Dhruv's pov
Just like another day i came back from office at 9 . My family was waiting for me sitting in the hall.
I went towards my room , freshened up and went downstairs to join my family for dinner.
We had our dinner with some casual talk and random jokes. After dinner we were having our family time when mom said about her store's renovation.
Sakshi(Dhruv's mom)-
"I asked you about renovation of my store and designer for it.. right??"
"Yaa i have found some great designers.... Will give you all their details by tomorrow.."
My dad said.
"Cancel them all... " My mom said in final tone.
"But why?? You asked for a designer and now you are rejecting them all without even looking at their tenders"
My dad said a bit confused.
"I said this because I have found a perfect designer for my store renovation. One of my friends suggested her name. I contacted firm in which she is team head and asked him to tell her to handle my project personally. The head of the firm was one of our family friend. So he agreed easily..."
She said with satisfaction.
"Ohh.. okay..
If you say so??
By the way who is this designer and when the work of the store is starting"
My father asked her.
"Her name is Dhriti.
As far as i have heard she is currently one of the best designers of India and she has achieved huge success at young age with her hard work.
Her PA contacted me in the afternoon. We have meeting tomorrow at my store. "
My mother replied smilingly.
Dhriti... Nice name 😉💞
I would definitely love to meet this gorgeous girl with gorgeous name.
But before that i have to find my angry bird...
Next morning
Dhriti's pov
I made final check on all the files and documents which i need to carry for the meeting.
As per my head's order i have arranged a bouquet of purple and white lilies . Me and my PA went towards my car and we started towards SS fashion store for our meeting.
We reached their store in about 20 min. I gave a last look at documents and my face then entered the store with my PA following me.
Meeting was going to start at 9.
We were 10-15 min. earlier so i thought to check on present design of the store. I was checking details when i heard a soft voice from my back
"Beta... Are you Dhriti??"
I turned and saw a lady clad in simple yet stunning and elegant saree with a polite smile on her face.
"Hello beta...
I am Sakshi Sharma, owner of this store.
And i am sure you are Dhriti, the famous interior designer right??"
"Yes mam... Its me Dhriti and this is my PA Stella"
"I have heard a lot about you...
You are very punctual too. You reached before time.
I welcome you both to SS fashion house."
"Thank you so much.. We thought to check on present designs and location of the store..
So thought to come earlier.
Now since you are also here..
Should we start the meeting ??"
"Sorry beta...
But you have to wait. Actually my daughter Radhika is not here yet. She handles this store. So we have to wait for her."
"Sure mam.. no worries.."
I said with a smile.
She took us to her cabin and ordered something for us and started giving us a brief idea about her store.
One thing about this lady is she is really polite and a very warm and comfortable vibes come from her.
We were discussing something when a lady in her 30s or late 20s arrived in the huffing in annoyance.
"What happened Radz..
Why are you angry?? "
Mrs. Sakshi Sharma asked that lady.
Oh so she is that daughter of hers.
"Nothing maa... Just usual drama..
This son and father duo is going to make me insane one day for sure"
She said in annoyed tone.
Sakshi mam eyed to us making her aware about our presence.
Her daughter turned to us and smiled looking at us.
"Hello... I am Radhika Sharma Arora..
I assist maa i mean Mrs. Sakshi Sharma in handling this store.....
I am really sorry you both have to wait..
Actually my two babies- one my husband and other my son were showing their tantrums which my mother in law was not able to handle alone.
So i got late....
Sorry for making you wait.."
She said in annoyed tone while Sakshi mam and my PA Stella giggled at her.
I eyed Stella making her stop giggling and gave a polite smile to Radhika mam.
"No worries mam..
It's alright....
You don't need to be sorry."
She sat on chair beside her mother and we started discussing about their store renovation.
I presented some rough designs and examples of clothing stores.
After an hour we shook hands with them and decided to start their work next week.
I came back to my office thinking about the meeting. Both ladies were really polite and genuine without any ounce of attitude in them. They were so kind in nature and treated us like family.
Third person's pov
Mrs. Sharma after dropping her daughter to her home reached Sharma Mansion.
The whole family was sitting in hall.
Men were busy in watching cricket while her daughter in law was making their princess drink milk.
She was surprised to see her younger son home at this time because usually he would came late from office.
She reached in the hall. Everyone smiled at her. Her granddaughter Kaira ran to her and hugged her tightly. Dhruv offered her water and then sat on the floor with his head on her mother's lap.
Sakshi caressed his head lovingly and with one hand kept side hugging her granddaughter.
"So how was your meeting?"
