9:00 AM, Tuesday
I woke up at 9 in the morning. I forgot where I was, but then remembered I was at Johnny's apartment.
I slowly sat up and looked around. His place needed to be fixed. I got up from the couch and started to straighten it up. I cant let him live in a mess.
After about 15 minutes, his apartment was cleaned and tidy. I stood there and looked around, I proudly nodded and walked to Johnnys room.
I opened his door to go and wake him up. He was all snug in his bed. I smiled as I walked over to his side. I forgot how cute he looked when he was asleep.
"Johnny." I say in a whisper. He didn't open his eyes. I lightly pushed him, making him wake up.
He opened his eyes and smiled at me. "Morning." He said tiredly. I smiled and backed away for him to sit up.
"We could probably go to the dealership soon if you want." I said. Johnny was now sitting up, looking up at me from his bed.
"Yeah, I can make us some breakfast too." He said as he yawned. I smiled and nodded. "Ok!" I say happily.
Johnny got off of his bed and smiled at me. He walked out of his room and I followed him. He went to the kitchen and opened his fridge.
There was barely anything in there. Johnny scratched his head and laughed a little. "You want some fried baloney?" He asked.
I laughed a little, "Let's just go get some coffee from somewhere." I say as I rubbed his back. He smiled and closed the fridge. He looked to me and kissed my cheek.
"That'll be better." He said. I smiled as he pulled away from my cheek, I swear this is like high school all over again.
"Alright, let me see if there's a coffee shop we can walk to." I say as I made my way to his couch.
"Ok, I'm gonna take a quick shower and then we can go." He said as he walked to his bathroom. I smiled and nodded at him.
I don't know why things are so awkward with us. It's just so weird, being madly in love with someone, leaving them for 30 years and then reuniting with them again.
I eventually found a coffee bean that was around the corner from his apartment. I stood up as he opened his door, he was wearing a new outfit.
He walked out with a smile. He brushed passed me to grab his jacket. It's funny, he still smells the same.
"You ready to go?" He asked as he shrugged his jacket on. I grabbed my purse and made my way behind him. "Let's go." I say.
Johnny and I walked together to the coffee bean. We were talking about high school and how much fun we had back then.
We were laughing and having a nice time as we made our way to the coffee place.
"Our first date was fun." Johnny said with a laugh. I laughed and nodded.
"It was fun, but I think bruised my butt from how many times I fell." I say with a laugh. Johnny laughed even more.
"Right, your the clumsiest person I've ever met." He said with a smile.
"Yeah, I wasn't great with balance. But I learned it when Mr. Miyagi taught me." I say with a smile. Mr. Miyagi taught me and Daniel a lot. He was a very wise man.
Johnny nodded and put his hands in his pockets. "I taught you a lot too." He said.
"You did, I honestly think if we were to battle each other I would win." I say with a smirk. Johnny looked at me with a smirk.
"Oh really? I taught you everything you know." He said challenging me.
I scoffed, "Not all, remember who beat you at the tournament? I have the same skills as Daniel and you combined. I'd say Im pretty powerful." I say confidently.
Johnny laughed softly, "We may have to put that to a test sometime." He said with a smirk.
"We just may have to." I say with a smile. He smiled and we walked through the door of the coffee shop.
We ordered coffee's and two croissants. We got them and sat down at a table outside. I took a sip of my coffee, enjoying the wind on my face. It was making my hair flow in the wind.
I saw Johnny staring at me, I laughed softly. "Take a picture it'll last longer." I say with a smirk. Johnnys cheeks turned pink, he smiled sheepishly and looked down at his croissant.
I set my coffee down and took a bite out of my croissant. Johnny was spacing out, thinking about something.
"Watcha thinking about?" I asked him. He looked up at me and shrugged.
"I dunno, Im just trying to figure out what I'm going to do about my job." He mumbled. He took a sip of his coffee.
"Don't worry about it, I'll help you find a new one." I say with a smile. He smiled and nodded.
"You know, you could try to do what you wanted to do back then." I said.
Johnny raised his eyebrows, "Start a karate dojo?" He said.
I nodded and drank my coffee. "Yeah, It wouldn't be that hard." I said.
"Angel, that's not going to be easy." He said while shaking his head.
"It'll be easier if I help you." I say with a smile. He chuckled softly and shook his head. He looked worried.
"Don't worry." I say to him comfortingly. He became more relaxed as I said that.
"Ok, let's get this over with." He said as he stood up. I laughed as I realized what part of the reason to why he was worrying. I stood up and walked over to him.
"Ohhh, that's right! You get meet up with your buddy." I say as I playfully nudged him. Johnny smiled and nodded.
"Danielle better not make a scene." He said in a pout.
I snorted after he said that. "Just don't punch him and you'll be fine." I say with a laugh. Johnny laughed and tickled my side. I bursted out in laughter, making others stare at us.
