Looking at the floor numbers changing as you were going up in the elevator, you kept thinking about Jungkook. You couldn't wait to check on him. After leaving like that last night, your heart was not at ease.
As you reached the floor, you hurried into the apartment only to find it empty. You looked around but he was no where to be found. So you thought maybe he went to the gym or maybe he was at work.
So you went to your room to call your client Minson and discuss about few things you have come up with. You looked around trying to remember where you kept your phone and then you found it under your pillow.
Your eyes widened when you saw so many missed calls and few messages. You went through them and most of them were from Jungkook and Miya. You quickly read through Jungkook's ones.
JK - y/n are you ok?
JK - are you there?
JK - Sleeping?
JK - why aren't you replying?
JK - whatever. just come home early.
JK - g. night!
You couldn't help but smile reading the messages. He was worried for nothing, so cute but you get it because you two reply each other instantly when you both are not together. So you called him back immediately to tell him that you are home. It rang and rang but he didn't answer.
Thinking he might be busy, you just left a 'sorry!' message and quickly completed your work to hang out with Jimin later. You really didn't know what to expect but since he said it's a casual friendly date you really didn't mind.
If you were being honest with yourself. You felt like you were free. Finally facing these things made you at ease. Even though it was hard at first now you are feeling light and happy.

"So where are we going?" you asked fastening your seat belt.
"Hmmm.. not sure, but I'm craving some dumpling and something spicy." Jimin smiled looking at you.
"Great I know the best place to go then ." You smiled secretly craving some dumplings as well. You directed Jimin to the restaurant without any problem. Normally you suck at directions but coming to this place often helped you memorize it.
"This is the place?" Jimin asked pointing at the small but decent restaurant. It's not crowded and their services are friendly and good. You really like it here so you gave a nod. Jimin looked at you and back at the restaurant.
You thought you saw him sigh but you were not so sure. He slowly turned back to you and gave a small smile.
"Okay. let's do this." he said grabbing a cap and a mask to cover himself. Then you realized what all of this was about. For a moment you forgot what Jimin was really like. You were being so carefree with Jungkook that you thought it will be the same with Jimin. But you were wrong. Jimin was still bothered about his surroundings.
"Jimin wait. If you want, lets go somewhere else." you told him because you could see that he was a bit uncomfortable. He knew right away that you noticed it but he wanted to make it work. He promised a normal casual hang out. So he didn't want to ruin it.
"No that's fine. Come let's go." he smiled and got off the car. Out of habit you were waiting for the door to open and then again you realized that you were not with Jungkook. You mentally scolded yourself to get it together and stepped out to follow Jimin few steps behind.
He chose to sit in the far corner facing towards the wall so that no one could see him. You quietly sat down opposite to him and waited for the menu card. Jimin looked around to see if anyone was paying attention and once he realized that no one was much around he settled himself bit comfortably.
"Are you sure you want to eat here? we can go to your usual place." you asked again just to be sure.
"No y/n, it's fine really." he said reaching out for your hand and placing his on top of yours to assure you. You smiled and gave a nod looking at him. Jimin smiled back sweetly but he quickly took his hand away when the old man came with the menu cards.
"Hello lovely young lady, I see that you are here with a new friend. Was there a problem with your usual table?" he asked wondering why you were sitting in the corner when you completely loved the window seat to eat while looking out at the garden.
"Hello Mr. Hong. No everything is fine. My friend here prefers to sit in corners." you replied to the sweet old man with a big smile.
"Oh well then. What can I get you both? will you have the usual?" he asked you.
"Yes please. I'll have the usual and some dumplings for both of us. What will you have Jimin?" you told the old man and turned to ask Jimin.
"I'll have a spicy kimchi ramen." he smiled at Mr. Hong and handed over the card.
"Very well. Be right back." he smiled and left us to bring our order.
You looked at Jimin who finally removed his mask completely and set it aside. He cleared his throat before looking at you. By the way he was looking you already knew what he was going to ask. And when he did you smiled because you were right.
"I see you are a regular here. Who do you come with and what was that table thing." he asked resting his elbows on the table and leaning his face against his hands.
" Well Jungkook and I come here whenever we go out for walks. We always sit at that table there so that I get to see the beautiful garden which is filled with flowers." you said pointing at your usual table you sit with Jungkook.
"And the kimchi fried rice they have here is the best I have ever had." you gave a smile. It's been a while and you never thought you could look at him again and have a conversation like this. Life is full of unexpected things.
