Eileen, this is Cas."
Cas looked at her confused " I thought you were..."
Eileen "Dead? Yeah, I got better."
Sam "Uh, one-time thing."
Cas " Well, where's Dean?"
Sam "He went for a drive. He needed to clear his head. So we've been looking for signs of Chuck and Lilith."
Cass asked confused "Lilith?"
Sam "Yeah, uh, she's back."
Cass " Have you found them?"
Eileen "Not yet."
Cass " It's because you're looking in the wrong places."
Sam asked confused "What do you mean? Have you heard something on angel radio, or...
Cass" No, no. It's been silent for months. But your wound... it's still not healed?"
Sam " No."
Castiel "Good. I've been thinking about that gun, the, uh... the Equalizer? When you shot God, it fired a piece of your soul."
Sam nodded "Okay."
Cass "So there may be some of you inside Chuck."
I grimaced "ew"
Sam just looked engrossed.
At the infirmary.
Sam sat down on the bed "Cas, are you sure about this?"
Cas "No, but I am sure I can't heal the wound. Maybe I can probe it."
Sam "Probe it?"
Cass " Study it, see if it can lead us to Chuck."
Eileen " Is that dangerous?"
I nodded "of course it is"
Sam nodded and opened his shirt "All right. Let's do it."
Eileen "Sam..."
Sam gave her a soft smile " I'll be fine. I'm ready."
Cass "This is gonna sting."
He held out a glowing hand and probed the wound on Sam's shoulder.
They both struggled to endure it.
Cass "Sam, are you okay?"
Sam nodded, grimacing in pain "Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just, uh.."
A bright light flashed, and sent Sam flying back against the wall as Cas stepped back.
Sam falls back to the bed, unconscious.
We rushed to Sam "Sam!"

Castiel opened the bunker door and Sergei walked in.
Sergei "Castiel."
Cas " Sergei."
Sergei looked around " the home of the fabled Men of Letters. So the stories are true. This place... what wonderful things you must have."
Castiel nodded " Okay, that's enough. You're here for a reason."
Sergei " Aren't we all?"
We walked into the infirmary.
Eileen "Help him. Please."
Sergei nodded " 'Course, my dear."
He opened a satchel filled with bottles and magical trinkets, and pulled out a large crystal.
Then he waved it over Sam's shoulder, and the crystal started to glow brightly.
Sergei "Hmm."
Castiel "What?"
Sergei "Small thing."
Castiel "What is it?"
Sergei "Sam is... dying."
My jaw dropped.

Me "What do you mean he's dying?"
Sergei "I imagine you were trying to ascertain the exact nature of the wound before this, yes?"
Eileen nodded "Yes."
Sergei "Ah, well, there you go. Most wounds want to be healed, to be whole. But this, this wound is different. It goes down to his very soul. But also out into the world. From what I can tell, his soul, it's connected to something or someone somewhere. Except, as you probed deeper, you forced the soul to stretch from Sam's body to..."
Eileen "Where?"
Sergei " I don't know. But now it's like a rubber band. If it is stretched too far, too long, pop, it snaps, and Sam dies."
Eileen" Can you fix it?"
Sergei nodded "Of course I can."

Sergei tabbed at Sam's wound with a small bit of wood"There. Done."
Castiel " And nothing's happening."
Sergei " Wait for it."
Sam started to have some kind of attack.
I asked worried "Sam? Sam. Sam?"
Sam didn't respond.
Castiel "What are you doing?"
Sergei " I made it worse."
Castiel " You said he could die."
Sergei "Will die. And soon."
Eileen shook her head "No."
she desperately tried to wipe off whatever Sergei applied to Sam's wound.
Sergei " That won't help. It's already done. Unless."
Castiel "What?"
Sergei "You give me what I want."
I grabbed Sergei and pushed him against the wall " Fix him, or I kill you."
Sergei " You kill me, he dies. Or you give me the Key to Death, and he lives."
Eileen " What?"
Sergei " You really have no idea about the treasures this place holds, do you? The Men of Letters, some time ago, procured a very important item... a black key, handle in the shape of a skeleton. It can open a door to Death's library. You will find it and give it to me, and..."
Castiel shook his head " No."
Sergei "Castiel, please. You can't win this."
Castiel nodded " Yes, I can."
Then he held up his phone. There was a photo of a young woman on it.
Sergei froze " Anna."
Castiel " A friend, Bobby, he's been watching her. And one word from me, and, well, you know what happens. Fix Sam. Now.."

Sergei held his hands over Sam "Alnoth, por Cantin Pre Tally Noth."
Sam sat up.
Me "Sammy?"
Eileen ""
Sam nodded "i think"
Castiel " What about your wound?"
Sam checked his wound.
Sergei " It's still there, but he's back. So we good?"
Castiel " For now."
Sergei "Mm. I like this you, Castiel. It's very... Russian."
I rolled my eyes.
He left the bunker.

Cas and i were sitting in the control room.
Me "Lilith told Dean about my ...about me being Queen of Hell"
Cass nodded "is that why Dean isn't here?"
Me "He's been avoiding me for the past couple days. "
Cass "but you did what you had to do to survive. He can't be mad because of that"
Me "He's mad that i didn't tell him. He's mad that i enjoyed what i did"
Cass nodded.
Me "you don't look surprised"
Cass "Well, you are half demon, Elena, of course something inside of you would enjoy sitting on the throne of Hell. "
I nodded, amused "how is it that everybody else gets it except Dean?"
Cass "you know how he is"
I nodded "mhm"
Suddenly Dean walked inside "Hey"
Cass "Dean."
Dean "I got your message. Sam, is he, uh..."
Castiel " He's fine."
Dean breathed out relieved " Good. That's good."
Castiel nodded " Yeah."
Then he walked away.
Dean nodded "good"
Then he followed him.
At the infirmary.
Sam " I feel like, uh... I feel like I was in his head."
Dean asked perplexed "You were in Chuck's head?"
Sam nodded " I think so. A-And I-I think I-I saw his memories. Dean, Chuck is weak. I think we can beat him. I think we can beat God"
I raised an eyebrow.
In the control room.
I walked into the control room and sat Dean sitting there with a beer in his hand.
then i asked confused "can't sleep?"
He just took a sip of his beer.
I scoffed, shaking my head "alright"
Then i turned around to leave.
Dean "I hate going to bed while we are fighting"
I shook my head "me too. but we aren't fighting. you are having issues accepting the truth. "
Dean stood up and walked to me.
I just looked at him.
Dean "i am sorry for going up on you like that. i guess, with everything going on i - i just - i-"
Me "you took your emotions out on me. everything that built up inside of you..you just let it out on me"
Dean shook his head "i shouldn't have done that. You didn't deserve that"
Me "i should have told you the truth, okay?"
Dean"then why didn't you?"
I shrugged "because i was scared. You were right, okay? i did enjoy it. And i am not regretting a thing"
Dean nodded "okay. "
I looked at him confused.
Dean nodded "i am okay with that. All that matters to me is that you are back. that i got you back. And the last thing i want is to spend the time we have with each other with being mad at you "
I nodded.
Dean hugged me "i love you, doll"
I smiled and kissed him "and i love you, handsome"