Johnny laughed and stopped so we wouldn't make a scene. Johnny and I had huge smiles on our faces. I forgot how much fun I have with him.
We called an uber to drive us to Daniels dealership. The car ride was about 15 minutes, me and Johnny didn't really talk out loud because we felt too awkward to talk in front of the driver. So we just texted each other the whole time.

I looked at Johnny who looked confused at his phone. I laughed softly, which made him look at me. He gave me a confused look but smiled at me.
"Alright here we are." The uber driver said to us. I was about to get my wallet out of my purse but Johnny put his hand on mine to stop me.
Johnny got out a 20 dollar bill out of his wallet. "Thank you sir." He told the driver. We got out of the car and walked towards the building.
"I could've paid." I say as I crossed my arms. Johnny smirked and put his hood on. "It was my turn, you paid for food last night." He explained. He took his sun glasses and put those on, fully disguising himself.
"What are you doing?" I asked with a laugh. Johnny held the door open for me. "Trying not to make a scene." He explained with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "Oh boy." I say with a sigh. We walked into the the building, Johnny was speed walking. I had to jog to catch up with him.
"How you doing sir, would you be interested in-" I heard the same man who helped me yesterday say to Johnny. "Nope." Johnny interrupted him and continued to walk away.
I finally caught up to Johnny who was now at the front desk. Johnny took his hood, showing his blonde hair.
"Uh oh, Daniel might notice you now." I whispered to Johnny jokingly. Johnny playfully nudged me as he began to talk to the lady at the desk.
"Hi, welcome to LaRusso. How can I help you?" The kind lady said. Johnny got closer to the desk and crouched down. I walked up to the desk but stood like a normal human would.
"Hi, I just need to pick up my car." Johnny said in a quiet voice.
"And I need to get a new rental car please." I added. The lady nodded and smiled. Johnny got out the sheet of paper that they gave us. He handed it to the lady, he seemed very jittery.
"I'm in a bit of a hurry." Johnny said quietly. I couldn't help but laugh a little. His reaction was a little extreme, but that's how he's always been. Johnny gave me a side eye, I smiled and shrugged.
The lady was trying to look at the paper. "Oh, this came in last night?" She asked. Johnny was looking behind his shoulder to see if Daniel was around.
"Yes, both of our cars." I answered since Johnny was too distracted.
"Ok, we'll it's gonna be at least a couple of weeks for your car sir. For you ma'am, we can give you a new car today." The lady said.
"Sir, It'll be a couple of weeks, but we'll call you with an estimate." She added as she handed the paper back to Johnny.
Johnny crouched back over and took his sunglasses off. There's those beautiful eyes of his.
"No, my car wasn't supposed to come here. I want it towed to a different body shop." Johnny said in a hurry. The lady looked confused.
"But her car is from this dealership." She said. Johnny sighed, "Yeah, but I want my car to go somewhere else." Johnny said.
"Why?" The lady asked with a laugh. I chuckled a little too.
"We have the number one service team in the valley." She said. Johnny nodded slightly, he just wanted to get out of here quick.
"We beat all prices. We kick the competition." The lady said enthusiastically. Ooh yikes, that's the dealerships motto?
"Yeah, I've heard it a million times. I just prefer to do my business elsewhere." Johnny said, he sounded bored with speaking with this lady.
The lady didn't say anything, she looked a little discouraged. She took the paper and looked at it again.
"Thanks again for being returning customers. Before you go, Mr. LaRusso wanted to thank you personally." We heard a man say behind us to another customer.
I saw Johnny immediately tense up as he saw that man walk away to get Daniel.
The lady continued to scramble on her keyboard to send Johnnys car to another dealership.
"Can you hurry it up? I gotta go." Johnny said impatiently.
"Hold on." She said with a smile.
Johnny looked at me, from the look he was giving me he wanted to go now.
The lady looked at her computer. "Um, it says your car is in one of our intake lots. I'll just figure out which one." The lady said.
"You know what? I'll come back tomorrow." Johnny said rushingly and grabbed a hold of my hand.
He quickly turned around and pulled me with him, fastening his speed. "But sir, I-" The lady tried to say, but Johnny ignored her.
"Johnny?!" I say with a laugh. He just kept walking.
We almost were at the door but I saw Daniel. He waved at me and then looked to Johnny. His eyes widened as he realized who it was.
"Johnny?" Daniel said. Johnny stopped and turned around, still holding my hand. I didn't mind it.
"Johnny Lawrence! I.. I.. I knew it was you." Daniel said as he walked over to us. I smirked at Johnny and bumped into him a little.
Johnny made a fake smile, he didn't want anything to do with Daniel.
"Holy- How are the hell are you man?" Daniel said as he went in for a quick side pat. I tried so hard not to laugh at this. Johnny looked so awkward, this was great.