Mr. Sharma asked his wife.
"It went well. We have finalized designs. The work will start from next week.....
You know the designer which I was talking about, Dhriti..
She was really kind and polite.. she was so much perfect in her work and explaining to her clients...
She have a great respect for elders..
I must say
But there was something hidden in her eyes.."
Mrs. Sharma said in confusion.
"Maa... You met her for first time... How do you know that there is something hidden..."
Dhruv's elder brother Danish said.
"Yes maa... It may be possible that you misunderstood or maybe she would be having a foul day.."
Danish's wife Surbhi spoke.
"No beta... I am mom of three kids, mother in law of 2 and also grandmother of two cuties...
I can't be wrong...
May be what you said is right but there was something hidden in her eyes for sure..."
Mrs Sakshi said in final tone.
A Week Later
Its been 2 days renovation of store has been started. Dhriti personally visits store to supervise the work there twice a day.
Mrs. Sharma was there in case any help is needed whereas Radhika had gone for some fashion event in Mumbai. So it increased the work of her mother.
Today due to some urgent work Dhruv's mother and father had to travel out of town for 3 days.
Mrs. Sharma thought to ask her sons and daughter in law to visit store once in day to check on the work.
"Surbhi, Danish, Dhruv....."
The three came down to hall looking at their parents with travelling bag.
"Mom Dad , you going somewhere??"
Danish asked in confusion.
"Yaa maa what happened? Where are you and paa going suddenly??"
Dhruv asked in bit confused and worried tone.
Dhruv's pov
I was confused as well as worried to see maa and papa standing in the hall all ready along with a travelling bag all of sudden in the morning.
Me and bhai asked them about the same.
"Are.. baccha wo actually your uncle got into an accident...
He has been hospitalised..
So we have to go to make a check on him.."
Dad said in bit worried tone.
"Surbhi, Danish, Dhruv can you people go to store to check the renovation work at least once a day..
I trust Dhriti with the work but since Radhika is also not here so someone need to go there in case any help is required... "
Maa asked us.
"Mom don't worry... We three will go once a day in separate times.. okay..
It will be more helpful."
I said assuring her....
She hugged us and departed for the airport along with dad.
We three decided that Bhabhi will go there in morning, bhai will go in afternoon and i will go in the evening.
In the evening around 7 after winding up my work for the day i went towards mom's store.
I entered the store and saw workers working there.
A girl was supervising them with the work. I guess she is the girl maa was taling about, Dhriti.
But why she is not turning, i have been standing near the gate for approx 5 min but she is in mid of the store with her back towards me.
I remembered forgetting my phone in the car itself. I turned to go outside to bring my phone when all of sudden a girl bumped with me , making her fall down.
Before that can happen i placed my hands around her waist in order to support her. I looked at her face.
She has closed her eyes waiting for her body to land on the ground.
But it never happened. She opened her left eye to look at surroundings and found herself in my arms.
She opened her eye also and came out of my arms.
Dhriti's pov
I was waiting for my body to land on ground but it never happened.
But wait how can i automatically stop mid in the air.
What happened to earth's gravitational force 🤔😶
I opened my left eye first and found myself in someone's arms. I opened my other eye also and dragged myself away from him.
I looked at my phone which was landing on the ground.
I turned towards that idiot
"Can't you walk properly with your open eyes....."
"Oh madam.. It was you who was not walking with open eyes.. Practically you were but your eyes were on your phone..."
He said with a smirk😏
Urghhh. Nerve of this guy.
"You were walking with open eyes na.. you could have called me or yourself changed your path.."
"Madam as far as i know this store has only one main gate.. the other gate is for emergency purposes..
So for going out normally people use this gate only.."
"Waise bhi bade-bade shehro mein chotti-chotti baatein hoti rehti hai..
Senorita "
He said winking at me 😉😏
I glared at him making him raising his hands in surrender and looked at my team looking at us.
"What?? Is this some kind of show going on....
Do your work.."
They carried on their work.
He thought for few seconds then brought his hand forward
"Hii..
I am Dhruv and you must be Dhriti.."
I ignored his forwarded hand and murmured "Hii.."
"I don't know whether you noticed ot or not but i am sure we have some connection...
Look god himself made you fall for me and i caught his signal 😉"
His smirk never leaving his face.
"Typical Bollywood scene.... Right??
Do you think it's romantic??
Maybe for you Yes..
But for me its not...
It's cliche.."
I spoke looking at him.
"So you leave from here and let me concentrate on my work..
As far as i know your working hours are also over..
So you better leave..."
I spoke with forced smile and went inside the store.
