"You would do that?" I laugh at his question.
"Of course I would! I think it would fun, don't you?" Sasuke just smirked as we continued to walk down the narrow pathway. As I was admiring the birds a hand had stopped me from moving. My E/C eyes trace the arm until it met with onyx colored ones.
"What's wrong Sasuke?"
He let go of my hand, making it sluggishly fall back at my side.
"Something isn't right Y/N..lets go find Naruto."

Sasuke jumps on to a tree branch and heads out making me almost trip on myself as I try to keep up with him. I tried to ask him what was wrong but he ignored me and kept jumping. He stops so I jump and stop next to him, looking down at the scene before us. There were these three unfamiliar ninjas who seemed to be bothering Naruto and Sakura. I could also see Konohamaru and his friends but a ninja with purple markings had grabbed Konohamaru by the collar and was practically spitting on his face. The nerve that guy has to do that to a kid...
"Ugh those people.." I grit my teeth and Sasuke notices. He grabs two stones and passes one to me. I grab it and look at him as he gives me a nod, turning back his head to face the boy. I smirk and we both raise our hands that each rock is in and aim right for the head.
We throw the rock and it hits bullseye on the guys head causing him to let go of Konohamaru and look our direction in anger. Sasuke sits down while fiddling with another small stone and I sit on the edge, my feet dangling and my smile wide with mischief.
"You are a long way from home and you are way out of your league.." I giggle at Sasuke's comment and follow afterwards.
"Yes, picking on a little kid? You must be that weak huh?"
I hear as Sakura screams and cheers for...Sasuke. I-..I am here too you know. The three little ones though cheer for both of us causing me to blush from embarrassment. I see how annoyed Naruto is at Sasuke but smiles as he turns his head to me which makes me smile and wave his direction. Sasuke however, keeps a straight and unamused face. The guy in purple paint gets irritated and takes the wrapped thing from his back and slams in of the ground. What is he doing? I see as blue strings start to form towards the object but before he finishes someone interrupts our little 'chat.'
"Kankuro...back off."
Both me and Sasuke freeze and look to the side of the tree to see a boy standing upside down on a branch. He had red hair and blue eyes and he had this huge bottle thing attached to his back. On one side of his eyes there seemed to be a mark but I couldn't understand it. I tried to look for his eyebrows too but soon realized...he didn't have any...Oook then.
"You're an embarrassment to our village."
Everyone seemed to gasp at his comment. Jeez, why does he have to say something like that? And to his own team mate too. Even the girl with blonde hair seemed surprised by her friends outburst...
"Oh hey, G-Gaara.." Kankuro says nervously and puts the wrapped object back on his back. I sit still, looking at the mysterious red head as I think of how he could have appeared without me or Sasuke noticing his presence. So he seems to be the leader of the three...Not a bad looking kid to be honest.
The red head shifts a little before speaking again.
"Have you forgotten the reason we came all the way over here?" Both of his team mates laugh nervously and Kankuro rubs the back of his head.
"I-I know..I mean, they challenged us, heh, they started the whole thing really. See heres what happened-"
"Just shut up." We all fell silent waiting for the stranger to speak again.
"Or I'll kill you."

I was shocked at how someone could threaten their own people like that. Kankuro apologized, saying he was totally out of line and repeated his apology. Seemed to be out of fear though..the guy on the tree then turns to both Sasuke and I and apologizes for his friends actions and the trouble he had caused.
'This guy has an even look in his eye.' I thought, making sure to not break my eye contact on him. Then out of nowhere, The red head turns into sand and appears in the pathway next to Kankuro and the blonde girl.
"Lets go, we didn't come here to play games.." As they start to walk off I couldn't help but jump down and yell at them to stop. The girl replies with a simple 'what'.
"I can tell by your headbands that you come from the village hidden in the sand.."
They don't respond to my question and keep walking which agitates me. Ugh the audacity some of these people have! Sasuke stops besides me and yells.
"Hey you! What's your name?" The blonde turns around and blushes.
"M-me?" Sasuke frowns.
"No the one in the gourd." I nod in response. I too was curious about this guy. The all stop and the red head turns his head towards me and Sasuke.
"Gaara of the desert. I am interested in both of you too. What are your names?"
Sasuke and I smirk and introduce ourselves with confidence.
"Sasuke Uchiha."
"Y/N Uzumaki."
There is a long silence as we stare at each other, however the silence didn't last long as Naruto bursted out.
"I bet you are dying to know my name right?" Naruto says excitedly.
"I couldn't care less." Gaara and the others jump away and disappear, leaving us as the wind blew through my hair.
"Well, things just got interesting huh?" Sasuke nods and looks at me while smirking. I smile back and turn my head to face a distraught looking blonde boy. He was asking Konohamaru if he thought he was cool from which the little one said 'not really compared to Sasuke.'
"AHH! I won't let you out do me Sasuke!"
Naruto tries to get up and personal with Sasuke to only be pushed of vigorously by him.
"Get off me, loser."

