"Baby, I don't feel so good", six words you never understood

"Hey Wonwooo" Mingyu whined as he leaned on the older's shoulder while sitting in their bed. Wonwoo on his computer while he typed on things.

"What?" His voice was in monotone as Mingyu gazed up at him with round eyes, waiting for him to look but he didn't look back at him.

"Baby I don't feel so good," Mingyu said to try to grab Wonwoo's attention as the other just didn't respond, typing on his keyboard before saying "Just take an advil or somethin'"

The younger just let a out a sigh as he watched Wonwoo do his papers and while the time ran by for hours of them two watching the dimly lit computer screen.

"I'll never let you go," five words you'll never say (Aww)

Mingyu was in the driver's seat as they were going to have a mini date before Wonwoo's huge business trip.

"We're here!" Mingyu chimed as Wonwoo had a look of a smolder. The younger laughed and teased him "Where's the camera Won?" He looked around like there was a camera as the other didn't find it funny. Not even a remnant of a smile on his face as the younger just bit his lip and nodded quietly.

He was slipping out of the car as he rushed to open Wonwoo's car door as well, bowing and holding out a hand for his lover.

"Thanks Gyu" Wonwoo spoke as he got up on his own, ignoring Mingyu's hand lingering near him as his mind seemed like it was roaming off.

Once the food got to their table, Mingyu started to feast. picking up the cutlery and using it on his skillet he'd ordered. With the friend potato pieces being cooked and warmed to the perfect temperature, so it wouldn't burn his tongue as much, but still be good.

Maybe that was Wonwoo for him, a potato piece on a hot skillet. He liked the burn, the feeling of heat on his tongue that stung but didn't hurt as much as it should have.

"Eat some Won~" Wonwoo was handed a piece of the potato as Mingyu was hand feeding him it on the fork. Wonwoo just stared a little as the potato started to cool down, the air of the diner feeling too stiff for early mornings.

"Okay" Wonwoo responded as he wrapped his mouth on the potato and took it to his mouth. Chewing as the fried potato skin was crispy and season well. Maybe he wasn't feeling okay, Mingyu reasoned that as to why the older wasn't as cheerful today.

Maybe he didn't want to leave Mingyu here for three weeks. Mingyu came up with an idea as he held Wonwoo's ice cold hands in his own with a goofy grin.

"I'll never let you go" Mingyu observed Wonwoo's reaction as the other seemed so, off. Like he was a stiff as a board and emotionless as an empty table with nobody sitting at it.  He squeezed Wonwoo's freezing hands gently as he rubbed the back of Wonwoo's hands with his thumbs.

"Yeah okay" He recieved a response, it could've been quicker to send it in through the mail. Mingyu just hummed as he went back to eating his skillet that was slowly but surely cooling down.

I laugh along like nothing's wrong, four days has never felt so long

It's been four days, since Mingyu had dropped Wonwoo off at the airport and he left for business in Singapore. He wanted to call the older so bad, but he didn't want to seem so clingy or needy.

Once it hit the four day marked, he'd decided. Mingyu dialed Wonwoo as he sifted through the contact list to find 'my lovely won' as he pressed the contact. Pressing the phone button as the phone rung. All of a sudden, the time started to count.

Wonwoo was here, on the other side of this phone. Calling him, Mingyu felt a smile creep on his face as he pressed the camera button. The other accepted it once again, they were now on FaceTime.

Mingyu could see the outlines of Wonwoo's face through the dim hotel light, outlining the parts he loved to press kissed to. His cheek, his nose, his temple, and his face in general.

"What Gyu? It's three in the morning." Wonwoo croaked, and oh. Mingyu forgot, even though it was late night over here, he forgot about the time zones.

Mingyu bit the side of his lip as he mumbled an apology, "Sorry Won, you can go back to sleep." As much as he enjoyed Wonwoo's morning voice when he just woke up and it would be deeper than usual, he would enjoy it if Wonwoo would be able to do his job properly.

"It's fine Gyu, actually I have something to tell you" Wonwoo spoke, the tone of his voice deepening as Mingyu found that very attractive.

"What?" What could it be? Maybe a present or souvenir for him from Singapore? Mingyu imagined as the next words, were unimaginable.

"Let's break up"

Mingyu let out a laugh. No way he's serious right? Maybe he is, maybe it's April fool's
day. Mingyu swiped down his screen to check the day, it's not. It's the middle of August, where the leaves were crisp and disconnecting from branches.

He then realized, Wonwoo was serious.

"What?" Mingyu had to see if he was hesring correctly. There's absolutely no way! Right? They've gone this far, they were highschool sweethearts for god's sakes.

