"I'm so excited" Kylie snuggled up next to me as a bowl full of paper filled destinations that get to depict our annual family summer vacay
I put my fist in the air "Take me anywhere I'm legal to drink"
The whole family was sat around Lovey's living room. No boyfriends or friends or baby daddies (disregarding my dad and Scott because they've been ACTIVE in this family for decades) because we get to vote out of all three that gets picked out of the giant crystal ball and then we can invite the outside men who've been in our lives for quite some time
"Where the fuck is mom?" mom, the one with extreme OCD and badass anger issues that I admit I get from her, tired of waiting but I'm sure we all feel the same way
"I know, we've been like waiting forever" Kylie settled her head on my arm and snooped on my phone as I scrolled through it
"What is she doing? She called us here and the host isn't even present" Kourtney pitched in
"Is she even here?" Kim sat next to mom as she examined her outfit, whispering that her outfit was outstandingly one of her favorites
"Oh my god- MOM!" Kenny yelled from the corner of the room as Rob walked in with a hand on his chest acting as if we were waiting on him, I love this family and our foolish jokes
"I saw her pull up in the driveway" Rob added, laughing because she really had us come here when she wasn't even here to begin with, ah that's Lovey Kris Jenner for you!
We didn't even get to choose, Lovey decided we needed to have a family dinner, in the middle of the week and then we can choose after, where our fate will take us. Unexpected family dinners don't happen all too often, we'll either have a few to one siblings (mom's) over at whoever's house but I guess Lovey saw the chance and wanted it complete. Scott said we should've done it on Sunday because that was the designated and scheduled time we'd all see each other for most of the day
"Alright the oldest, the middle and the youngest get to choose" Lovey excitedly smiled, her cheekbones becoming more prominent while she tried to keep her alcohol from spilling over as she made her way toward the bowl
"Wait but don't open it yet, we have to do it all together" Lovey once insisted and did the math in her head and pointed at uncle Scott who looked terrified and confused at the the finger being pointed at him
I then picked up a piece of paper since Mason was out on a sleepover, I wanted to choose anyways! Sorry Mason Dash, I care about the destination more than you...
"I got Switzerland"
"Italy"
"Mauritius"
With those three countries I already knew what order I want them in, Switzerland, Mauritius and Italy all because we ALWAYS go to Italy. We were there for Ky's 22nd, for retail therapy, fashion show. Italy is like an overused pair of shoes, still such a wonderful and beautiful country, I've just been there one too many times.
"Mauritius? What the hell is that?" Scott pulled out his phone and googled
"It's a small Island country, literally just surrounded by a whole body of water" My geography knowledge is astounding, I'm acing every class and it shows
"I didn't even know that was a country" Dad looked at uncle Scott and everybody else, it's as if I was the only person who knew of this pretty country, where boats are common to own- not where here it's for the people with the big banks who own boats.
I chuckled
"I'm voting Swiss though, beautiful in the summer and the winter, okay actually I can't decide" I rethought answer before I'd contribute to the final answer, my answer leads to this family's fate too
At the end, the decision was met and it seems like we're going to Switzerland!
