Lara's POV
I don't know how long I've been here. I
can only hope that Alannah is okay. She has been my constant thought whilst being here. Along with the rare thought of Jax.
Gio comes down here multiple times a day to check on me and what not.
I feel constant anxiety whilst being down here. Multiple people have tried to come down here to harm me but either Gio or Mr Ricci gets down here after a punch or two.
My head and stomach are extremely sore. The amount of hits I've taken to the head and to the stomach is horrendous.
If I had known dating Jax would end this was I never would have got involved with him.
I haven't spoken to Jax since I first got here and I'm a bit sad that he hasn't apologised.
How do you go about someone being your whole world to nothing in a matter or minutes? Because this hurts.
Not only do I have a constant ache in my head and stomach but in my heart too. It hurts that he didn't believe and hasn't done anything to get me out of here.
I'm still scared about the whole mafia thing. I knew ish of mafias and what not. But I never learnt it from my dad. It was in my history lessons and what not. I didn't think they were around anymore.
To think my dad and well now ex-boyfriend are mobsters scares me. It's been living under my nose for years and never once have I noticed or thought about the possibility.
I hope it hasn't been Christmas yet. The thought of not being with Alannah on Christmas breaks my heart.
I would do anything to be chilling watching Christmas films with Alannah whilst drinking hot chocolate right now. Instead I'm sat in a basement chained to a wall waiting. For what? Well I don't know either. Whereas Alannah is probably in Nicole's arms sobbing her heart out.
The image in my head was not a good one and my heart felt so heavy at this very moment.
It's always so cold in here. I've been in Gio's hoodie and I have a blanket but I'm just still so cold. I will never complain about being cold again.
Being down here as really made me think about everything. If I don't die in here I promise myself that I will never put myself through the pain of being Jax Ricci's anything ever again.
This is too much pain and I don't want to experience something along the lines of this ever again.
"Lara!" Someone shouts and I look up from my feet to see Gio crouching down beside me.
"What's up?" I ask wiping away a tear.
"We have a meeting scheduled with your dad later." He says and I nod.
"Okay." I say.
"Uh in the meeting no ones going to be kind towards you because they need to sort this out." He tells me.
"Okay." I say and look back down to my feet.
"Are you hungry? You've hardly eaten since you've been here." He says.
"I'm okay Gio." I say and he nods.
I haven't really eaten since I've been her because of how badly anxious I've been. Any time I eat I automatically feel sick because of the sharp pain in my stomach.
"Your bruising is getting worse." He points out and I sigh.
"Do you want anything for the pain?" He asks and I shake my head no.
"If your lucky you'll be out of here tonight." He says and I smile slightly. Home. Alannah.
"I think I should get you something for the pain." He says but I don't answer him.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand why everyone has been coming down here to try and hurt you." Be says and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Its okay Gio, it isn't your fault." I say and he shakes his head in defeat.

"Lara." Gio says waking me up.
My eyes snap open and he helps me up off of the floor. I stand up and instantly fall because of how weak I've become.
"Okay come on." He says picking me up bridal style and carrying me out of there.
Oh this is pathetic.
As Gio carried me out of the basement a bunch of men started to cat call me.
"Jax is a lucky one"
"How is she still so hot after being locked in the basement for days?"
"I'd like to tap that."
They are just a few of the things that were said.
"Just ignore them they're just a bunch of horny immature men." Gio says.
We walk into an office like set up and Gio gently places me in a chair.
I wince in pain as I sit up properly.
"You alright?" Gio asks and I nod and hold on to my stomach.
Mr Ricci, Alessandro and Jax walk in and sit down.
"Lara are you okay you look like your going to faint?" Alessandro asks.
"I'm fine." I say smiling softly. I'm not.
"You don't look it." Jax mumbled next to me.
"Thank you captain obvious." I say rolling my eyes.
A knock on the office door makes me jump.
"Come in." Mr Ricci shouts causing me to hold my head in pain.
"Dad." Jax says in a concerning voice.
A man puts a bunch of chains on the table causing me to sigh.
"How the hell is she gonna put them on? I had to carry her here. She isn't strong enough." Gio says I take my head out my hands.
"I'll be fine." I say glancing at Gio. No I won't.
Gio helps me stand and then him and Jax put the chains on me. They started off around my ankles and then around the part that's just on top of my knees.
Gio then put the chains around my stomach. I wince in pain which got Jaxs attention.
"You're hurting her." He says grabbing onto Gio's wrist. "
I know, it's how it has to be." Gio looks at me with sympathy. "
Its fine." I say and he nods and continues.
I bite down on my lip to keep me from showing I'm in pain. Gio gets a roll of duck tape and puts some over my mouth.
Gio holds me up mainly because any minute my legs could buckle from underneath me. I wasn't going to be involved in the facetime call right now.
