Upon finding Kenma, most of the guests were leaving a few of the boys in the house.
"Hey Kenma," Akasuki called entering the kitchen, Kenma collecting coats from the rack.
She frowned, really? Kenma shrugged with a smile,
"what's up?"
"Um," she took the coats from him, her hands brushing against his, "wait for me, I'll be back," Akasuki hastily ran outside to dump the coats upon her father before rushing inside to Kenma who was watching her closely.
"Okay like I was saying,"
"Hey Suki," Yaku chimed peaking his head through the door, "Lev wants to order in, would your parents mind if we,"
"Kenma, the game froze, what now?" Kuroo whined joining Yaku's side.
Why, why is everything ruining their moment together? Kenma noticed the frown on Akasuki's face clearing his throat,
"Kuroo, can you ask about ordering in?"
Kuroo glanced at Yaku shrugging,
"I mean, yeah, if,"
"Yes," Kenma interrupted, "and just, restart the laptop."
Kuroo nodded glancing between the pair,
"did we interrupt something?"
Yaku smirked crossing his arms copying Kuroo's signature move.
"Yes," "no," Akasuki turned to Kenma surprised at his abrupt answer, his eyes firmly on the two boys, "can you leave?"
"Please," Akasuki added.
Kuroo shook his head, still smirking a she guided Yaku from the room,
"maybe you should close the door if you want privacy."
That’s not the point. Kenma turned to Akasuki,
"what were you saying?"
She should just get it straight out; they might be interrupted again. She pulled out the present holding it out,
"I got this, for you, to say," she smiled glancing at the ground, "thank you."
"Suki," he took the present carefully unwrapping it.
"I hope you like it," she whispered, eyes still set on the ground.
Please like it. After a couple of seconds Kenma spoke,
"what, do you think?"
She lifted her head, whoa, holy shit, she had no words for what she saw before her. His face red at the silence of Akasuki pulling at the sleeves of his new hoodie.
"I," Akasuki whispered, she didn't know what to say, "you,"
Kenma chuckled lightly stepping forward to pull her into a hug,
"thank you."
Ah even the simple words still made her spark. She pulled back slightly to look at his face,
"cute."
He slowly leaned forward whispering,
"look at whose speaking."
She lifted her lips to close the gap between them, lips colliding softly as the pair exchanged in their first kiss as a new couple. Akasuki leaned back into Kenma's chest, in a fight with Kuroo over dominance over leg room.
"I'm the guest," Kuroo teased pushing Akasuki's feet off the sofa, into Lev's head.
Oh shit. They waited for a reaction from Lev but in the darkness, it appeared he had fallen asleep.
"Do you mind?" Yaku snapped shoving Akasuki's foot back onto the sofa.
She stifled a laugh catching Kuroo doing the same. Good laughs. Silently, Kenma pulled her further up into him, Akasuki watching Yaku anxiously glance at Lev. She started to wonder whether Lev had taken a step forward in his own adventures after he had spoken with her. Within the space of half an hour Kuroo had fallen asleep, leaving the three of them. There was a moment of silence filled by the film as Akasuki watched Lev engulf Yaku in his arms, nestling into him. Well then, that answers her wonders. Yaku desperately glanced up at sofa noticing her eyes on him. Right, he's probably not that comfortable yet. She smiled turning her eyes back to the tv, it's up to them to make the first step. It only took the next ten minutes for Yaku to give in to Lev's comfort and the sweet promise of sleep. A soft whisper filled her ear,
"you tired?"
Hm, she nodded looking up at Kenma's darkened face, copying his whispered tone,
"extremely."
He chuckled pressing a kiss against her head,
"sleep."
No way, she shook her head nestling into his chest,
"you're crazy if you think I'm going to waste my time with you by sleeping."
Who knows, he might sleep out of her fingers again.
"Suki," Kenma spoke lifting her chin to meet his face, "I'm not leaving," pressing a kiss against her lips.
She really hoped that this was a promise. Thank you Kenma, for everything. He pulled back resting his head against hers, this felt good. Much better than good. She closed her eyes letting his heart beat guide her mind.
"Kenma," she whispered on the verge of sleep, a soft hum returned, "I think, I'm stupidly in," she smiled to herself her tone almost diminishing into silence, "love with you."
