"You wont be able to put a scratch on my forehead" He mocks moving his thumb across his forehead. I scoff at his teasing.
"Lets see about that." I comment.
"Begin!"

As soon as I heard those words I became more cautious. I knew Sasuke was a good fighter and i had to plan out my moves carefully. I knew he was an Uchiha too, so I was lucky he didn't unlock his Sharingan yet. He decided to make the first move by throwing shurikens towards me so I quickly take out my kunai to block them. He then started to charge towards me so I get in a defensive stance, ready for his attacks. He takes out his kunai and tries to attack me but I block every attack. He kicks under my feet causing me to fall backwards.
He kicks me again this time causing me to fly back and hit the ground. I shakily get up and focus on my move. I throw shurikens at him and as he is distracted I run to the side thowing one of my kunai in his direction. He blocks the attack of course but it gives me time to get behind him an kick his back, sending him forward and on to the ground. Everyone gasps in surprise because nobody had ever been able to get Sasuke on the ground the way I had. He turns around on his back staring at me with fire in his eyes but they weren't fire of hatred but fire of excitement. He quickly got up and smirked at me.
"I guess you aren't as weak as I thought" He said getting back into stance.
"Damn right I'm not"
"Y/N, language."
"Sorry Iruka Sensei.."
Sasuke smirked again and charged at me but this time I charged back at him with the same force. We ended up punching each other the same time in the face and we both fly backwards on our backs. The class agains gasps and now everyone's attention is on us. The other two groups have stopped fighting and came to watch the scene unfold. Both Sasuke and I struggle to get up but we both end up on our feet again. We begin to charge again when Iruka Sensai stopped us.
"It is getting late and you two fought pretty well. I am proud of the both of you...DISMISSED"
I look over at Sasuke and see the mark where I punched him. He stares back at me and scoffs.
'He always scoffs' I thought as I gave him a blank expression. As the rest of the kids left but at the entrance I saw Naruto waiting for me. I began walking but stopped when I felt a hand grab my arm. I turned around to see who it was and my eyes went wide when I saw the person.
"S-Sakura?"
She stood still looking down at the floor and then back up at me. I stood still as well not knowing what to do.
"I just wanted to say I am sorry for this morning..." She mumbled, puffing her cheeks.
"I- uh..It's um...It's ok, I forgive you.." I state. I pull her to let got of my arm and slowly back away to create some distance.
She just nods and walks off the other direction.
I turn back and notice someone else behind Naruto. I walk over until I see who it is.
"Oh hey Sasuke." You say as you stand next to Naruto. Naruto jumps as he sees Sasuke directly behind him and gives him a weird expression. I look over back at the raven haired boy and see him putting his hands in his pockets, looking the other direction.
"Im sorry for hitting your face." He boringly says. His face was still in the other direction so I couldn't hear him clearly. I put my hand on his chin and turn his head towards me. He looks at me surprised and with sweat dripping from the sides of his face.
"Hm? Say that again I couldn't really hear you."
"I- uh.." He slaps my hand away from his chin, "I said I was sorry about your face ok? Jeez you both are such losers." He states with a look of agitation. He then simply turns around walking away from me and Naruto. I ignore his comment and walk with Naruto back home. We eat dinner which of course was ramen. I get changed and drift off the sleep, nervous about the next day.

•𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝚍𝚊𝚢•
I wake up to the sound of birds this time of round. I do my routine as I get up to rub my eyes and yawn. I take my clock to look at the time.

