Back in the real world.
I woke up gasping and looked next to me. Dean was hanging from the wall and so was i. The vampire we had killed was lying there, dead.
Dean coughed out "Len-"
I nodded "I am fine"
Suddenly the Djinn walked inside, teeth fetching.
I glared at him and made the machete that was lying on the ground cut his head off.
Then I opened my ties and did the same with Dean.
Dean looked at me "you okay?"
I nodded "yeah, let's get out of here"
Dean put a hand on my cheek "Len-"
I shook my head "no, Dean, I promise, I am fine"
He nodded, not believing me for a sec but he let it go.
At the bunker.
Dean and I walked inside. Cass, Sam and Jack were sitting at the table.
Sam looked at me "how was the case?"
Dean looked at him confused.
Sam "you've been gone for a couple hours. I actually thought you two killed each other"
Dean shook his head "yeah, well, it was more than just a vampire"
They looked at us confused.
I took a deep breath "I need a shower"
Then I walked into my room.
In my room.
I walked out of the bathroom and into my room and sighed when Sam was there "Sammy-"
Sam "Dean told me that a Djinn got ahold of you – what it showed you"
I shook my head "I don't wanna talk about it, Sam"
Sam "are you okay?"
I sighed "I already told Dean-"
Sam "well, he's not believing you. And neither am I. Elena, what you did-"
Me "was necessary .It felt real, but it wasn't. I knew it wasn't. Of course it hurt me that I had to do it. But it wasn't real"
Sam nodded.
In the control room.
Sam and I walked in.
Dean took a sip of his beer "Marriage is something for losers, okay? I mean who the hell pays thousands of dollars for one day?"
Jack "people who love each other"
Dean "Marriage is crap. I mean, look at me and Leny, we've been together for more than 6 years"
Cass "you and Elena have been apart for some while"
Dean rolled his eyes "in total we've been together for more than 6 years"
Jack "and how does it feel?"
Dean "like we've been together for 50 years"
I rolled my eyes and snatched the beer out of his hand .
Dean asked amused "what? or am I wrong?"
I shook my head.
Jack "so you don't want to get married?"
Dean shook his head "absolutely not. "
I raised an eyebrow at Dean.
Jack gestured for Dean to look at me.
Dean grimaced "maybe "
I chuckled "It's funny that you think I would actually marry you. "
Dean looked at me kinda offended.
Me "I mean it's true. I would never marry you. We are already acting like an old married couple. And I don't need a ring to know that I wanna be with you forever."
Jack "I thought girls plan their wedding days since the second they find out what a wedding is"
Dean nodded "girls do that...and Sam"
Sam looked at him offended.
Dean looked at me "are you serious?"
I nodded "I am dead serious. but if we happen to come across a case in Vegas.... And you were to ask me to do that... I mean, of course I would say yes to a Vegas wedding"
Dean smiled at me "I love you so much, baby"
I smiled at him.
Jack "so, are you guys engaged?"
Dean and I shook our head "god, no"
Sam chuckled "you guys will never get married"
I nodded "thank god"
Dean "yeah, the second you put a ring on it the sex stops"
I glared at him "well, it's definitely gonna stop now"
Dean "you know what I mean. Everything just gets complicated once you put a label on it. And we are already complicated enough "
Sam looked at us confused "so you two talked? Are you back together again?"
I looked at Dean who looked at me.
In Dean's bedroom.
I walked in "you wanna talk about it?"
Dean "do you want to talk about it?"
I looked at him confused "what do you mean?"
Dean asked kinda irritated "Elena, we had a child. You and I had 8 year old kid. Why does it look like you don't care?"
I sighed.
Dean "Elena"
I turned to him "Because I knew it wasn't real, Dean."
He froze confused.
Me "you can't even imagine the amount of happiness that went through me when I saw Allison. I was happy,Dean. I was so happy. But you and I both know that it was fake. That there was something else going on. It was a dream that would never come true"
Dean asked confused " Why do you think that ?"
Me "Because we had a child. It just was too good to be true."
He nodded.
Me "Dean, do you have any idea how many enemies you have?"
Dean snapped a little "well, not as much as you but close"
I nodded "Exactly. There are hunters out there who know who I am but don't care that I am not normal because Bobby accepted me and they trusted Bobby."
He sighed.