Mingyu had fallen into like with Wonwoo when the older would do his homework at the lunch table with Soonyoung and Minghao. When Wonwoo would scrunch his nose and squint his eyes when he laughed. When Wonwoo confessed to liking him too, that day, with blush on his cheeks and a look of shyness. That Mingyu hasn't seen in a long while.

"Yeah, let's break up"

"You're not serious right? There's no way you're actually serious." Mingyu cracked a smile, because how ridiculous was this? Wonwoo breakimg up with him over the phone while on a business trip.

While they share a house together, with their dog and cat. That he loved so much, how their puppy with jump beside to reach Wonwoo as Mingyu sat on the couch to get their kitten to sit on his lap.

"Sorry Gyu." Wonwoo's voice was cut off as Mingyu looked at his phone screen in confusion, his eyebrows frowned together ss he saw Wonwoo's contact information.

Wonwoo hung up on him.

Funny. How funny was this? Mingyu laughed as he clicked the lock button on his phone. Now seeing a black screen and seeing his reflection. Crying with a grin on his face.

If three's a crowd and two was us, one slipped away (Hahahahahahahaha)

Mingyu reminisces days later as he walks into their shared bedroom that Mingyu hadn't had the balls to clear Wonwoo's things out of the room.

"Oh c'mon Wonwoo! Tell me who your crush is!" Mingyu piped up as they were in passing period for their fourth class their shared. The younger nudged Wonwoo's shoulder as the other just shook his head with a shy smile.

Part of Mingyu didn't want to know. He liked Wonwoo too much to want to know how the other was crushing on.

As they headed to their class, Wonwoo took a seat in the back, Mingyu sitting along with him as Seokmin had his bag slumg over his shoulder. Hopping in the seat in front of Wonwoo with his body turned to the other two.

"My crush is—" Wonwoo was interrupted as Seokmin made a gasping noise.

"You like somebody?!" He exclaimed as Wonwoo hid his face, Mingyu frowning at the obvious interruption by his dear friend. But secretly, he was happy that he didn't know. Maybe this was a sign, it's his chance.

"Hey Seokmin, maybe don't interrupt our Wonwoo over here?" Mingyu defended Wonwoo as the other was dealing with teasings from Seokmin.

Mingyu let out a sigh as he opened his drawers, seeing his own oversized shirt he had, which Wonwoo wore all the time because he liked wearing oversized things because he said it was 'comfortable and free'.

Maybe I should go, Mingyu thought as he heaved his luggage, shoving his clothes in his luggage. Leaving the oversized shirt on their bed as he packed some shorts and dress pants. Seeing if anything else needed clearing, Mingyu examined the room they've shared for years.

Funny, how all of his years he could be packed into a suitcase. Like he was travel sized and could leave anywhere. Like he didn't have a home.

Mingyu saw their cat, Castel, perched up on the kitchen counter. Their puppy, Prince, was circling 'round his legs and Mingyu just winced looking at them. The memories flowing through his brain, playing like a movie in his head as he texted someone.

'Hey can I stay at your place for a week or something?'

'Yeah sure Mingyu, however long you need, me and Seok are here for you'

Mingyu was glad of his friends, he texted Minghao to drive over as the other agreed.

Not long after, Minghao and Seokmin were at his house, helping him put luggages and pet items in their car. Mingyu had explained to them what happened as Minghao cursed Wonwoo out multiple times.

"You're taking Prince and Castel right? No way they're staying here alone" Seokmin questioned as Prince kept yapping and panting in pure happiness. Oblivious to what was happening, maybe that was Mingyu.

"You should take the food too, you cook for him, if you leave, he has to fend for himself for being an ass." Minghao suggested as he pointed his finger to the kitchen full of food.

"Fine." Mingyu sighed, he felt empty, like nothing really mattered. He grabbed each food item and put it in a plastic bag. Once they were all settled it was great.

Seokmin was in the back seat playing with Prince as Mingyu sat in the passenger's seat with Castel on his lap. Purring and snoring in his sleep as Minghao was driving. He would take glanced to check Mingyu.

I just wanna make you feel okay

Mingyu kept going through memories, as Wonwoo slowly disappeared from his consciousness.

"I just wanna make you feel okay, is making eggs good?" Mingyu offered as the older had just failed his test on Calculus. The other just nodded as he had his head down at the table. Mingyu just watched in pity as he placed the sizzling butter on the non-stick pan, swirling it around.

He soon cracked eggs on the pan as he let them cook on the bottom side, flipping them as he scrambled the eggs, separating them apart as he shook the pan. Causing the pieces to fly onto the plate, Mingyu topped it off with ketchup in zigzags.