"I have to call Travis! He needs to get days off" Even when you're famous you need days off, because behind tours and appearances, there are deadlines you'd have to meet, magazines and people that want to interview you or collab with you or do photoshoots with you
"I'm just gonna text Ben, he's in Philly trying to find a new place for the season and it's like what 3am there?" Kenny spoke out of her plans
"Shit, let me call Devin right now too" I hesitantly got up the couch as my two aunts insinuated their plans in contacting their beaus
Mom cackled "My mans is right here, take notes ladies" She patted on dad's shoulder as she handed him a glass cup
I still could never figure out what to call auntie Kourt, for auntie Kim there's Kiki and godmother names, Kylie and Kendall are nearly the same age as me so that's not even needed because we said it's just weird since we're all so close in age, Kourtney? Kourt? I honestly don't even know but she joined in on the fun "Me too, look at us" she placed her legs on too of uncle Scott's legs as he just nodded, smiled and shrugged all at the same time
"Hey I invited Fai too is that okay with everyone?" Kenny rose her arms in the air and asked the room but looked at me
"Then can Stas come too? Actually wait she's in Hawaii on the 7th so never mind" Kylie scratched her head
"Yeah that's fine" Love assured but Kenny still looked right into my soul as I just gave her a slight nod
"Speak of the devil, he's here with donuts" I saw Fai waltz in from the foyer with a box of donuts in the shape of hearts
In the inside I'm rolling my eyes but on the outside I'm laughing at how convenient the timing really is "Oh really? Fai!" Kenny yelled and jumped up, hugging her best friend
Everyone else greeted Fai, I continued to call my boyfriend whom I want to join me in this family trip. My boyfriend.
"Hey Mr. Hot shot" I called as his face popped up on the tiny little screen of mine
He smiled "What's up my baby?"
I smiled and blushed, we've been dating for months and I still can't get over when he includes MY when it comes to talking about me- MY girl, MY baby
"Remember I told you about the family vacay?"
He nodded, paused his game and listened to me, and that's a MAN "Yeah, you guys are like picking where it's at tonight right? So where we going?" HE SAID WE
"Ah shit, baby WE out on the 7th of next month, Switzerland baby call me neutral" I was hyped and excited, even though it was a joke that he said we I insinuated that he's invited
"Oh shit for reals? So you're saying we're going foreign!"
"Baby you're off for that whole week, we're gonna go see some extravagant things"
"Let me tell my peoples, no questions just statements, that's how a real baller boy do it. I'm gonna have to need to go shopping now, baby I'm ready"
"Who's going?" He added and unpaused his game
"Uhm, the whole family as usual, Trav and Ben are coming for sure- they just confirmed a few minutes ago and uhm Fai too" He paused his game and stared at me through the phone, he knows what happened between Fai and I
I shrugged "I'm still going, and I'm going to make it LOUD" he emphasized, I laughed and said our goodbyes
Devin and Fai are civil but we all know if it weren't for the familial ties, they'd throw hands with each other and honestly if one of them says or does some petty stuff, it might just start a world war.
I turned to walk back to the living room where everyone else was but remembered the donuts with maple drizzled all over, I can't say no to that, it's my favorite!
"Hey hey" I greeted, placing my phone in my pocket and reaching for the donut that Fai had handed me, fresh and prepped
I smiled "How are you? I haven't talked to you in forever" Yes, Fai I know that
"And who's to blame? Sure as hell not me, but come on you know I'm always here I'm Sage" I nudged his elbow as I watched him nod and those green eyes met mine and I knew he had something in his heart that just needed to be said
"I love you, you know that?"
I blinked and tried not to choke on the donut that's halfway down my windpipe, I'm speechless.
"Like I know we didn't work out, maybe for a good reason but I just wanted to tell you that I love you and hurting you and shutting you out, out of nowhere -I- I deeply regret. Like I deadass love you Sage" His eyes stayed glued to mine, I just don't know how to react or respond to this
"I want you to pick me, I love you. If I could I'd drop down to one knee and ask you to marry me. It's fucking wrong yeah, but I want you, and I want you to pick me too."
"I'm with Devin, Fai....." I paused trying to find the right words to express what my thoughts are without screaming or being angry
"Fai, you can't make me choose when I've already had a choice in the beginning... I'm with somebody who gives me Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds type of love- Ya and Boog energy. You're a really really great friend and maybe that's where we fucked up. I hope this doesn't make you change your mind on going or hanging around me and my family, they love you and just because the feeling isn't mutual it doesn't mean we should cut it off completely." I paused once more
"Before the US there were was a really great friendship" I stood there and looked him in the eyes before I left because I can see Kylie freaking out by the stairs, trying so hard not to scream because this whole time she was there listening
