Can we talk, please? -Seth

I put my phone aside and sigh. It's been a few hours since Jax has left my room but I haven't been able to stop thinking about what he's done. His approach was almost comically accurate to how male college students are portrayed. Horny, overly confident – cocky really and too good-looking for their own good.

I realize that he's doing this to get underneath Seth's skin. He seems like the kind of guy to get to someone by jeopardizing their relationship but I am not going to let this happen. I have been dealing with assholes all of my life. Not quite like this but even Seth started out very much like Jax and I dealt with him pretty well.

Grinning at the thought, I take my phone and text back.

Sure. When?

I'm down by the soccer field. You wanna come meet me there?

As I've had enough time to thoroughly study the campus map, I know that the soccer fields are only a few minutes away. Some fresh air will do me good... and I also really do miss Seth already. After having left like I did, I feel extremely guilty and am in serious need to talk. I've spent all summer away from him and I'm ready to leave that in the past.

Be there in a few.

Earlier I had changed into a pair of cut off shorts and a simple loose-fitting white top. Slipping my feet into a pair of flip flops and putting my hair into a bun, I leave the comfort of my room. As I shut the door behind me, I spot a girl, sitting in the hallway, staring down at her phone. She looks up at me and smiles brightly.

"The wifi is best in the hallway." She explains, holding up her phone.

"Will keep that in mind. Thanks." I say politely.

The girl gets up and holds out her hand to me. Her dark skin is glowing and her beautiful brown eyes glimmer even in this horrible hallway light. She's simply gorgeous.

"I'm Amber. Your new neighbour!" I take her hand and introduce myself. "If you ever need anything, feel free to come talk to me, ok?"

"Thank you, that's very kind."

"No problem! Us girls need to stick together, right?"

"Right!"

When Amber goes back to checking her phone, I hurry down the hallway towards the already opened elevator.

The walk to the soccer field feels as good as expected. Especially after having made a proper friend already. Not one that sexually harasses you after only knowing you for thirty minutes! I really need to get Jax off my mind and Seth on it. I'm getting closer to the field and can hear shouting already.

Seth forgot to tell me that he isn't alone.

The whole team is currently training.

As the sun has set already, floodlights are lighting up the huge field. I find a bench to sit on, that's hidden away a few feet away from the field but I've still got a good view of what's happening.

I spot Seth as he is in control of the ball, kicking it farther and farther ahead of him as he runs towards the goal in full speed. I can't help but smile. He is exuding confidence as he dribbles around opposing players and swiftly passes the ball to the players on his own team. They have clearly just split their team into two groups to stage a game as some of the guys aren't wearing shirts whilst the others are in their jerseys.

They're all shouting at each other and just watching them is exhausting.

The sharp sound of a whistle being blown cuts through the air and everyone stops running at once. I recognize Jax. Luckily he still has his shirt on as he calls the team together. They all huddle up and I can hear them shouting and hollering before they split up and head towards the showers.

I get up off the bench and walk closer to the field, hoping that Seth will spot me first.

And he does. His face changes from exhausted to relieved and then excited, making my heart jump. He comes running towards me, his shirt sticking to his chest, perfectly contouring his muscular torso.

My bloody gorgeous boyfriend.

"Hey there!" Seth basically throws himself at me, hugging me tight. "I'm sorry. I love you and I don't want to fight, alright?"

"I'm sorry, too. I was tired and miserable and had to get it off my chest."

"No!" He pulls away just a little bit so he can look me in the eyes. "You're right! I was an asshole. Some old habits just die really, really hard. I'm sorry."

"I know you are, babe. Let's just forget about it." I smile up at him and stand up on my toes. Seth smirks before placing his lips on mine.

"Ew, sweaty!" I laugh, pulling away and slapping a hand to his sweaty chest.

"Oh I'll give you sweaty!" He wraps his arms around me with lightning speed and rubs his sweaty pits all over me.