"Thank you Mingyu" Wonwoo displayed a small smile as Mingyu felt a happiness spark in him when the other grinned.

But all you do is look the other way

It was now, Mingyu was staying at his friends' house for the mean time. He scrolled through his instagram feed while Prince was napping beside him on the couch and Castel was watching Minghao paint with beady eyes.

What he did not expect, was for Wonwoo to post, well not that, but for Wonwoo's post to come up on his feed. Right, he's a popular business man, Mingyu forgot. He just remembered Wonwoo as his.

The photo was of scrambled eggs with zigzags of ketchup. Wonwoo's comfort dish when he would go through rough patches. Mingyu noted as he found himself sniffling with wet streaks down his face.

I can't tell you how much I wish I didn't wanna stay

Was there something that would've changed what happened? Mingyu could've probably done something different, then he would've been hanging out with Wonwoo and their fur babies right now.

Maybe he should've fought more, fought for Wonwoo. Maybe that would've made Wonwoo more ticked off. Maybe he should've cut the ties off sooner.

So Wonwoo wouldn't have broken up with him over FaceTime. Maybe he shouldn't even made the call.

He felt slightly better, if he stayed, Mingyu knew that he would regret it. Now that they're broken up, Mingyu had recognized the signs. Of Wonwoo's disinterest in him. At home, in their own bed, at the diner, any time Mingyu tried to grab his attention.

I just kinda wish you were gay *straight*

Mingyu wished that Wonwoo didn't like guys. Not that it was bad of course, so that could be the explanation. That he didn't like Mingyu anymore because he realized that he was striaght.

Maybe Mingyu's wishes would obviously not work, because his wish was over. His dream was over.

Maybe it would hurt less, if Wonwoo told him he was straight. So Mingyu would understand 'oh he's into girls not guys.'

Is there a reason we're not through?

Mingyu just kept overthinking, even whem they were together. He was so, so, loyal. How he would see Wonwoo in the shimmering light as this god he should worship. As this person who deserved all his love.

Was there a reason for Wonwoo to keep stringing him on like a dog on a leash? Mingyu would have no idea. Maybe he just was to o busy liking the idea of being with Wonwoo than to notice that Wonwoo's feelings weren't reciprocated anymore.

Is there a 12 step just for you?

Oh Wonwoo. He missed Wonwoo. He couldn't deny it any longer. Just the more Mingyu thought of him, the more Wonwoo stayed (in his mind, not with him).

He was reminded of the smell of Wonwoo, his scent of usual smoking. The bitter smell of smoke lingered on him once Wonwoo would come back inside their house for cuddles.

"Maybe you should go somewhere to get over your addiction, I swear it'll help. I'll be there with you" Mingyu remembered bringing up the conversation of getting over smoking for Wonwoo.

"No, I'll do it when I want, Gyu. I don't need your help." Wonwoo's tone felt so harsh to Mingyu, he remembered almost flinching at how sharp the words that came out of the other's mouth were.

How ironic, was that Mingyu felt like he was addicted to Wonwoo's presence. That he would give anything just to smell his scent of smoke again. Maybe there was a 12 step for Wonwoo.

Our conversation's all in blue, 11 "heys" (Hey, hey, hey, hey)

Mingyu just let his legs spread out on Seokmin and Minghao's couch. He felt guilty for having to stay at their place and ruin their time together.

He pressed the messager app on his voice and just pressed Wonwoo's contact icon. Yeah, he's not stupid enough to try to text him. That's what he thinks now. But past Mingyu was stupid.

He just examined the texts he sent Wonwoo after the FaceTime call. Mingyu felt so pathetic. His chat bubbles filled the whole screen with "hey" and "wonwoooo". Maybe he was too clingy. That's why Wonwoo left him.

Ten fingers tearin' out my hair

He started a habit. Mingyu's fingers would sometimes twirl his on hair or pull it. Gently, then it would start to be a little more intense. But it didn't hurt for him.

Mingyu chewed on his bottom lip while stalking Wonwoo's instagram page. How was the older completely fine?

Wonwoo's recent photos were of him smiling and posing with co-workers. Taking pictures of the food he would eat in Singapore.

Mingyu just twisted and twirled the hair in his face until he was interrupted by a concerned Seokmin or Minghao.

"Hey Mingyu! You okay?" Seokmin took a spot next to the younger. Castel moving over to Seokmin's thighs and spinning around four times before finding a comfortable spot in Seokmin's lap.

"Not really." Mingyu's eyes were puffy and a pink shade edging on red.

Nine times you never made it there

Mingyu was just reminiscing of how Wonwoo would come home late from his work. Mingyu had started to become suspicious of Wonwoo's work hours when he came home late for the ninth time.

