this is a lesbian gyuhao royals! au

Minghao was excited to say the least, her husband is invited to a party. Not just any party. The party whose host is Mingyu's husband. That means that she'll get to see Mingyu again.

She would never dare to admit that she missed the taller, clumsy one. For that she would be slain or killed. Sadly.

"Minghao, darling, will you be a dear and attend the party? I'll let you be free" Minghao turned her head to glance at her husbad. She tried to muster up her best smile as she nodded.

"Thank you darling" He hummed as Minghao rolled her eyes immediately once he turned away, leaving her to their bedroom alone. The corset she was wearing seemed to be cinched a bit too tight. She could barely even grasp air for her lungs.

She knew her husband, Junhui, for a long time, not like he was rude. Only for the time he agreed to the arrangement of their marriage by their parents. Minghao and Junhui used to be childhood friends, she's just glad that he hadn't forced anything on her yet.

Her fingers quickly threaded through the intricate ribbons she'd certainly be yelled at for ruining; her ring finger finding the knot as she grabbed a dagger and sliced through the thin ribbon. Finally, Minghao took a long inhale as she shimmied out of the corset.

She found a maid's gown to wear in substitute for her puffed skirts and corsets. Minghao was jealous of the maids, they'd have comfortable outfits which didn't squeeze their body in every which way. She run her hands through her hair until her fingers met with the headpiece attached to her hair.

Minghao had almost forgotten about that, she had forgotten how heavy it was on her head until she removed it. Placing it on the nightstand as she grabbed for the dagger once again. It was the night before the party, maybe she'd have once last chance to run away to meet Mingyu.

———

Her first meeting with Mingyu went a little like, extravagant party thrown by Junhui in honor of Minghao's parents being able to arrive in Seoul. Then bumping into the taller while Minghao had just taken off the huge supporting beams that held her skirt.

"Woah." A slightly deeper voice spoke as Minghao let out a sigh before jolting.

"Oh sir I am so—" Minghao took one look at the voice's owner as her eyes were as wide as globes. "I am so so sorry! Gosh, I mustn't be impolite to guests." She bowed as the women standing in front of her, must she say, a goddess, smiled.

Minghao's breath stalled as she just examined the sun kissed lady. Her locks of hair was to her bosom, a light brown shade, reflecting off of the window that shown mere light of the moon. The lady had kind eyes with a beauty mark right underneath the ball of her nose. She was ethereal, Minghao noted mentally.

"You mustn't apologize! It was a mere mistake, don't be hard on yourself Lady Wen" The women's teeth were once more revealed, curving up into a smile-like shape as her canines shimmered in the dim lighting of the bathroom. Minghao couldn't help but stare, she knew it was rude to.

"What must be your name, goddess?" Minghao stood in the layout of her support beamed skirt, making an attempt to step out as she ignored how the other was walking closer towards her. "Let me help—"

Was the last words before Minghao knew she was tipped over and she was for sure out of the circumference of her support beamed skirt. But now she was on the soft body of the goddess. Minghao froze up, her hand was on the wooden boards of the floor as she just looked up at the other.

"Ow," The lady spoke again, Minghao winced along with her as she made a good decision to get off of her. Sweeping off excess dust that might've gotten onto her undergarments and her bra. "Need help?" Minghao let out a hand to the beauty, watching as the other nodded.

Minghao helped up the beauteous lady with a work of strength. "Thank you very much Lady Wen" The woman in front of her bowed as Minghao shook her hand, reaching for the other's hand as she rubbed the back of the other's hand.

"Call me Minghao, no need for the formality." She said as the taller had doe eyes encased in her sockets as she nodded, her lips jutted out. The painted red makeup was obvious, Minghao was glad that this beautiful lady's melanin wasn't covered by the hideous white powder called makeup.

"If you're Minghao, I'm Mingyu. Similar, right?" The lady—Mingyu let out a small noise of laughter as Minghao's heart felt like it grew wings.

Minghao tapped her hand softly, gaining the taller's attention once again as she brought Mingyu up to one of the maids' quarters. It was stuffy and cold, but it was distant enough from the party and quiet enough so that they could be alone, Minghao figured.

She let go of Mingyu's hand as she immediately stood in front of the window with no glass, wind brushing against her cheek like an invisible hand. "What's a elegant lady like you doing here?" Mingyu questioned as she observed the maids' room. It was jam-packed and only had a bed as the furnishing.