"Stop it!" I squeal, laughing hysterically.

Seth grabs onto my face laughing as well and placing tiny little kisses all over my nose, cheeks, forehead and finally lips, making my heart flutter in delight. I really do love him... even if he's a sweaty pig.

"You know, I might be sweaty but at least I'm not a big old tease." He lifts an eyebrow at me, his eyes wandering down to my exposed legs. My cheeks blush bright red. "Look who's embarrassed!"

"Stop laughing at me!" I slap his chest again but this time he grabs my hand and presses his lips to my palm. With one swift move, he has me against his chest again. He leans closer to my ear, his hot breath against my skin sending shivers down my spine.

"I would never." One of his hands runs down my back. "I love making you blush."

I blush again but he can't see as his face is still nuzzled into the nape of my neck, both of his hands resting just above my butt.

My body freezes when I notice Jax walking towards us.

Why, oh why, does this guy always have to ruin everything!? And why is he everywhere?!

I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice cold water over my head when his lips pull into a devilish smirk. My hand twitches and I want to slap it off his face!

"What's wrong?" Seth asks, pulling away, clearly having noticed the shift in my body language.

He turns and sees what I'm looking at.

"Three times in one day! You'll have to take me out to dinner!" Jax's booming voice echoes as he shouts at me from a few feet away.

I don't give him the pleasure of a reply. Just stare at him blankly.

Seth stands next to me and lays an arm around my shoulder in a protective manner.

"Have a good night captain", Seth says, sarcasm dripping from every word.

"Oh, trust me, I will. You two as well." Jax comes closer to us and puts a hand on Seth's shoulder. "Better get it in once more before you call it quits, brother."

Anger visibly rises up in Seth. He lets his arm drop from my shoulder, turning his body and full attention to Jax. I hold my breath, all blood drained from my face.

"What the hell did you just say?!"

"Just let it go..." I try to pull Seth back but he shrugs my hand away.

"What the hell did you say?!" Seth shouts.

"Whoa! Calm down, brother!" Jax laughs, holding his hands up in mock surrender. "What'cha going to do? Hit me?"

Seth is fuming but keeps quiet.

"That's what I thought. Wouldn't want to risk that scholarship."

"Just shut the hell up." Seth's voice is threatening and I know him enough to realize that he probably would have hit Jax if it wasn't for his scholarship.

Shaking his head and laughing, Jax turns around and walks off into the darkness.

Seth slumps down and puts his face in his hands. I walk around him and put my hands on his upper arms, trying to give some comfort. His body is extremely tense and he is clearly very upset.

"Don't let him get to you." I whisper but he ignores me. "Jax is an idiot really. His stupid rule is probably bullshit. He can't forbid you to have a girlfriend."

"Let's just go." Seth steps around me and starts walking. My heart drops, pain stinging in my chest.

At first I'm a bit dumbfounded but quickly jog after him to catch up with his long strides.

"Are you mad at me?!"

"No."

His face says otherwise. He's shutting me out.

"Seth, talk to me."

He stops walking, his face looks pained.

"You saw him again today. You're calling him Jax?" He isn't angry any more. He's hurt. I haven't realized until now how he tired he looks.

Shit. I think to myself. I hadn't noticed my slip-up earlier and didn't think that Seth would even realize that Jax... Jackson had mentioned seeing me for the third time today.

"Nothing happened. Nothing!"

"Holy shit, Arya! You know who says that?! Guilty people! I knew he was looking at you funny! Holy shit... Shit!" He curses and stumbles away from me. I try to get closer to him, explain, but my throat is closing up and I am speechless.

"Don't touch me." His voice is almost threatening as I reach out to him but freeze instead.

"Seth..."

"Don't."

"Please don't do this. Please let me explain..." I'm begging now.

He just shakes his head and I can see tears welling up in his eyes. Is he... crying?

Before I can say anything else, he is gone and I am left alone.