Maybe it would be okay, because Wonwoo would wrap his arms around him and mumble sweet words into his ears. Maybe it was just the traffic. Nothing to be worried about.

"Mmmh Gyu-ah I missed you" Wonwoo would drag out the younger's name with his deep tone as Mingyu would get slight tingles from his voice and the way his fingers would roam.

Maybe when Wonwoo would come home reeking with bitter beer and wine over his skin. That would be a red flag.

I ate alone at 7, you were six minutes away (Yay)

Mingyu was cuddled up on the couch, Castel, Prince, Seokmin, and Minghao was snuggled up to him. He popped open an ice cream tub and scooped some ice cream out of the tub.

He ate the rest of the ice cream on his spoon as he miserably took in the ice cream. Mingyu took out his phone as he checked his Instagram feed. Seeing Wonwoo's page pop up on his feed. Mingyu just huffed as Minghao saw over his shoulder. "Hey, you are not going over to the diner just because Wonwoo is back."

"I wasn't thinking about it, I swear" Mingyu jutted out his lips as his best friend looked towards him. "I know you're not over Wonwoo." Minghao's eyebrows scrunched as he held Mingyu's face. "Seokie, c'mere."

Seokmin gazed at his lover and then at Mingyu. "Yeah?" Minghao pecked Seokmin's cheeks as he looked back at Mingyu. "Baby, does this look like the face of someone whose over his lover?"

"Nope!" Seokmin shook his head as Mingyu whined. "C'mon guys! He's just six minutes away! I can handle not being with him."

How am I supposed to make you feel okay

Minghao couldn't help but pity Mingyu. His best friend since grade school, who was now sleeping on Seokmin's shoulder. Poor Mingyu, what happened? Wonwoo did. Of course, Minghao would say something if it wasn't the wrong time to.

But he told Mingyu so, he told Mingyu to be careful and that Wonwoo just gave him strange vibes. He told Seokmin too, the older not listening to him and helping Mingyu.

Maybe if Mingyu was with them, he wouldn't have been hurt. What? What was he even saying anymore. How was him and Seokmin supposed to heal Mingyu? Mingyu seemed to be deeply hurt by Wonwoo.

Fuck Wonwoo.

When all you do is walk the other way?

Seokmin could feel it. The way Minghao would worriedly look at Mingyu and he couldn't help but envy the younger.

"Hey Gyugyu?" Seokmin, one day took up the space next to Mingyu while his long-term boyfriend was working out a deal with the curators for his art museum.

"Yeah Min? Oh wait, that's funny" Mingyu suddenly had a smile inflate his face, making Seokmin feel guilty about all these thoughts he's been having in his head.

"What's so funny Gyugyu?" Seokmin fixed the hair in Mingyu's face behind his ear. Mingyu's eyes lit up while staring at Seokmin. What was making him so happy?

"It's just a dumb thing..." Mingyu's eyes faded back into his regular eyes, his dark purple bags starting to fade. It was terrible in the beginning, Mingyu's eye bags seemed like they were dragging down his eyes.

"No no I bet it's not. Tell me Mingyu" The corners of Seokmin's lips edged up slightly, it felt unnatural. Like he wasn't in control of his own face. It felt forced. But it wasn't.

"Oh, just that we all have Min in our name! Mingyu, Minghao, and Seokmin!" Mingyu emphasized in the 'Min' in each of their names. "Like it was destiny!" Mingyu's hands were expressing themselves, stretching out to his arms as he exaggerated his motions. Cute.

To spare my pride

Mingyu felt full. Full of content and happiness. With Seokmin and Minghao. Of course he's obviously interrupting their time together. That was the worst part.

He felt like it was suffocating them. Like he was suffocating them with problems he could fix himself. But it felt like it hurt so much alone, it was better to share pain, right?

His pride was obviously lowered. It had been weeks, since Wonwoo's stupid last FaceTime with him. But everything else had been normal. Castel and Prince was still with them. Like Wonwoo hadn't cared about them too.

But something has felt different lately, Mingyu ran his finger's through Castel's rough, short fur. He purred as Mingyu scratched behind his cat's ears.

"Hey Mingyuu, wanna go out with me and Seok?" Minghao was suddenly home, keys were placed in the bowl of keychains. His arms slung over the couch Mingyu was sitting on. Busy petting Castel as Minghao's eyes focused on Mingyu.

"Yeah, but aren't I imposing on you and Min?" Mingyu asked, he felt extreme guilt. Seokmin deserves Minghao, and vice versa. They deserve each other, their own sweet embrace, and their own time together. "No! Of course you aren't!" Minghao's eyebrows furrowed as he ran off to grab Seokmin.