"Hey man." Johnny said.
"Oh my god, look at you!" Daniel said with a chuckle.
"You still got those golden locks, eh?" Daniel said. Johnny nodded and smiled a little. Daniel looked to me and then down to me and Johnnys connected hands.
"Oh- Are guys back together now?" Daniel said to me with a smile. My eyebrows raised as I let go of Johnnys hand. "Oh no, we met up with each other yesterday." I say with a nervous laugh.
Johnny smirked down at his feet. Daniel nodded and smiled. He looked back to Johnny.
"God this is crazy. How you been?" Daniel asked Johnny.
"Great man, thanks. I've been great." Johnny said unenthusiastically. Johnny didn't look to excited, I started to feel a little bad for him.
"That's great." Daniel said. "Anoush, come here! Louie, get over here! I want you to meet somebody." Daniel yelled to someone across the building.
Johnny started to back up a little. "I gotta go." Johnny said.
"No, no, no. This is Johnny Lawrence." Daniel said as he grabbed onto Johnnys jacket, pulling him back to him. The two guys were standing next to Daniel.
One of them went to shake Johnnys hand. He shook it and looked back to Daniel.
"He and I go way back. Right buddy?" Daniel said with a smile. I looked at Johnny who just stood there awkwardly.
"This guy was the toughest dude in my high school. Oh you know Serena, she was my good friend back then that trained with Mr. Miyagi. They dated." Daniel said to the others, pointing at me and Johnny.
I have them a smiled and waved. "See, when I first moved here from Jersey he and I... We got into it a little bit." Daniel said. Johnny nodded.
"This guy really had it in for me." Daniel added. Johnny squinted his eyes at Daniel.
"Well, you did move in on my girl." Johnny said in a stern voice. Daniel scoffed and smiled a little.
"Well, she actually wasn't your girl anymore, was she?" Daniel said. I saw that familiar look in Johnnys eyes that I remember very vividly. It's almost like 80s Johnny was possessing him.
"That's true, but then you kept butting in on me and Serena's relationship even when you knew I was trying to make a move with her." Johnny fought back. Wait, Daniel knew before I knew??
I looked at Johnny and then to Daniel with a confused expression.
"Alright. That's all water under the bridge." Daniel said trying to stop things from escalating.
"Wait. Is this the karate guy, the guy from the tournament?" One of the guys asked. Oh boy, here we go with the tournament.
Daniel smiled and nodded. "Oh this is the guy whose ass you kicked." The other guy said. I cringed, I knew how pissed that was going to make Johnny.
"Uh, listen, it was a really close match." Daniel said. Johnny relaxed a little and nodded. Yay Daniel, he's not messing this up.
"But if you wanna get technical.. I kicked his face." Daniel said almost too proudly. Well shit.
Johnny looked fumed, he has obviously had way too much of LaRusso for a day.
The guys and Daniel started laughing. "I'm just messing with your chops." Daniel said mid laugh. Johnny didn't think it was funny.
I smiled a little, Daniel is making the same mistake he made in '84, he's messing with the wrong guy.
"It was an illegal kick." Johnny said. I mean he's not wrong, Mr. Miyagi told me that a few days after the tournament. I don't think he told Daniel that though.
"Oh, illegal? Really? Come on. What about that elbow to my knee?" Daniel said with a laugh. Johnny smirked a little, that menacing smirk that he only gave Daniel.
"Yeah I got a warning, you got the win." Johnny said as he took a step toward Daniel. He looked like he was about to start fighting him. I pulled Johnny back to me, this should not happen here, or ever.
Daniel looked confused, which I'm shocked at because he started to bring up a sensitive topic for Johnny. And he knows that.
"Woah, woah, woah. No fighting in the showroom guys." One of the guys said. They began to laugh, Johnny still didn't show any emotion of humor or joy.
I chuckled softly and rubbed Johnnys back. "Ok let's not travel back in time for too long, alright?" I say with a laugh. Johnny and Daniel nodded.
"Come on. All right, back to work." Daniel said as he continued to laugh. The other guys walked away back to their jobs. Now it was just the three of us.
"So, what brings you in? You're looking for a new ride? And Serena, why are you back so soon?" Daniel asked, ending his sentence with a small laugh.
The lady from the desk came over to us. "He wants his car towed to a different body shop. And she needs a new rental." The lady said.
"Oh no, Johnny. We got the best prices in town." Daniel said. "That crook at Coles on Van Nuys, he'll try to screw you over." Daniel added.
"Sheila, let me see the estimate." Daniel said to the lady. I realized my hand was still on Johnnys back. I blushed as I took it off his back. He glanced at me and smirked. I smiled down at me feet.
"A pontiac?" Daniel asked ummmmm while holding a tablet. Johnny didn't say anything, he just nodded.