"Alone, being alone at best." Minghao let out a chuckle, it was funny. She'd thought being married to someone like Junhui would have a little bit more excitement than marrying a stranger. But right now, Minghao wouldn't have been afraid to marry this stranger right now if it was legal.

"That doesn't sound very, married life" Mingyu's voice only came closer until her breath brushed against her earlobe. "It doesn't, right?" Minghao didn't mind the other's presence being so close, she'd just leaned closer to the outside of the world. Watching as tiny people from the ground floor gathered to be inside to be apart of the 'main event' as the party at the Wen's.

"You know what doesn't sound lonely?" Minghao felt the warmth of a hand brush against her hand as she turned her head. "What—"

She'd been interrupted, the most impolite thing you could do to a wife of a host of the royal gathering. Minghao should maybe feel insulted, but she felt like melted candle wax, dripping off of a candle.

Maybe Mingyu had been the flame to her candle. Minghao fully turned her body towards the other's as she wrapped her arms around Mingyu's neck, than lowering them down the long expanse of her back.

Their lips had intertwined, she could taste the perfume of the taller's on her tongue. Bitter, really, but she didn't mind. No she didn't, not at all. Not when Mingyu's tongue is prodding against her bottom lip and she let her in. Not when she is kissing a lady surely made from the gods in her mere bra and undergarments.

She only minded when she heard a "Minghao? Where are you dear?" certainly the voice's owner belonging to her husband. Minghao pulled away as she untangled her hands from Mingyu's back and pulled her lips away from the other's.

Minghao couldn't help but be lost in those eyes. Those big and round eyes that had resembled one of the dogs she'd see on the streets. Those eyes that looked like they have a flame, flittering, waiting to melt something, like Minghao was it's victim.

"Minghao?" Her husband's voice had only gotten closer as Mingyu gave a doped grin and a push to Minghao's shoulder. "Go, he's looking for you" Mingyu settled on whispering since they're only inches apart. Her voice had a lisp attached to it. Minghao couldn't help but melt at the way this complete stranger had her attention.

Minghao snapped out of it as she shook her head, slapping her own cheeks to ground herself as she looked for spare maid's clothes around to wear so she'd wouldn't arrive to her husband in undergarments. So it wouldn't seem suspicious what she had been doing.

Minghao grabbed a gown to wear as she ran out. Dismissing herself from the goddess she'd left behind to met her husband. "This wasn't what you wore when you're on my arm" Was the only thing Junhui said when he ushered her back to put on something more extravagant, expensive.

She'd never seen Mingyu again that night. She'd searched for the brunette once she finished having a conversation with her parents about how 'they made the right choice' and how 'Junhui loves her so dearly'.

———

Minghao had only discovered that she'd see the Mingyu from many nights ago at the party when she saw the servants jostling 'round and about with an invitation. And Minghao might've snuck a glance or three at the formal paper.

Her and Junhui (mainly her husband) had been invited to the Yoon's mansion for a dinner party. Minghao knew how regular dinner parties went, she would sneak off after an hour or two; the men obviously too drunk out of their mind to even care as she roamed the mansion.

Minghao might've also found out Mingyu had been married to Mister Yoon Jeonghan by researching from a very kind librarian, Jeon Wonwoo.

She held the dagger in her hand, deciding if she should slice her hair or not. Minghao examined the dagger's decorative print as it glinted in the mere moonlight.

Minghao placed the dagger back on the nightstand as she laid in their bed. Wow, a maid's gown was more loose than the tight dresses and corsets. Minghao was relieved, and at least her, cleavage wasn't forced to show.

May she take a rest and wake up to the wondrous day of the party, that she'd hope to see the lady whose gripped her heart and hadn't let go. Certainly she hadn't forgotten about Minghao, has she?

Minghao planted doubts in her mind. Worries trickled in as she shut her eyes. Sleep.

———

Minghao blinked a few times to the morning sun yawning in her face. She returned the yawn as she noticed her husband's side of the bed empty once again. Minghao had an idea where he went, since he'd been frequenting the library awfully a lot.

She'd stumbled out of the silk sheets to be ushered by the maids to be ready for the dinner party. Minghao saw no point in dressing up in the afternoon for a party in the evening. She just let them do their jobs. After, Minghao made it to the garden. The beautiful garden of flowers, the selection of pinks and red and oranges. Like a sunset, Minghao thought, like a warmth in her heart ignited by Mingyu.

Minghao stalled around the mansion until she reached the library. Curious to see if Junhui was 'coincidentally' there or not. She'd run another hand through her hair as she peeked her head through the door.

