"Don't call a doctor! Just open the fucking door for me so I can bring her inside!"

The first thing Julia could hear once she became conscious again was Dom's loud voice, with in the background many more voices that were much more quiet than his. Everyone seemed to have gone nearly silent, which was much different from how it was before Julia collapsed.

"I'm going inside guys, I'm sorry. I'll meet you next time, okay?" Dom spoke. Even though he sounded stressed and he said it very rushed, it sounded meant. And everyone seemed to agree, as there was barely anyone who tried to argue.

Julia opened her eyes and looked right at Dom's face, who was carrying her with one arm under her legs and one under her head. Julia's head was resting against his chest, and she just now noticed his quickened heartbeat.

Dom noticed her open eyes only once they were inside and he looked down at her to check on her.

"Jules, baby."

So far Dom had been walking quickly to find a place to lay her down, but as soon as he saw her eyes opened he stopped walking and shifted all his attention to her.

"Are you alright? Can you hear me?"

Julia nodded as she smiled numbly, which made Dom smile as well and a little bit of concern left his face.

"You scared the fuck out of me baby."

He started walking again, but on a much slower tempo than he first did, because he knew she was okay.

"I'm sorry," Julia breathed out as an answer to what he told her, but he quickly shook his head.

"Don't be."

Soon enough they entered a dressing room, and Dom gently laid her down on a white, somewhat small couch in the corner of the room. He sat down on the edge, reaching out to run his hands through her hair.

"I have never been so anxious in my entire life," he told her, confirming exactly what Julia had been thinking all night. "I thought Benjamin just fucking-"

He breathed out, a shaky breath, and stopped moving his hands for a while. Julia pushed herself up a little so her head would bump against his hands and he would go on.

"My mom took away my phone. Sofia accidentally told her dad about you," she told Dom, and even though the entire situation was messed up and she had no idea how it would end, she couldn't help but chuckle while she was thinking about how her little step sister had reacted as if the world was ending because of her.

"So your mom knows I-"

"That you came over, yes," Julia nodded, and she heard how Dom shortly blew air out of his nose. She didn't know if it was because he didn't know how to respond or he was laughing too, but she smiled lightly.

"So I sneaked out of the house to still see you but I couldn't text you."

Dom sighed in response. "You didn't have to- Your mom is probably worried as hell right now."

"I just didn't want you to be anxious or to think I hated you," Julia told him, her voice small. Dom's hands moved away from her hair and in the corner of her eye she could see him jumping off the edge of the couch to push her body back a little so he could lay next to her.

Even though it was small, it fit, and he pushed his body against hers and buried his face in the crook of her neck, just so she could rest her chin on his head. He was a bit sweaty still, from the show he had done, but Julia didn't care and held her arms around him tightly.

They both were silent for a minute, but it was comfortable. It had been a hard night for them both in their own ways: Julia could still feel the tears on her cheeks from the way she had been crying before she passed out. Dom's heartbeat was still quicker than normal, probably from the anxiety he had felt all night.

"I'm not really planning on going home tonight, but I don't know if I-"

"Are you joking?" Dom cut her off before she could even say what she wanted to, "of course I'll let you sleep at my house, dummy."

Julia giggled and rested her head on his. "Okay."

It didn't take long until Dom sat up again and moved his slightly wet hair out of his face so he could look down at Julia.

"I left everyone who was standing outside to meet me. I feel fucking guilty."

He was playing with Julia's t shirt and by the way he didn't really make eye contact with her anymore she could tell he was genuinely feeling sorry.

"It's alright honey. They get it," she told him soothingly as she laid her hand on his. "They might think I'm a random fan you just took inside, though."

Dom could laugh at that, making Julia's stomach turn as it always did, and he eventually locked eyes with her again.

"Aren't you just a fan?"

Julia played offended but couldn't help but laugh. She pushed him off the couch, causing him to stumble before falling on his bum, making him gasp. It was a low couch, though, so she knew he wasn't actually hurt.

"Shut up," Julia added, crossing her arms over her chest as she slowly sat up. She could still feel a headache, and she couldn't really figure out whether it was from the crying or from the fall earlier. She didn't even really know how she fell to the ground.