"He isn't imposing right?" Minghaoturned his head to face Seokmin, the older shaking his head and pecking Minghao's lips with a smile. "'Course not!" Mingyu couldn't help but envy them, they are so kind and he wished he was with them.

Mingyu deserves to be alone, right?

To give your lack of interest, an explanation

They were at a fancy rooftop diner, the lights were on the sides of the building and the gazebo was covered in twinkling fairy lights. Mingyu felt like he doesn't deserve this. This should be a date for Seokmin and Minghao. With himself excluded.

Maybe he should take a look at his phone, Mingyu slipped his phone out of his slacks' pocket. Taking a glimpse at Instagram while looking at the Instagram stories at the top of the app's page.

LIVE! wonwoojeon is LIVE!

Mingyu had felt oh so tempted to press his little icon. See what he's been doing. Is it bad to hope that he had been suffering just as much as Mingyu has? Maybe. But did he feel bad about it? A little.

"Mingyu!" Seokmin's firm and stable tone snapped him out of it as his thumb pressed down on the phone's screen as he shot his head up at the two in front of him.

"As I was saying, do you wanna come with me and Hao to the ice skating rink?" Seokmin's kind expression was as warm as the fireplace next to the rooftop.

"User min9yukim has joined the chat... Nice to see you again Mingyu." Wonwoo's deep voice seeped theough the phone. Mingyu felt like a deer caught in headlights. This can't be happening right now. Wonwoo called him Gyu... Not Mingyu.

Reality hit him hard, Mingyu felt frozen. Like time had just stopped. This really is reality, Wonwoo broke up with him and is doing completely fine... This wasn't a nightmare.

"Gyugyu... what did you do?" Seokmin's hands grabbed Mingyu's phone and left the livestream before shutting Mingyu's phone off and putting it in his own pocket.

"Mingyu, for now, you will only hang out with us. Nobody else, some Three Min Musketeers time!" Seokmin declared with a grin as he pecked Mingyu's cheek before looking at Minghao. Who had a smug smile on as Seokmin bit back another grin.

What just, happened? Mingyu's mind felt fried when Seokmin kissed his cheek.

Don't say I'm not your type

"You guys gonna tell me what you're doing?" Mingyu uttered a question with a stable voice as he shook his shoes off at the front door and walked through the foyer.

"What?" Seokmin had his arm around Minghao as he drunkenly giggled and clung onto his boyfriend. Envy. Mingyu felt it, a strange twinge in his stomach. Who he wanted to be? Mingyu wanted to be the both of them. At least he'd be in love if he were either of them.

He hated being Mingyu. Mingyu who gets betrayed and broken up with so he has to mooch off of his best friends for shelter and necessities. Mingyu who hasn't been able to focus on his work since the breakup happened so they fired him for inactivity. Mingyu who is basically freeloading off of his friends because he is a coward to move on for that Wonwoo might turn around and ask him to be his again.

A coward, that's who Mingyu was. Mingyu hated himself.

"What I mean, is why did you kiss my cheek Seokmin? And Minghao, why are you okay with him doing that?" Mingyu hissed out with words injected with poison. He doesn't know why he's feeling this way. So... rude.

"Oh, Mingyuu, I'm okay with him because he's with me, I trust him! Also because of ..." Minghao was muttering the last sentence as Mingyu's ears failed to pick up what the younger was putting down.

"Because what?!"

"Our crush on you.." Minghao giggled slightly, a little tipsy as he covered his mouth with a look of surprise as his elf-shaped ears were tainted with a shade of poppy red. "Bye bye Gyuuu" Minghao stumbled with Seokmin on his arm (and basically his entire body) as they stomped their way upstairs.

Mingyu was surprised that they didn't slip down the stairs... But wait, their crush on him? No way.

———

"Hey wake up Gyugyu, let's go grab some espressos at the nearby café." Seokmin shook his sleeping carcass awake as Mingyu stirred. "You don't even like espressos Seok!" Minghao was heard from upstairs, his voice becoming clearer as he entered the guest room (Mingyu's room).

"Right, they're too bitter for me. I just like a lot of milk in my coffee." Seokmin gave out another goofy smile as Minghao stepped closer to his boyfriend to lift his chin up and press a kiss to his lips. Love, ugh. Mingyu was in the middle of the lovebirds.

He barely got any sleep before Seokmin came in on his bed and started jumping and shaking him. Maybe a wink of sleep at most, but what's been occupying his mind was from the night before. They had to be joking, right? They were both reasonably drunk, it has to be a joke.

Mingyu just won't bring it up anymore.