She found Wonwoo alone, his hair was tussled and his clothes looked messed with. Suspicious, maybe she had been too late to catch them.

"Looking for something?" A voice shocked her as she spun around, finding her husband, with tussled hair and a red bottom lip, to the point it's bleeding a bit.

"No! Just looking for someone." Minghao made an excuse she knew Junhui would call bullshit on and walked away.

———

It's time, the moon was out, shining through the dark clouds as Minghao was getting dolled up for the dinner party once again.

It was nothing more than reapplying her red lipstick with the red pigment and redoing her hair. She had one last chance to be in her bedroom. Minghao grabbbed the dagger, who would care? She reasoned with herself as she cut through her locks of jet black, think hair as she placed the dagger back and left the chunks of cut hair on the floor.

Minghao made it to the carriage just in time to sit next to Junhui. He looked like he was about to question her hair until, "Yoon's Mansion" the person driving the carriage announced and Minghao scooted closer to the edge once Junhui gotten off the steps.

He held out hands for Minghao to take as she hopped off of the carriage, wearing her stilted skirt once again. She didn't quite wrap the concept of the huge circular skirts, but at least she had brought her fan.

All women in the mansion knew to communicate with fans, for the mere fact that mem don't bother to know women.

Minghao had gotten into the mansion with Junhui's arm hooked with her own. She didn't mind. Even if he'd broken her trust as childhood friends, he still respects her and she appreciates that.

Minghao's eyes desperately searched for the image of the goddess in the bathroom many nights ago. Where was she? Minghao's doubts flooded back.

What if she forgot me? What if she died? Whay if her name wasn't really Mingyu and it was a mere dream?

The pair reached the dining area as Junhui seated the both of them next to each other. "How was the day, Mister Yoon?" Junhui offered small talk as the party host accepted. Minghao's eyes just scanned the whole ballroom area. The men's words turning into blobs of speech she didn't care to comprehend as she only tuned in after one sentence.

"Mingyu is up in the bedroom longer than usual, she'd been especially excited for this night. I wonder why?" Mister Yoon spoke and Minghao's eyes spotted their bedroom. Large wooden doors with elegant etchings onto them. Some of flowers, eyes, everything pleasing to the sight.

Minghao zoned out for how long, until she realized Mingyu was walking down the long flight of stairs in a dress, that suited her long body proportions. God, she looked even more perfect than that one night.

The dinner had started, the huge banquet buffet of food was laid on the elongated table, the shining silverware reflected the light of the chandelier.

It was elegant, to say the least. Minghao watched Mingyu eat, she might be slightly concerned by the way the scarfs down the food like soup. She eats slightly while she occasionally takes glances at Mingyu. Did she forget her?

Maybe it might be rash, but Mingyu being in this room makes her feel warmer and happier than she ever has been. Minghao bit her lip before drinking a bit of the red wine. Letting the red bitter wine down her throat as she closed her eyes. She might be a lightweight,
who knows?

Minghao laid her head on Junhui's shoulder. She had a small inkling in trust that Junhui wouldn't do anything bad. She rested for a moment until a slam of the table was heard. She snapped open her eyes to meet Mingyu's, sharp, darker eyes. She felt like she had offended the lady.

Minghao leaned her head off of Junhui's broad shoulder and sat up straight again. Her skirt had been bothering her a bit as she got out her fan. She realized Mingyu had brought her own fan as well. The fan had designs of swans and lily pads. So beautiful.

Minghao thought of an idea, what if she asked something? She held her fan closed with her right hand. Holding the fan close to her chest and pointing it outwards.

Do you love me?

Of course, the other knew it was irrational to find love in one day in a night of many days ago. Minghao just wanted to feel something. The marriage wasn't as satisfying as she thought, but she's glad she didn't end up marrying an old man who doesn't respect her.

She just was interested in Mingyu, not Junhui, never men at all.

Minghao held her fan with a slight tremor as she anxiously waited for the answer while sitting between a drunken Junhui and another drunk man.

Mingyu's eyes had widened. Like a doe, like that night many days ago. Those familiar, innocent-like eyes with a flame hidden deep within her gaze. Minghao bit her lip in excitement as Mingyu held up her closed fan.

The etheral lady opened her fan, crossing her left arm to the right with the open fan. Swaying the fan back and forth, looking to the left with a hint of a smile.

Yes.

Minghao translated that right as she squealed a little. Stopping to be cautious to look between the men beside her to see if they noticed as they were too drunk. Mumbling about some due date and how they were supposed to ride their horses in the ocean. Nonsense.