Kakashi Sensei had told us to meet at the bridge and we did but....It has been over an HOUR!! And he hasn't shown up yet! Both me and Sasuke laid on the railing trying to patiently wait as Naruto and Sakura argued over Kakashi always being late. They aren't wrong though, he has come late to every single one of our meet ups..
"First thing in the morning and you all are already driving me nuts." I frown at Sasuke's comment and decide to move off the railing but before I get too far he grabs me by the hand. I turn my head towards him in confusion as I raise my eyebrow in annoyance.
"Where are you going?" I close my eyes and respond quietly.
"I thought I was driving you nuts, so I will just let you be." I try to tug away from his hands but it had a firm grasp on my palm, trapping me in his embrace.
"Y/N..I didn't mean you. Come back here." I was taken a back by his sudden demand that I didn't know how to respond. My face became warm as I stared at his eyes.
"I-...I-"
*POOF*
I avert my eyes from Sasuke at look at the figure on the the top of the railing.
"-Hey." Kakashi Sensei had finally arrived.
"Sorry I'm late. Afraid I got lost on the path of life."
"YOU LIAR!!" Sakura, Naruto, and I yell, pointing our fingers at him in shame. He lazily jumps down and tell us that he had recommended us for the...Chunin Exams!?
"Here are the application for the exams. This in voluntarily so it up to you if you want to compete." Naruto hugs Kakashi Sensei telling him his thanks from which causes Kakashi to feel uncomfortable. Sensei had told us that once we fill out the applications, to go to room 301 at the Academy at 3:00 p.m. exactly five days from now. Kakashi Sensei then poofs out of existence, I never know where that guy goes to be honest. He just...disappears. I need to learn that method when Naruto starts begging me for money so he can eat at Ichiraku Ramen.
We walk off the bridge and to the main entrance as we saw ninja from all around the world and different villages make their way into our village. I have a bad feeling about this..
Naruto went to go meet up with Konohamaru and the gang as Sakura went to think on something. I walk with Sasuke but halfway through he disappears. Where did he go..?
"Sasuke? Sasuke! Where did you go.." I feel as a pair of hands wrap around my neck.
"S-Sasuke?"
"Sorry...Y/N I had to uh go do something.." I nod and continue to walk with him. Something about him seems to be different about him but I can't figure out what...We walked throughout the village and I couldn't help but notice how touchy he was being. He wouldn't try to hold my hand in public like this.
"Y/N...I am going to go and hang out with Sakura. You should go." My eyes widen as he turns around to look at me.
"I uh..I-um o-ok then.." I stumble over my words as Sasuke turns around and leaves me all alone in the market. How could he just leave me like that? Ugh who am I kidding!? How could I fall for a guy that doesn't seem to care about me anyway...I feel tears start to form and I turn around and bolt the other direction.
'That was so embarrassing for me!' I think to myself as I try to run past the citizens of the leaf village. I closed my eyes to try and get ride of the tears but they kept coming. I bump into someone and fall to the floor.
"I-I'm sorry sir..I wasn't p-paying attentio-n.."
"You're coming with me little girl." Before I can react, the person takes me over his shoulder and jumps away from the market. I try to scream and yell to get somebody's attention, but nobody seems to hear nor pay attention to me.
We reach an empty and foggy area as the man throws me at a tree. I hit my back against the tree harshly and struggle to get up. Who is this guy?
"Don't take the Chunin Exams...Y/N" I stand up and face the man, shaping my hand into a fist. How does this guy know my name? Why doesn't he want me taking the Chunin Exams? Pfft, he just wants me to give up huh? Well I don't give up. That is mine and Naruto's ninja way.
"I won't give up! I don't care what it takes, but people like you can't force me to quit! I wont let you! That is my ninja way!" I dash towards the man but as I punch him, my fist goes through his chest. An illusion..
"Heh, you are just an illusion huh? To scared to face me in person??" The man laughed and told me to watch my back and to stay cautious as he disappears. I puff out some air and jump back to the main village. I run past villagers and merchants and can't help but feel like I am being followed.
I look behind me as I run, not paying attention to what is in front of me. I bump into someone...again.
"Ugh again? I am so sorry sir I just can't seem to pa-"
"Y/N? There you are." I look up and face a ravened hair boy.
"Sasuke?"
