"What happened with Clay?" Kristina asked as she lay naked in his arms tracing circles on his bare chest.
"We voted for Mayhem but he must have caught wind of what was going on and skipped town when you went missing." He stroked his fingers up and down her bare arm. Forty-eight hours without was too damn long. She had become like a fucking drug to him.
"Fuck," Kristina sighed.
Jax gave her a little squeeze. "Everything will be okay, princess. Your dad and Jason are staying in town and the club's going on full lockdown. We'll get him. What matters right now is that our whole family is under one roof and safe."
"You're right, honey." She leaned up and softly kissed him.
As long as Jax had Kristina by his side calling him 'honey' and riding as his queen he could face anything that life – and Clay – threw at him.