"Firebird?" Daniel added. "Yeah." Johnny mumbled. Daniel looked shocked.
"Wow, someone did a real number on this thing." Daniel said. Johnny looked at me and smirked. I was a little ashamed of myself.
"Yeah, they did huh." Johnny said as he smiled at me. Daniel didn't see my face.
"Well uh, that's where my issue comes in play." I say. Johnny looked at Daniel.
Daniel was confused then realized. "Oh no! Did you crash my rental car into his?" Daniel asked. I nodded and looked away.
"Alright, well since your my friend Ill just get you a new one." Daniel said. I smiled and nodded.
He turned back to Johnny. "For you Johnny, maybe it's time for an upgrade. Why don't we walk the lot?" Daniel offered. I know Johnny, he's not gonna give up on that car.
"I'll give you a great deal on a certified pre-owned-" Daniel added but was cut off by Johnny.
"I just want my car." Johnny said in an irritated voice. Yeah I knew it.
Daniel blanked and then nodded. "All right, all right. You got it, all right?" Daniel said.
"Let me see how low I can get this repair." Daniel said as he started to click something on his tablet.
"Friends and family.. my own personal code.." Daniel said. He then sighed as he saw the price.
"You know what? It's on the house." Daniel said with a kind smile.
"No way, man. I don't need your charity." Johnny said as he rolled his eyes. I could tell that Daniel was making Johnny feel small.
"No, you'd be doing me a favor. Our guys aren't used to working on a car like this. They could use the practice, you could use the repairs. This is a win-win." Daniel rambled.
"I said I'll handle it." Johnny interrupted using a louder tone of voice.
Daniel raised his eyebrows, "All right." Daniel said.
"Ok, but it's.. John it's gonna cost more than the car is worth." Daniel said. Johnny looked discouraged.
"I'll cover it." I said. Johnny looked at me. "No, you don't have to." He said.
"No Im the one ruined it in the first place." I said. I pulled out my credit card and handed it to Daniel.
"Here." I say. Daniels eyes were widened as he took my card.
"Ok, let me go get this paid for and then Serena Ill have one of the guys bring up another rental for you." Daniel said as he ran off with my card.
I looked at Johnny who didn't look very happy. "You didn't have to do that." He said without looking at me.
"Hey, It was my turn to pay." I said with a smirk. Johnny looked up at me and smiled.
"Cant he hurry up, I wanna get out of this place." Johnny said. He seemed pretty irritated. I laughed softly.
"Just a few more minutes and then your free, tiger." I say with a smile. Johnny sighed and looked back at Daniel who was walking back to us. He was holding a bonsai tree.
I smiled widely, "Oh wow, that's cool Daniel." I say. Mr. Miyagi used to cut these trees all the time. I remember spending a whole day with Mr. Miyagi just cutting those little trees with Daniel.
Daniel smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I had to do it in honor of Mr. Miyagi." He said. I nodded and smiled. Johnny took the tree and Daniel gave me my card back.
"And hey, Johnny. I don't blame you for what happened back in the day. All right, I know that wasn't you. It was Cobra Kai. Were all better off without it, am I right?" Daniel said. Johnny squinted his eyes.
Johnny looked so pissed. Daniel patted Johnny on the shoulder. "Take care of yourself, and I'll call you when the cars ready, ok?" Daniel said as he began to walk away.
"Oh and Serena, text me what night your free so we can have that dinner?" Daniel said with a wave. I nodded and waved. Johnny looked at me and then glared at Daniel.
Johnny turned around and we began to walk outside. "So what, you and Daniel are a thing now?" Johnny said sternly. I saw that his jaw was clenched.
I laughed and shook my head. "What?! No, he has a whole family. He just invited me over to meet his family." I said to Johnny. He nodded.
"Serena? Here's your rental." Someone told me. I smiled and nodded. They gave me the keys and walked away.
Johnny walked to the other side of the car and purposely dropped his bonsai tree on the ground, making a mess.
"Johnny? What the hell?" I say with a chuckle. He got into the car and shut the door. I got in the drivers seat.
"Better off without Cobra Kai my ass." Johnny spat as he put his seat belt on. Oh no, and here comes old Johnny.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I started to drive away from the building. Johnny looked at me and smirked, it wasn't a flirty smirk, it was his 'ready for war' smirk.
"I'm gonna do what I've always dreamed of doing." Johnny said. My eyebrows were raised.
"Oh no Johnny. Your not gonna bring back Cobra Kai right?" I say worriedly. After what Kreese did to him and the guys, Im impressed that he'd let this continue.
"Yeah baby." He said with a smile. He punched the air and I laughed.
"Could you drop me off at my place? I have some planning to do." He said.
"Sure." I say with a nod. I don't know what Johnny has planned, but this should be interesting.
