I gotta be honest, I liked this idea! Hatstache is one of my few favourite crack ships of A Hat in Time (besides Discotrain and Snatchmoon-) but don't hate me for my opinion, please!

Eventually, it all came to an end.
Mustache Girl skidded across the throne room's floor, clothing disheveled and a part of her cape torn. She was knocked down. The time pieces that were once scattered into a hill began collecting itself, turning into a glowing packed ball right after.
Everybody else had created a suicide pact to "help" Hat Kid, leaving only her and Mustache Girl in the throne room. In fact, on the entire planet itself. But she knew she was going to be fine! When she rewinds time, everyone will come back and everyone will have a happy ending!
Everyone but Mustache Girl.
Hat Kid looked at her limp body. Luckily, she wasn't dead yet. She was twitching a little, breathing so softly. But then she noticed the shadow casting over her, lifting her head to Hat Kid and... began crying.
She felt so guilty for herself. She failed them. She failed to avenge the people of her hometown from the bad guys. Now everybody hates her. Everyone wanted her to get lost. Nobody wanted nor loved her.
NOBODY-

"Hello?"
The innocent voice echoed throughout the empty throne room, causing Mustache Girl to look up at Hat Kid, holding suspicion in her face as she leaned in a little closer to Mustache Girl, causing her to whimper from humiliation and from pain, covering her face from Hat Kid's stare.

"G-go away... Just go..."
She continued to cry, sobbing and curling up into a ball on the floor. She's never experienced guilt. At least not an excessive amount. Now, looking at it in this angle, it hurts. So, so much.
Hat Kid bent down, looking at her face to face and reaching her hand out, tapping her nose with a playful "boop" coming out of her until she reached her arms out to her to carry her up from the floor into a hug.

"A-ah...?"
It was like her whole body froze. Her hands couldn't bare move from the hug. She felt so guilty for what she did! Everybody must've hated her! So why is she hugging her?!
Why did it felt so... wrong?
She didn't want to hug back. She felt like she didn't deserve it. Her arms didn't gave into the hug but instead went in front of her to push Hat Kid away. Even by just the look on her face, she looked so messed up.

"I-I said go away!"
She backed away from Hat Kid, her face holding fear. She tried to scan for any escape routes- the door, the window, maybe even the trapdoor but nothing. She was just stuck here with a ball of time pieces and a kid with an oversized top hat.
Hat Kid grabbed her hand, guiding her to the time pieces but her legs stopped her. She feared going near those things. She almost killed Hat Kid with them. Now, seeing her reflection on the ball of time pieces was like a lemon on a wound. She saw the monster she was and it hurt her, making her try and slip her hand out of Hat Kid's grasp. But the kid had beaten her so bad she didn't have the strength to and looked down instead.
She didn't realize it but Hat Kid had grabbed the ball of time pieces with one hand. One. Hand. How was she so strong?! And she was even strong enough to slam those time pieces down onto the floor. But before she could react, time seemed to stop, then it rewinded.

There they were, back at the spaceship with time pieces scattered everywhere. Everything was the way it was. Mustache Girl was also with her, who passed out by the shock and fear of the time pieces. She looked tired, beaten and... sad. She should probably let her rest...
But when she went to do so, the ship's alarm had set off, blaring like an alarm clock in the morning.
"WARNING: SPACE DEBRIS HAS HIT THE SHIP."
That had repeated for a while. And when was there space debris around?! Something caught her at the corner of her eye, making her walk over to it with her face slightly annoyed.
Everyone was holding onto the ship in a line...

"Little hat girl! Where do you think you're going with that girl?!"
『Conductor』
"She peckin' tried to kill us lass! Why would you be with her?!"
A few more yells and refutations and Hat Kid had enough. Pulling her umbrella out in one swoop, she swung at them, forcing them to let go and float out to space and onto the planet below, then shutting the glass hatch and leaving it to be. She then looked back at Mustache Girl.
Carrying her as if she was an oversized teddy bear, she brought her over to her bedroom, where she plopped her down on the giant mound of pillows on the left and had left her there to rest. Yeah, she has to go home but... she can stay a little longer...

Mustache Girl had woken up and surprisingly comfy as well. Wait- where was she?! It looked like she was in some sort of... futuristic bedroom or something. Was this a spaceship?!
But when she was lost in thought, a pillow had bashed onto her face, making her fall back with a yell of surprise. Looking up, it was Hat Kid who threw it! She was giggling at her from afar, most likely teasing her.
Grabbing the pillow she had tossed at her, she threw it back, earning a similar reaction from Hat Kid that made her laugh.

"Hah! Got you back!"
Hat Kid had gotten another pillow from the mound of pillows, charging at her as Mustache Girl ran away, trying to get herself a pillow as well so that they could start a pillow fight.
Maybe this could clear her mind for now...
She had another chance to make friends and this time, she wasn't going to mess it up.