She slowly rose up from her seat, as quietly as she could. Minghao snuck behind the huge dinner chairs as her eyes followed Mingyu's figure. The figure who was going to her bedroom. Minghao was following her quietly as she could with her large high heels that had a grip on her ankles.

The atmosphere was mystifying by once Minghao creaked open the large door and closed it. She was pinned to the door, but from the inside of the room.

"Welcome, Minghao." Mingyu had a puppy-like expression on, being juxtapositional to their positions. How Mingyu was pressed as close Minghao as she could, her breath fanning over Minghao's face. Mingyu's skirt she wore had been long gone, her slim legs on display.

"You remember?" Minghao blinked once or twice as she slowly raised an arm to throw over Mingyu's right shoulder, then doing the same with her other arm.

"Do I remember? Of course I do!" Mingyu shook her head zealously. Her teeth on a perfect display of shiny whites. Her aura seemed so, inviting.

With her arms swung around the taller neck, Minghao attempted to move closer to touch the other's plush lips once again.

Mingyu caught onto what she was doing and leaned closer. They were inches apart until Mingyu stopped to a hilt. "Why'd you stop?" Minghao said, she was already breathless from the anticipation.

"Your skirt." Mingyu said, poking at the stilted clothing. "It's in the way."

Minghao nodded as she poked at the skirt too like it would fall of if she poked it even more. She pointed at the corset she wore. "It's pretty, isn't it?" Minghao tucked her lips into a smile as Mingyu's eyes scattered to take in the sight of Minghao.

"Yes, so very pretty. Can we kiss?" Mingyu held Minghao's middle as she was chewing on her own bottom lip, seeming to be impatient. Minghao snickered as she stripped off the skirt and tossed it across the room, it thankfully not breaking anything.

Once she had focused back on Mingyu, the other's lips were on hers.

Minghao gripped Mingyu's nape gently, her uncut, long fingernails dipped into the taller's skin. The both of them didn't care, Mingyu was now pressed up against Minghao as she kissed the other with vigor.

Minghao whimpered softly as she pulled away. "Did it hurt? Did I hurt you? I don't want to—" Minghao watched as the beauty's eyebrows stitched together in concern and her lips pouted in worry.

She was so ridiculous, Minghao had decided as she pulled the other against her once again. Kissing her lips like it was the secret to youth, the secret to being young forever, and the secret to love.

They ushered themselves on the plush bed as Mingyu wiggled on the sheets. Minghao pulled away and giggled. "You are so weird!" She said fondly as Mingyu paused, considering the words, and giggled along. The two of them were left giggling in the sheets as they paused in silence.

"I like the hair." Mingyu commented as Minghao felt a creeping blush on her cheeks. "Thank you m'lady, can I call you that?" Minghao questioned the pet name as Mingyu nodded with a grin.

Minghao looked at Mingyu, she was a goddess. Her personality was of a puppy, and then rest was of a goddess, her figure, her kindness, her everything.

Her eyes strayed down to the other's... breasts. Minghao just glanced back at Mingyu, like it was rude to stare. But they looked so, amazing.

"You're staring." Mingyu mumbled on her words as Minghao bit her lip again, looking up at her and seeing her cheeks a shade of red.

"M'lady you must be sculpted from the gods." Minghao caressed Mingyu's face, mostly her jaw as she pressed a tender kiss on the bone of her jaw.

"Mm, you make me shy Minghao" She murmured as her hand ran through Minghao's short hair. Her hair was shoulder-length and luxurious. As soft as a silk pillow made from the finest silk.

Clink! Clink! "I have an announcement!"

The two women tilted their heads as Mingyu sat up, fixing herself up as she gazed down at Minghao. "We should get going, Hao" She stroked Minghao's cheek before getting up to go.

Minghao quickly followed after shoving herself into her stilted skirt the fastest she could. She fumbled after the taller as Mister Yoon stood. "I have an announcement! My wife and I will go to Mister Wen's place of residence so we can work closely together with our new business."

The women turned to each other with puzzled expressions and Minghao shrugged, going to take another seat by Junhui.

She felt bubbles blow up within her in excitement. Mingyu is staying at my place? For a few months?

She felt the happiest she could. The woman she loves loves her back (hopefully), and she is living with her.

Once the night was morphing into dawn, it was time. "We'll adjust to Mister Wen's residence in a day if fate sees fit." Jeonghan spoke as Minghao's eyes shimmered. She turned to Mingyu as Mingyu blew a kiss. Minghao spun back around with heat buzzing in her ears.

If fate sees fit.