———

They were at the café now, Minghao with his espresso in a warm mug, Mingyu with the same order, and Seokmin with his Java Chip Frappuccino in hand. They were all sat at the stools by the window. Just chatting it up.

So far, so good. They haven't said a peep about last night; they really hadn't mentioned last night at all. Were they that drunk?

"So Gyu, about what I said the night before, what do you think?" Minghao licked his lips before edging the cup onto his lips as he took in the espresso to his tastebuds.

Seokmin was just innocently sipping at his Starbucks beverage, chewing the chocolate chips from time to time as his eyes bounced off the two of them. "What thing about yesterday?" Seokmin's eyes were as innocent as a puppy.

"Of course you don't remember Seokie, you were black out drunk, but I told him." Minghao winked as the oldest of the three gasped. "You did?" He stammered over his words as his eyes just glued onto Mingyu.

"Yeah, so what do you think about being with us?" Minghao gestured between himself and Seokmin. Mingyu's head started to ache, "Oh no, you guys, I'm not really into poly..." Mingyu shook his hands out.

"Oh okay." Minghao shrugged and Seokmin nodded. Oh wow, they took it surprisingly well.

Maybe he shouldn't have said that. The little feeling in his stomach was still stuck there like a stubborn rose thorn on skin.

Just say that I'm not your preferred sexual orientation

Mingyu is bisexual, he's admitted it right after he got out of high school. Wonwoo was his first love and other girls seemed just so beautiful. But Wonwoo was for himself.

Or that's what he thought. Now he's lounging in his best friends' home for the thousandth day as the awkward atmosphere has started to crack a little. Ever since the café thing, it's been tense.

Mingyu thought they took it well. Maybe it was just him. He just wants it to be done with. So things can be normal again, he wants his two buddies with him.

"Ooh taking a glimpse at her?" Seokmin nudged Mingyu's arm a bit harshly while they were watching TV. There was an idol group on or something. Mingyu found them coop and fascinating, but when Wonwoo was with him, the older didn't even bat an eye on 'kiddie things' like that (Wonwoo's words).

"Oh no... I'm just..." Mingyu's words trailed off as he was just focused on watching the idols dance and sing as they seemed so happy. Their brightest smiles on as their outfits seemed to be styled by the fashion gods or something.

"Are you sure?~" Seokmin had this teasing tone in his voice, they'd been doing this since the café. Mingyu didn't want to seem rude, but it was getting repetitive. Seokmin jabbing fun at him when he's watching the performances. Of course he knows the older isn't doing it with harmful intent, he's just tired.

"Stop! Stop it okay? I'm just tired, tired of you two trying to match me up with people every time I even glance at them!" Mingyu shouted, what possessed him? He has no clue. All of a sudden, he's standing and then storming to his own room and slamming the door closed.

"Oh Seokmin," He heard Minghao's echoey voice through his wooden door as he crashed onto his bed. Just eavesdropping in on their conversation. To see what damage happened, that Mingyu caused.

He heard, Seokmin sniffling? Oh god, his stomach was twisting and turning, churning even. Guilt struck him like a thunderbolt. But no way he can apologize right? He can't fix this. They're the ones who let him stay here; take away their own time and forced themselves to have a crush on him for oh so pitiful Mingyu to feel better. Right?

I'm so selfish

"I'm gonna have a talk with him" Minghao gritted his teeth as he wiped away his boyfriend's fat tear with the pad of his thumb. "Oh Haohao! He probably didn't mean it! I mean, I've been pestering him ever since the café..." Seokmin had his top lip tucked into his bottom lip, eyes were ready to let out more tears from his tear ducts.

"No, you've done nothing wrong Seokmin. Nothing at all, if Mingyu has a problem, he needs to be a big boy and talk about it. Not take it out on you." Minghao grumbled as he rearranged stray hairs from Seokmin's forehead and stomped towards their guest room.

Mingyu heard the door slam open, seeing a fuming Minghao behind it. He was terrified, he really fucked up, didn't he?

"Don't talk to Seokmin like that. He's been your best friend since the beginning of high school! We have been your best friends since high school, but what gives you the right to think that you can scream and through a fit and we won't do anything?" Minghao gritted through his teeth, his index finger pointing at Mingyu as the older sat up straighter in his bed.

"I'm waiting? What's your answer?" Minghao had his arms crossed, moving closer to the bed as Seokmin followed behind quietly, sniffling.

"I can't!" Mingyu shouted back, the youngest being taken aback. "Why can't you? You have a mouth. It's there for a reason." Minghao spat out with his eyes as sharp as a thorn.

"Because I'll be taking too much!"

"Too much what?" Seokmin perked into the conversation as he rubbed Minghao's arm.

