firstly i'd like to say sorry for how slow this update came out, i've been super unmotivated. i should be updating regularly (every 2-3 days) from now on.
CW: " UNDERAGE " DRINKING
"let's go, i've got a suprise." tommy says, shoving all of our prizes into a tote id conveniently carried with us.
i nod, taking tommy's hand once more and walking out onto the rainy street."
tommy gives me a quick glance, snatching the tote from my hand and taking off, sprinting through the rain that sounded like bullets against the sidewalk.
i yelp, "tommy you bitch!!" i yell after him, taking off.
i follow him down the rainy streets for about five minutes, earning many concerned stares from passerby, but eventually he stops at a little shop, bending over and breathing heavily.
i do the same, stopping beside him and huffing, i stand up and lean against the wall, smacking his arm playfully.
"i guess i just won't buy you sushi then" he huffs, standing up and crossing his arms.
"nooooo." i whine, leaning into him and pushing him toward the entrance of the small sushi bar.
he smirks, grabbing my hand and opening the door for me, letting me walk in before following behind me and shutting the door.
the bar is bustling with people, it made sense, it was nearly dinner time on a friday afternoon. a young woman comes, smiling. she leads us to a booth that's not far from the door and hands us menus. she notices the little plastic crown tommy had won me from a machine at the arcade, and suddenly nods. she gives tommy a smile, gesturing toward my crown.
he seemingly gets what she's implying and nods, reaching for his wallet and handing him what i assume is his credit card. she walks away from the table quickly, i watch her push through a few other workers before turning back to tommy and smiling.
"what in the world did you tell her to do?" i ask, kicking him playfully under the table. he smiles, "we are both sixteen are we not? i had wilbur stop in here earlier and reserve some stuff for us." he explains, reaching across the table and holding my hand in his.
"oh tommy you did not!" i whisper yell, smacking his arm.
"but i did." he says, watching as our waitress returns, putting a tray of two pitchers and small cups on our table.
"it's best if you don't drink it too fast. it's very strong." she says, smiling at us.
we both nod. i sigh, pouring tommy and i both a small cup and giving her our sushi orders. she scurried away again, taking our menus this time.
"tommy we can't walk home drunk." i say, glaring at him.
"we aren't going to walk home. wilbur will be here in an hour." he says. clearly i didn't realize how prepared tommy was.
i sigh, picking up the cup and downing it. "you're lucky i love you." i joke, sliding his cup over to him and watching him throw it down his throat as well.
"have you ever drank before?" tommy asks, pouring himself and i another glass before setting them down.
i nod, tubbo and i had shared a few drinks together over the span of both of us turning 16. he nods, "so you have a tolerance?"
i gulp. "no." i admit. the times toby and i had drank it only took me 2 bottles of beer to get pretty gone. seeing as i wasn't super skinny but not super big either.
he laughs, shrugging. "no worries, mine isn't either. i'm quite the stick in case you couldn't tell." he jokes, bouncing his leg up and down, causing his whole body to bounce slightly.
i laugh, gesturing for him to come sit on my side of the booth, and he does. he sits down beside me, and i set my hand on his leg firmly to help calm him. i watch his face turn a light shade of red as he downs another cup of soju, his leg bouncing becoming less and less.
i smile, giving his leg a quick squeeze and letting go, bringing my hand back to rest on the table. we make some more small talk as we wait for our orders to arrive, he asks a couple questions about my twitch, and mentions we should stream together sometime. i agree, bringing up the possibility of playing phasmophobia, to which he quickly declines. i laugh, watching as the waitress brings us our trays of sushi.
"its all payed for by the tall gentlemen who came in earlier. mister soot! enjoy your meals!" she says, smiling and walking off.
"wait wait wait!!" i yelp, pulling out my phone. "before you mess it up,." i joke, snapping a quick photo of our food and putting it back in my pocket.
he bumps into me playfully, pouring us both another cup of soju. he quickly downs his, as do i. i notice the inconsistency in his movements and the flush of his face. i laugh, "you're already buzzed. you're not lying, you really are a lightweight." i joke, shoving a piece of sushi in my mouth.
he sighs, bumping his leg into mine and shoving a piece of sushi in his mouth as well.

it's safe to say by the time that tommy and i finish our food we are thoroughly buzzed. tommy's face remains the same pink shade that it had 20 minutes ago, and mine had begun to glow as well.
"are we ready to go?" i ask, raising an eyebrow at tommy. he nods, grabbing my hand and pulling me up from our booth. he shoots a quick text to wilbur and drags me outside.
"why such a hurry?" i ask him, squeezing his hand slightly as he shuts the door to the sushi bar.
"did i not tell you cass? wilbur is picking us up to take us to the beach, we are going for a bonfire. "
i sigh. tommy and i were getting buzzed for a reason. a bonfire meant drinking, and drinking meant toby would be driving us back to the airbnb.
"don't let me get too shitfaced." i joke, turning toward him.
i watch wilbur pull up in front of us.
"i won't," he laughs, opening my car door for me. "but i can't make the same promise for myself."
before the car begins down the road i open my phone, posting the picture from dinner and handing an airpod to tommy. i close my eyes, tonight is going to be fun.

aahhh sorry this chapter seems sort of hurriedly written. this update took awhile bc i was really unmotivated but yk it is what it is. i know the legal age to drink strong stuff like sujo is 18 in the UK but because wilbur got it for them it's fine blah blah sorry. but yeah drunk tommy content in the next chapter. have a loooot of stuff planned for it !! i'm wink wink !!!