Me "And let's not forget my father's species. The demons despise me more than anything since they think I am a disgrace to their kind because I am a crossbreed. The only reason some of them don't kill me is because they're loyal or fear Alastair. "
He nodded "I know, Elena"
Me "and do you also know that if we were to have a child that the child would be like me, a crossbreed?"
He nodded "I also know that"
Me "do you, as a hunter, really want to have a crossbreed baby?"
Dean looked at me if I was crazy "I know what comes out of a crossbreed and human – another crossbreed"
I looked at him surprised "would you really want to have a baby with me?"
He asked even more confused "why would I not want to have a baby with you?"
Me "Because I am the thing you guys hunt on a daily basis"
Dean asked confused "so what? Elena, I love you, all of you. your demon side and your human side "
I looked down "Dean..."
Dean said kinda amused and unsure "Why that look on your face? You gonna tell me now that you don't love me anymore and that you don't want to have kids'"
I looked at him "prediction"
Dean looked at me for a second before sighing "Len-"
Me "that what you said, remember'? back when you and I broke up because I had slept with Sam. Sam was in love with me and you two were fighting, just like it happened in the Djinn dream. "
Dean shook his head "that is not the same. That was different"
I asked hurt " was it really, Dean? Because the life you and I saw was pretty much how our future would turn out. "
Dean "that was too good to actually become true"
I asked irritated "too good? Dean, I choked my own daughter to death"
Dean grimaced "Except that part of course"
Me "It scares me, Dean. "
Dean nodded.
Me "It scares me more than any evil we've ever come across with"
He nodded "yeah me too"
I looked down.
Dean "Len"
Me "mhm"
Dean "we still haven't talked about. You know..."
I nodded "oh yeah, we have talked about it. Thing is we always started to argue once it came down to make a final decision"
Dean nodded, looking down.
Me "what are you thinking about?"
Dean "Maybe you would have been better off without your feelings for me"
Me "do you think that?"
Dean asked amused "you don't? Len, now you have clear head, now you went through both ways. Don't tell me you think you haven't thought about it too."
I nodded "of course, I've thought about it. "
Dean "and?"
Me "you would have been the one with the broken heart. Or we do the same thing I did back then when i thought Sam was still in love with me"
Dean shook his head "I don't like that at all"
I asked irritated "and you think I do? Dean, at some point we have to make a choice. And thanks to our fucked up lives I can guarantee you that the decision we have to make will go against everything we stand for"
He nodded "I know"
I sighed "Dean, I didn't threaten your mom. I swear, I didn't do that"
Dean nodded.
Me "just trust me on this one. Just have my back on this one, please"
Dean asked confused "you think I don't have your back?"
I shook my head "honestly, it doesn't feel like it. I've had your back through so much shit, Dean, because I trusted you. And for you to not have my back when I am clearly in the right hurts a lot"
He sighed before nodding "I know what mom did"
I froze "what?"
Dean nodded "While you were under the shower Sam beat my ass to talk to Rowena. I talked to Rowena and she told me what happened."
I asked irritated "so when a witch tells you the truth you trust her but when the girl you love tells you the same thing you don't believe her? What the fuck, Dean?"
Dean sighed "don't get mad, please "
I shook my head "I am not getting mad, Dean, I already am."
Dean sighed "She's my mother"
Me "who wanted me gone."
Dean "why do you think did she leave with Bobby to the cabin?"
I looked at him confused.
Dean sighed "she told me to throw you out because she didn't feel safe with you here after you threatened her"
I raised an eyebrow "did she now?"
Dean nodded "she did"
Me "I'm gonna be honest with you, Dean, if you had kicked me out back then you then you should have also lost my number"
Dean sighed "Len-"
I shook my head "nah, I am serious"
Dean "but I didn't, okay? I would never kick you out. I told her to go to the cabin and wait till things calmed down"
I asked pissed off "the hell do you mean with "calmed down"? She was the one messing with me, Dean, not the other way around"
Dean nodded "I know. And I believe you. And I am sorry for doubting you"
I looked down, shaking my head.
Dean put a hand on my cheek and made me look at him "hey, I am sorry, Len"
I nodded.
He hugged me "I love you."
I smiled a little "I love you too, Dean"
Dean smiled "haven't heard you say that in months"
I smiled a little "I love you, handsome"
He smirked "say it again"
Me "I love you"
He pulled me in for a kiss.