"Too much from you guys, I like you guys, just that I don't want to bite more than I can chew." Mingyu muttered as he twiddled with his fingers over the covers. Minghao's eyebrows were on his forehead at this point as his eyes were popped out of his head.

"You like us? S-So why did you yell at Seokmin and start distancing yourself?" Minghao placed himself on the covers near Mingyu's feet. Seokmin sitting near Mingyu's face as he just examined the younger.

"Because I'll just be seflish! Imagine that, I got broken up with by Wonwoo, then I get with both of my best friends? I'll just be called selfish." Mingyu chewed on his bottom lip as Seokmin tucked a hair behind Mingyu's ear before saying "Nobody's gonna think of you like that."

"If they do, who cares? They hate happiness then." Minghao added as he crawled up to Mingyu while wrapping his arms around Mingyu.

"I do."

"Then," Seokmin flashed a grin before pulling out a pillow and smacking Mingyu in the face "we'll have to make you be happy. Do you hate happiness too? Oh no." Seokmin put a hand on his own forehead and pretended to pass out.

Minghao just giggled at his boyfriend as he looked up at Mingyu, "Now, do you want to be our boyfriend?" Minghao had his hand out before Mingyu got his arm out of the blanket's warmth and intertwined Minghao's hand "Yeah."

"Yeah? That makes you sound uncertain, say 'Oh yeah!'" Seokmin had the biggest smile on as he watched his boyfriends.

"Oh yeah!" Mingyu reiterated as Seokmin cackled and started a pillow war.

But you make me feel helpless, yeah

Mingyu was all cuddled up in bed by his new boyfriends on each side. It was strange, they were all in Mingyu's (the guest room) room and the bed was tiny. He felt warmth radiating from his heart, not just from being physically warm, he just felt wanted again.

"Hey" Mingyu mumbled to see if one of them are awake. "Hi" Mimghao croaked as he squeezed his eyes before adjusting to see Mingyu's face highlighted in the darkness of the room.

"You want to sleep in your own room? I'll help you get Min up there too" Mingyu offered as
Minghao let out a (very attractive sounding) chuckle.

"My own room? You're sleeping in our bed for now on. You are apart of us." Minghao pressed Mingyu's chest down with his finger as the older felt warmth from even that dumb gesture.

"Fine." Mingyu hid his smile (thanks to the dimly lit room) as he sat up and Minghao shuffled off the bed to Seokmin's side. "Hoist Seokie up on the count of three, one, two,
three!" Minghao whispered as he had Seokmin's legs and Mingyu had his upper body.

———

"Finally" Mingyu let out a huff as they placed the still asleep Seokmin on their bed. Climbing in themselves as Minghao tucked himself in bed. "Hey Hao?"

"Yeah?"

"When did you guys start liking me?"

"When you were around more, how gentle you usually are, and your lovely puppy and kitten of course!" Minghao smiled as Mingyu's expressions were still serious. "Fine, because I realized you were just you, nothing too perfect and just so, yourself. I don't know about Seokie here, but I bet you can ask him when he liked you."

"Oh-oh, okay" Mingyu had a slight burn dusted on his cheeks as Minghao's vocie floated in the air "Are you, blushing? That's adorable Gyu!" The youngest squished Mingyu's cheeks over the sleeping Seokmin.

Mingyu felt helpless. His feelings for the two of them were too strong. Like they had tugged on his heartstrings and now they're here to stay. Mingyu saw how in peace Seokmin looked, pressing a gentle peck onto the oldest's cheek and then reaching over to kiss Minghao's nose.

"Goodnight." Mingyu murmured as he drifted off to sleep with Seokmin cuddling with his arm.

"Night, you pup." Minghao stated as he let out a silent yawn.

And I can't stand another day

"Gyugyu! Wake up!" This is his how he spends his days, with Seokmin jumping the bed until he wakes up. A distant "Let him sleep Seokie, he's probably exhausted by us now" Minghao spoke as Mingyu woke up, it was the best sleep he's gotten in a while.

Once he blinked himself awake, Seokmin gave him a kiss on the cheek. Mingyu smilng with his lips until he caught other staring at his lips and holding his face in his hands. "Can I?" Seokmin's hush voice was barely heard by him as he nodded; he was ambushed by the older's lips, his lips smushing against his as he kept the rhythm.

"Hey pup, there's a New Years party—" Minghao paused his question once he saw what was happening, "You two, c'mere!" Minghao speedwalked to them in his (very fancy) attire and sat next to them on the bed. Mingyu pulled away from Seokmin with surprised eyes. "I'm sor—"

"Don't apologize pup, there's nothing to say sorry about." Minghao's right hand held Mingyu's cheek as his thumb stroked the older's cheekbone. Minghao's eyes just looked so fond, his eyes were dripping in honey as Mingyu leaned closer. Seokmin leaning on the youngest's shoulder while biting his lip at Mingyu with a stupid grin.