"Right here we go." Mr Ricci says once his laptop starts ringing.
"This best be some sick joke." I hear my dad say. That was enough for me to start crying.
I was just hoping that they mixed me up and I wasn't the girl they wanted.
"Unfortunately it isn't." Mr Ricci says and signals to Gio.
Gio forcefully drags me so I stand behind Alessandro. He rips off the duck tape and I stare at the screen in disbelief.
"Dad?" I say in almost a whisper.
"Shit." He curses then scratches the back of his neck.
"What do you want?" Another man says.
He seems familiar but I can't remember where from.
"Its quite simple really, all you have to do is pay us the amount of money you stole from us. Also stop stealing from our shipments." Mr Ricci says.
"How did you find out about her?" Dad asks.
"She's s your little spy, we're a higher rank then you guys. Were not stupid." Jax says and I look around confused.
"What the hell are you talking about I've been trying to get a hold of Lara for months and never once has she answered." Dad says and I wipe away a tear as quick as it comes.
"I thought it was mom." I admit trying to stop myself from crying.
"Lara listen to me." My dads voice sounds out.
"I'm going to set a deal with the Riccis and then I'm coming to get you okay?" He questions and I look at the floor.
"What day is it?" I ask shyly.
"21st." Jax says from one side of me.
Thank god.
"Wait till after christmas. I want Alannah to spend it with the Miller's as well." I say and furrows his eyebrows.
"Who's Alannah?" He asks and I go to answer but Mr Ricci cuts me off.
"We're not here for a family reunion we're here for business." He says and dad smiles and me sympathetically.
I didn't listen for the rest of the meeting. I just stared at the three men on the screen. My dad and 2 other men. One who looks around my age then one who looks about my dads age.
I've been here for 6 days, I can't imagine how Alannah is feeling. Shes going to kill me for leaving her for so long. I can't even believe my dad doesn't know who Alannah is.
My legs buckle from underneath me. Just before I hit the floor Jax grabs my waist.
"I've got you." He says. Hs sits me in a chair and takes the chains off me.
"Stay." He orders at me like I'm so dog.
Theres no way in hell I'm walking out of here without someone by my side anyway. I roll my eyes and then put my head in my hands.
"Come on I'm going to drop you home." Gio says taking my hands of my face.
"I'm going home?" I question and he nods.
Home.
Yes!
"Oh my God, let's go?" I say standing up but collapse straight away.
"Be careful." Gio says as Jax catches me and picks me up.
"Let's go." He says carrying me bridal style out of there.
I try my hardest to get out of the car and run up to the house but it didn't work.
I walk up to the door extremely slow with the help of Gio. I knock on the door and lean my head against Gio's shoulder.
David opens the door and I can already hear Alannah crying.
"Oh my god." David says and takes me away from Gio.
"Be careful." Jax warns him as my legs start to buckle.
"What's wrong with her?" He asks when Gio picks me up.
"She hasnt eaten properly in a couple of days she just needs to eat." Jax says.
"This is the exact reason I didn't want you to get involved with her Jax." David says taking me out of Gio's arms.
Wait! David knew?
"Wait I need to say thank you." I say turning my head to Gio.
"Thank you for taking care of me and being a good friend." I say and he nods.
"Of course." He says smiling sympathetically.
"Jax." I whisper and he looks at me stunned.
"Thank you for loving me for the time you did." I say and my eyes close.

I wake up in my bed. I was no longer in the clothes I had been in for six days. I quickly sit up and a hand holds mine.
"You're safe." Nicole says and I nod and take a breath of relief.
I look around at the all to familiar bedroom.
I'm home now. Safe.
"I'm going to get something to eat and get Alannah okay?" She says and I nod.
I lean against the headboard and wait for Alannah and Nicole to come back.
Alannah runs in and stares at me in disbelief.
"I've missed you." I say opening my arms.
She breaks down crying and I get out of bed and walk over to her.
"Hey hey it's okay." I say kneeling infront of her. I pull her into a hug and let her break down in my arms.
"You took ages." She says inbetween cries.
"I know and I'm so sorry bub." I say rubbing my hand up and down her back in a calming manner.
"I thought you left me." She says while I attempt to calm her down.
"Never." I whisper in her ear.
We move onto the bed when Nicole brings in some food.
"You need to eat." She says and I nod.
Alannah moves from my chest and rests her head on my lap whilst I eat some food.
"James has been trying to get the earliest flight back but they won't let him. So he's coming home tomorrow like planned." She says and I nod.
"You girls should get some sleep. It's been a long week." Nicole says and takes my plate.
She switches the light off and I cuddle with Alannah.
"I'm never going to leave you again." I whisper kissing her forehead and she moves closer to me and it doesn't take long till we fall to sleep.