"So you and Jungkook go out often..in public?" Jimin asked out of curiosity but tried to act casual.
"Not often but whenever he is free or feeling bored." you replied without thinking much. He gave a nod. You wanted to talk and ask him stuff but you didn't know what to ask exactly. So you decided on asking on his future projects.
After few minutes Mr. Hong came in with your food. And as usual he has placed two fried eggs on your fried rice. You couldn't help but smile widely.
"Don't you eat only one egg a day?" Jimin asked remembering your eating habits.
"Yes I do. Normally JK orders two each and take one from me since he is embarrassed to order three for himself." you explained why you had two eggs. Seeing it reminded you of Jungkook. You didn't see him nor heard back from him.
So you took your phone out to see if he replied or called but there was non. You placed the phone on top of the table with your eyes lingering on it a bit, wishing that he would reply.
Jimin couldn't help but notice how different you are now. He looked at you with a confused and amused expression. Even though you were with him, he could tell your mind was else where. And now since you kept looking at the phone he thought of striking a conversation again.
"That's a very cute pic. Is that you?" he asked looking at your lock screen.
When you looked down at it, you couldn't help but chuckle remembering that moment. It was a crazy night.
"What's so funny?" Jimin asked looking interested.
"Well one night JK and I went on grocery shopping. I lost a bet against him so he put me in this cart and made me shop in it. And took this photo as a reminder to never place bets against him. Gosh it was so embarrassing but fun too." You smiled so brightly staring at the picture.
"Oh really. I bet it was. He can be crazy at times." Jimin said smiling.
"Oh he is crazy alright." You said and went on and on about things you two have done.
Jimin kept looking at you as if he was seeing you for the first time. He couldn't help but get jealous because the only time you talked properly always had to do something with Jungkook and when you do your face lit up immediately and a real beautiful smile appear on your lips.
And knowing Jungkook has been doing these kinds of things with you fearlessly made him look down on himself. Because no matter he knew that he couldn't act like that with you. And Jimin had to admit that he was not expecting to see you do these things. He never thought you had a childish side. You were always so lady like and that was one of the main things he liked about you.
Past few years Jimin may have noticed that you did act different with Jungkook. But he never knew that was the real you that he kept seeing until now.
After dinner Jimin decided to take you on a walk at the park near by the restaurant which you passed on your way. Jimin smiled at you and walked next to you with hands in his pocket. You could tell that he wanted to hold your hand but his stopping himself because he promised that this was a casual friendly date.
"You know that friends hold hands too right?" you said turning to him. Jimin kind of stopped in his tracks and looked at you. He was not sure if you meant it or not.
" It's not a biggie. I do it with JK and Tae too." you said being cool about it.
"And we did too. I remember." He smiled and put his hand out to you and you placed yours in his. He smiled warmly at you and you returned it.
You could see that he was happy and sad both. But at this moment this is all you could give. Deep down you really missed Jimin. You wanted to be around him comfortably and right now being a friend was more than enough for you to start over.
And earlier when you told him about this, he took it well. He actually liked the ideas. Jimin thought it was better to know the real you first. He regretted that he never invested his time getting to know you properly. He was happy with knowing only what he wants and what he have. You were giving it all for him and that's why he took you for granted.
Jimin was never around much. He stopped having deep conversations after getting involved with you. He was always living in the moment with you even though he loved you. He realized that it was the biggest mistake he did.
So he thought it would be fair to give you time and spend more time with you in any way you liked.
After talking and walking for a while you both decided to go home. It was really late when Jimin stopped in front of the apartment building.
"So I guess I will see you tomorrow?" He asked with hopeful eyes.
"Yes you will. I have a meeting in the morning so I'll come after that." you answered him with a smile.
"Ok then." He smiled back sweetly.
"No more drinking. and no skipping meals. I'll change the bandage tomorrow. Okay?" You narrowed your eyes at him.
"Yes ma'am." He chuckled and you gave a nod.
"Good night Jimin."
"Good night y/n! "
You said your goodbyes and got to the door. Since it was late you thought Jungkook must be sleeping. So you decided to be careful and not make any noises.
You slowly closed the door behind you and entered the living room. And as you were about to head to your room, you jumped as your startled eyes came in contact with Jungkook's mad eyes. You were kind of freaked out by his sudden appearance and now seeing him looking angry shocked you more.
"Is this a time to come home?"