Minghao stopped them with getting any farther by holding his hand over Mingyu's mouth, "Morning breath. Go brush your teeth, stinky." Minghao snickered as Mingyu let out a sigh, the other two giggled at each other and he got up. Going to brush his teeth, "I never finished my question, do you want to go to the New Years Party?"

"Mm, okay" Mingyu hummed as he continued his journey to the bathroom in the next room. "Are you sure?" Seokmin chimed in, "I mean, you-know-who is going to be there."

"Yeah it's fine, it's not like I can avoid him forever. Why not just get over it now?" Minghao and Seokmin looked at each other and nodded with a thumbs up. "Wow Gyugyu, didn't expect you to be so, over him" Seokmin placed his head on Mingyu's broad shoulder.

"Well, I just want to be done with him, if he's clearly not for me anymore, so be it." Mingyu mumbled while brushing his teeth. "Wow, deep." Minghao's voice vibrated from his throat as he gulped his own spit.

"Ready to get ready?" Seokmin's eyes focused on Mingyu's facial features. His beautiful nose structure and his willing eyes.

"Not really, but I'll try for you two" Mingyu turned to his new boyfriends. Toothpaste dripping at the ends of his mouth, "Go finish brushing your teeth pup, it's yucky." Minghao patted his shoulder as Mingyu smiled.

———

"We're really... here." Mingyu let out an exhale as the trio was in front of the house. Where all their friends were, they met up every once and a while, and it is once in a while now. Wonwoo's in there somewhere.

"Let's go in Gyugyu" Seokmin messed with Mingyu's hair as he pulled Minghao close to his chest and started to walk into the house. "Hellooo! The party is here now!" Seokmin shouted with his wide grin plastered all over his face.

"Woooo!" Seungkwan and Soonyoung were going to hype him up as Minghao giggled, watching Seokmin. He turned to see Mingyu in the corner alone, the youngest frowned. The older seemed so uncomfortable here, he should go over there.

"Hey Mingyu." A rough voice shocked Mingyu from him zoning out. It's Wonwoo, he looked better than ever, Mingyu's heart tried to piece itself together as he saw Wonwoo's dark red hair slicked back.

"Hi—" Mingyu tried to get a word in before someone had an arm around his waist as snatched him away. "Who— Minghao?" Minghao bit his lip as smirked, whispering in Mingyu's ear "Darling we're supposed to help you get over him." Minghao gestured to Seokmin before the oldest noticed and ran over.

"Yeah, sweetie, you wanna get closer to the party?" Seokmin held both of Mingyu's large hands as he pulled him along. Wonwoo was left alone, confused and reaching a hand out before he let his own hand fall.

Stand another day

"Oh this was amazing!" Mingyu's eyes were sparkling with hope as he held Seokmin's hands gently, his hands were soft while the older's hands were soft. "Thanks so much guys." Mingyu had the brightest smile as Minghao wrapped his arms around Mingyu and Seokmin.

"This day will be the best last day of the year!" Minghao hooted as Seokmin cheered. Mingyu felt so warm. Wonwoo was attractive, sure. But the looks on his boyfriends were unbeatable, Seokmin's strands of hair falling in front of his face seemed so unreal. Minghao's little elf ears peeked out of his jet black hair.

"Oh oh it's almost time!" Seokmin reminded the both of them as Mingyu scrunched his eyebrows, "How would we kiss?"

"At the same time? Duh!" Seokmin laughed as he pressed a kiss to Mingyu's cheek. "Who'll be my last kiss of the year?" Seokmin whispered as Minghao smirked.

"Me." Minghao pulled Seokmin by the waist and moved their lips together, biting Seokmin's lips as Mingyu observed. They seemed so in tune, in touch with each other. It was mesmerizing.

I just wanna make you feel okay

"Hurry!" Seokmin ushered the three of them together as Mingyu giggled, "Our last kisses are each other, except me."

"Well, because you are our first kiss of the new year" Minghao mumbled as people started to count down.

"What?" Mingyu perked his head as Seokmin shouted the countdown.

"One! Two! Three!"

"Happy New Year!!"

Mingyu shut his eyes as both sides of his cheeks were kissed.

But all you do is look the other way, hmm

Wonwoo stared as he saw his now ex get kissed by his friends. Are those Mingyu's friends? He never takes note, so he never knows. Plus, they're exes now, why does it matter?

He saw a spark in Mingyu's eyes with he called the younger, maybe he has a chance.