I close my eyes as my face began to heat up. I could feel a burst of anger rising within me but guess what...I didn't care
'He.Forgot.To.Wake.Me.Up.Again.' I say to myself. With that I yell without thought.
"NAARRRUUUUTTTOOOOOO!!!!!"
Naruto bursts in fully clothed and ready to go. I look at him agitated and he sits there quiet and still. He looks like a piece of paper as he sweats from head to toe.
"ahahaaaa...Y/N..forgot to wake you up...funny things is-"
"OOOH SAVE IT!!" I snapped before once again rushing to complete my morning routine of getting ready. I smack Naruto upside his head before we sprint for the academy. WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO MEEEE AND ON THE DAY OF OUR EXAMS!!! UGH NARUTO YOU IDIOT.
We make it right before the bell had rung and thankfully and as always, Iruka Sensei was the only one absent in the room. I could barely walk after the running but Naruto seems to somehow always burst with energy and he eagerly walks to his seat. Hinata runs over to me to ask if I am alright and I tell her about this morning as she helps me to my seat.
"Oh my Y/N...W-well I guess but it isnt his...fault..." She says in a shy tone. You know she likes Naruto since she is the only one to have told you. You know how to keep a secret so you vowed to never tell him unless it was a life or death situation. Me and Hinata continue small talk until Sakura and Ino rush in doing what they always do in the morning. Fight over Sasuke.
"Sakura! Ino! Since you both want to sit next to Sasuke then I guess you both won't be doing that today!"
Everyone turns their heads as Iruka Sensei enters the class. He always seems to come AFTER everything goes down but today he came right on time. He thinks for a second before looking at me. I point a finger at myself as if asking if he was actually looking at me or not. I look around and look back at him nodding his head. Awe great.
"Y/N, why don't you sit next to Sasuke today? Won't hurt since today is the last day anyways. Sakura you sit next to Hinata and Inu, next to Naruto. I do not want ANY complaints."
With that, everybody shuffled as I got up and walked over to Sasuke's desk. I sit next to him but cautious not to get too close since he seems to be thinking hard on something. He opens is eyes to look at me. I look back, rolling my eyes and facing the teacher.
"Hn" He states, facing the teacher as well.
"Today is the Final Exam everyone! Be ready when we call your name and you will leave the classroom so we can see you. Make ONE or MANY clones in order to be able to pass, afterwards you will receive one of these." Iruka Sensei finishes, pointing towards his forehead at his bandana. I was so excited for the exams but also nervous. I look at Naruto and I can see as well how scared and nervous he is.
I nervously wait until my name is called.
"Y/N! You're next!"
You slowly get up from your chair and walk towards the door.
"Good luck...loser"
I turn around to face Sasuke, but he seems to be back to closing his eyes and minding his own business. I smiled telling him my thanks before leaving the class to where Iruka Sensai is.
"Hello Y/N, just make a clone." He says, smiling at me. I bring in a bucket of water and Iruka Sensei seems to raise an eyebrow at me. I smile back and close my eyes focusing on my chakra.
I move my hands and focus hard.
"Water style: Water Clone Jutsu!"
The water from the bucket begins to move as they shape into two clones of myself. I open my eyes and look at well...myself. I smile and look at my Sensei.
He seems generally surprised and starts to clap.
"How do you know how to do that Y/N?"
"I have been practicing for a couple weeks now and barely mastered it a couple days ago. thought I would use this instead to pass." I respond, hoping that making water clones was just as good as regular ones. He asks me to do a regular clone anyway just to see if I mastered it and so I do. I make several clones and he smiles at me.
"Good job Y/N! You definitely pass!"
I jump in the air and run over to collect my Bandana. I put it in my hair and proudly walk out of the room and outside to the front of the school. I see everybody....except for Naruto. I look around until my eyes rest upon him on a swing...all alone. I run over to him and ask him if he passed. He said he didn't.
"It's ok just master it today and go to Iruka Sensei in the morning! I'm sure he will pass you!" You cheerfully say to him while giving him a big hug. He giggles and hugs back.
"You're right Y/N! I must not give up!"
He runs back home and I smile and wave him goodbye. I walk back over to the group until we have to disperse back home.
"Hey...Y/N"
"Yes, Sasuke?" I stand and turn around to face him. He of course, has his hands in his pockets and turns his head to your face. He narrows his eyes.
"Want me to walk you home?" He asks.
"Uhh you seem uninterested Sasuke, don't know if you actually mean it or not." I reply, puffing my cheeks at him. He eyes go a little wide seeing my reaction and looks the other way.
"Well I'm just asking, it isn't like you have to say yes. So pick one loser"
"Sure, come on."
As you and Sasuke walked to your house it was pretty quiet. He didn't bother to talk to you so you decided to break the awkward silence.
"So...You passed?" He nodded.
"Well are you excited about being a Genin? You know, to fight and protect our village?"
"Hn."
I dropped my smile and cross my arms, sighing to myself. Gosh he is stubborn. We finally reach my house. We both stop walking and I thank him for walking me home to which he just looks at me and turns around to walk back. I again sigh to myself and enter the building.
"NARUTO IM HOME" I announce but don't get a response. Hm maybe he is out training? Maybe...I will just make him some ramen and get ready for bed. I cook up Naruto some ramen and I make myself some white rice. I finish eating and look at the clock in my bedroom.

"He isn't home yet..." I whisper to no one is particular. You guess he is just training really hard and that he will be home by morning. So you change and get ready for bed.
