"Oi (L/n)-saaaaaaan!"
You turn around and see Oikawa running up to you, with Iwaizumi behind him.
"You live around here (L/n)-san?" he asks.
You nod.
"Yeah a couple blocks that way. You?"
Iwaiumi points indicating where.
"Our houses are just over that hill."
Oikawa puts one arm around each of you and pulls you both closer to him.
"We can walk to school together EVERY DAY NOW!"
"Not every day." Iwaizumi reminds him.
"Oh right," Oikawa says releasing his grip on you two, "Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I Iive at my dad's house. That means you two will be alllllllll alone three days of the week."
Iwaizumi punches him in the side while you continue looking forward, not catching onto his teasing.
"So you guys have a practice match today right?" you ask.
"Yeah, it's against this school Karasuno." Iwaizumi replies.
"I didn't think they'd put a real match and a practice match so close together. Aren't you guys tired after that game yesterday?"
Oikawa smiles ruffling your hair.
"You underestimate us (L/n)-san~"
Iwaizumi smacks the back of Oikawa's head.
"You're gonna mess up her hair Shittykawa!"
"Ahhhh Iwa-chan you meanie!"
You giggle at their funny interaction, making Iwaizumi blush. He looks at you intently while you laugh cutely, hoping you don't notice.
"Your nicknames are Shittykawa and Iwa-chan? You guys are cute."
Oikawa smiles big and Iwaizumi blushes next to him.
"We know (L/n)-san!" Oikawa exclaims proudly.
You laugh again.
The three of you arrive at school and get to your classroom. You take your seat a couple rows behind the two friends.
When lunch time rolls around, you plan on eating by yourself at your desk like yesterday.
Oikawa and Iwaizumi notice, and Oikawa says they should invite you to eat lunch with them and the team.
"That's a good idea." Iwaizumi starts, "You should go ask-"
Oikawa pushed him over to your desk, forcing him do it himself. Now that he was right next to your desk, he was frozen. You look up at him curiously.
"Yes?" you ask sweetly.
"Uhh Oikawa and I were just saying that you could eat outside with us and the rest of team."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"O-only if you want to though! You can totally stay in here if y-"
"Alright." you say, already standing up with your bags.
Iwaizumi looks at you with relief.
"Oh, really?"
"Sure, unless you were just joking in which case I ca-"
"No no no I was serious!" he says defensively, "Uh it's this way."
You get into the hallway where Oikawa was waiting for both of you.
"(L/n)-saaaaan!"
You smile at him as he excitedly waves.
"Come on come on!" he says motioning for you both to follow him. You walk side by side with Iwaizumi while Oikawa skips in front of you.
You look up at the boy next to you. He was hot, like, really hot. But he could also be cute, like when he stutters and stuff.
You didn't notice you were staring until he tried looking at you. He made eye contact with you for a split second before you both quickly looked away.
Both of you were worried that the other thought you were weird, but in reality, you were both blushing.
Iwaizumi held the door to the outside open for you and you both walk to the picnic table you could see from the classroom yesterday. Oikawa was a little ahead of you and went to whisper to the team so that you and Iwaizumi couldn't hear.
"Don't mess this up for Iwa-chan guys." he says winking.
Before they could ask what he meant, they saw you approaching with Iwaizumi.
"(L/n)-san!" a couple of them yelled.
You wave politely and the team makes room for you to sit.
"Are you coming to our practice match today?" one of them asks excitedly.
Another one chimed, "Oh yeah pleeeease come to the match!"
You blush and sit down next to Iwaizumi.
"I'll be there for another article, but I think you'd survive without me."
A couple teammates shook their heads.
"Oikawa AND Iwaizumi were performing like ten times better when they noticed you there." one of them says.
Oikawa smiles at you from across the table and Iwaiumi gave his teammate a death glare.
"I'm always playing ten times better than YOU guys." he says nonchalantly.
Oikawa laughs and soon the conversation turns into a 'who plays the best during a game' argument.
You smile at their friendship. It's nice to witness people who are so close to each other interact.
"I think you all play well." you say.
Oikawa looks over to you.
"Awwwww you really mean that (L/n)-chan?"
You smile back and nod
"Even Iwa-chan~" he says with a smirk you didn't notice.
"Especially Iwa-chan." you reply.
You didn't realize because you were busy eating, but Iwaizumi had the most obvious blush EVER and was frozen in place as he stared off into space.
The team laughed and you looked up confused, not noticing how flustered the boy next to you was.
"What's so funny?"
"Ohhhh nothing (L/n)-san."
"(Y/n)" you say.
"Hmm?" the team asks.
"You all can just call me (Y/n). But only cuz you're being nice to me."
The whole team smiles big, except Iwaizumi who was still in a trance.
"(Y/n)-chan!" they yell excitedly.
You roll your eyes and finally look at Iwaizumi after noticing he hasn't said anything. You see his flustered expression, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape.
You wave your hand in front of his face, snapping him back to reality.
"You alive?" you ask jokingly.
"O-oh yeah uh I'm f-fine." he says rubbing his neck.
You look at him worriedly and go back to eating your food.
Dang it she probably thinks I'm an idiot. I can't even hold a conversation with her. She thinks I'm stupid.
I'm an idiot, he's probably acting like this because I was looking at him before. He thinks I'm weird.
