BIG ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE BOTTOM
Once the group had again dispersed, the dead sat together. They had been chatting for a little while now, but an awkward silence had filled the room.
George blinked and looked down, fiddling with the bottom of his blue shirt.
" So uh... How long have you been on Earth for? " He asked, glancing up at Eret before leaning against Dream.
" A while now. I'm not quite sure how long, but a while. I spent most of my time here in captivity. " Eret answered with a shrug.
George frowned and nodded. " Were they the ones who cracked your halo? "
Eret nodded. Dream grimaced and narrowed his eyes from under his mask. " I was about to tear them a new face when I found out. " He said angrily.
George chuckled. " A little aggressive there, huh? "
Dream glared, but he couldn't stay mad for long. He broke into a smile.
" Dream's wings caught on fire actually. " Eret chuckled.
" What- I don't remember that! " Dream looked puzzled.
" They weren't submerged in flames like when you were tied to the chair, but they had little fires starting on them. " Eret explained with a grin.
Dream rolled his eyes. " Yeah? Well I was mad alright. The dude had the audacity to- " He was cut off by Eret.
" Relax, nothing we can do about it now. " He said while patting the imp's back.
" I- fine. " Dream grumbled and leaned against George, they were both propping each other up.
George glanced down. " This all feels like a weird fever dream. " He said with a shrug.
" I can see that. " Eret sympathized.
Dream nodded. " We just have to deal. I think we're doing okay for how sudden getting kicked out was. " He said honestly.
George smiled. " For sure. "
Eret hummed. " Better than I handled it at least, but I'm happy now. " He said.
Dream's eyes lit up at his words. " Yeah, well I still sorta miss home. But I don't feel as out of place anymore. " He commented.
George chuckled. " That was kinda how I felt after I reached Heaven. " He said while sitting up and stretching. Dream almost fell over, but managed to catch himself at the last second. He shot a half-hearted glare at George, who smirked in response.
" What's a matter, Pissbaby? Don't get a shoulder to lean on? " Dream felt heat rise into his face at the Brit's words.
" Shut up. You're the one who just suddenly stood up! " Dream yelled back playfully.
Eret raised his eyebrows. "Where is that one from? "
" Nothing! " Sputtered Dream, throwing a hand over George's mouth.
George muffled out an incoherent answer and Dream wheezed.
Eret shrugged and looked away for a moment.
" How long have you guys been here? " He asked.
" Liiikeeee... A week or two? " Dream said in a questioning tone. George shrugged. " Maybe longer. " He added.
Eret nodded. " I feel like I've been stuck here for forever. " he complained.
George frowned. " It's not that bad. " He hummed.
Eret shook his head. " I didn't say that. I just said I've been here for a while. "
Dream looked down. " I miss Tommy. He was annoying, but he made me laugh. " He said.
George blinked. " Bad was super nice. His appearance was a little confusing with the horns and stuff, but he was still super sweet. " Dream chuckled.
" Bad's got an interesting back story behind those horns actually. " Dream replied.
" ooh do tell. " George perked up with interest, his halo beaming and almost too bright.
Dream leaned back a little.
" Okay, so he was actually also born there, just at the border. He's a couple years older than me. " He chirped.
" He was born between an angel and a demon, I don't remember what happened to them. " He continued.
" Because of that, he had a bunch of mixed features, like his halo and his horns. " He finished.
Eret tilted his head. " That's interesting. "
" Mhm " Dream agreed. George went back to leaning on Dream, who chuckled under his breath.
" I didn't know that. Bad's a little secretive. " George said.
" Probably wasn't my story to tell, but it's not like we're going back there anytime soon anyways. " Dream's tail wagged.
Sapnap and Skeppy wandered back downstairs.
" Oh? You guys are all huddled? You aren't planning on murdering us, right? " Sapnap called as he walked over.
Dream shook his head. " We're just reminiscing about being dead. " he said with a laugh.
" I think I remember Bad. " Eret said honestly. George grinned.
" Bad? " Skeppy asked. " Was he mean or something? Why is his name Bad? "
" No, no. He's like the sweetest guy to ever exist. " Dream said.
" Oh? That's not a very fitting name then huh? " Skeppy chuckled.