"I dedicated hope for the underrated youth to you tonight, my biggest fan, but you didn't even bother to come," Dom joked but playing all serious and mad.

Instead of laughing at his joke Julia softened her expression immediately and held her hands out to help him up. "You did?"

"Yeah," he nodded, doing the shy smile he tended to do at times. He grabbed Julia's hands and let her pull him back on the couch.

"You're so fucking cute."

Julia kissed his hair and she wanted to wrap his arms around his body again, but Dom was quicker to do the same to her and he pressed her head to his chest.

"And you're fucking crazy for sneaking out to see you but I lo-"

He cut off as he realized that what he was going to say was a bit early still. Even though they had known each other for years now. He wasn't her boyfriend anymore, or yet.

-

It had taken Julia a while before she fell asleep once they had arrived at Dom's house. She was tired, obviously, but the fact that her mom didn't know where she was at the moment and couldn't reach her worried her a lot more than she thought it would. Even though she was mad at her.

So because she fell asleep early in the morning, she woke up past noon and Dom's king size bed was empty on the right side, which wasn't too surprising.

She could hear him play piano in the living room, though, and soon enough she realized it was Waiting on the weekend.

She loved waking up like this. It always made her feel calm and happy and it would've done the same now if she wouldn't worry about her mom that much.

Staying at Dom's house for as long as she wanted had looked like a good plan the day before, but now all she wanted was to make sure her mom wasn't going to let the police search for her.

Julia got out of bed and tiptoed to the living room, where his piano was standing. She just watched Dom play, knowing he would stop immediately if he'd hear her. Only when he was done, she clapped shortly and joked "I didn't know you could play".

Dom jumped hearing her voice and he turned around within a second. "Fuck, Julia."

She smiled and slowly walked over to him, seeing him starting to smile as well as he stretched his arms to hug her.

"Did I wake you up?" he asked worriedly when Julia sat down next to him and he had his arm around her waist, kissing the side of her head.

She shook her head. "But if you did it'd be fine because it's basically evening already."

She was looking down at the keyboard while Dom was obviously staring at her face from the side. He brushed her hair behind her ear and held his thumb on her cheekbone to stroke it gently.

"I just noticed that you had trouble falling asleep so I didn't wanna wake you up."

She now turned her head to look at him. "That's sweet honey. I just... I'm worried about my mom. It's stupid but I... she's probably worried about me."

"It's not stupid," he argued, smiling as he tapped her nose with his pointer finger. "She is worried probably and you can worry about that, no matter how angry you are."

Julia nodded and just shrugged. She didn't want to go home just yet, though. If her mom would start making actual rules there would be a chance she wouldn't see Dom for weeks.

"I bought you something, though. And it arrived while you were sleeping," Dom broke her thoughts, sounding all excited. He let her go and got off the seat to walk over to the other side of the living room.

He came back with a perfectly wrapped box. He wrapped it himself; Julia recognized the paper from months ago.

"It's not my birthday," Julia told him, frowning as she looked at the present.

"I know," he nodded, "but it doesn't have to be."

He pressed the box in her hands, staring at it until she moved it over to open the wrapping paper. By his smile she could tell it was something great. And she found that out a few moments later.

"Dom fuck off," Julia told him once she saw what it was, looking at him with a dead serious look.

"You like it?" he asked, biting his lip trying to suppress his smile.

"Fuck off I can't take this from you," Julia told him, wanting to hand the box back to Dom. He gently pushed it back to her.

"You can. You needed a new one baby, your screen was all cracked anyway."

"You can't just fucking buy me a new phone Dom! That's fucking expensive! You can't-"

"It's okay," he told her, "really. You deserved a new one."

Julia pouted and laid the box down next to her only to get up and wrap her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. His arms first perfectly around her waist, hugging her back, and she refused to let go.

"Why would you do that?" she whispered to him, hearing him chuckle before he kissed her head yet again.

"Just because."

"You're fucking insane."

"I don't like myself either," Dom joked and Julia pulled away shortly to argue with him, but he was quick to pull her back and lift her up a little as he continued hugging her.

"I do fucking like you," Julia said.
