2 Days later
"Hey did you check the news" entered Jimin hyung
"What?"
"Just open the TV"
I switched on the TV and there it was
"What?KATE CARTER IS DEAD" my eyes practically bulged out of my eye sockets as I saw what came on the news.
"Yeah" he said as he bit his lip
"Damn we got careless again!"
I dialled a familiar number
"Hello?" I heard her say on the other side of the phone
"Yea it's me."
"What'a up jungkook , I am in a middle of celebration , why are you calling" she sounded annoyed..
"Y/n ... we caught the wrong person." I spoke
"Huh?!"

"But how is it possible jungkook!" Y/n spoke as she restlessly walked around the room.
"I mean we heard him saying that he killed her right?!"
"Yea but it's been just 2 days and now we have another dead body of an Actress , not to forget who was previously also a suspect for the murder case of Nina Ryans."
"Maybe it's not murder"
"It's confirmed , she was found in a pool of blood in her bedroom , seems like she was murdered with a knife."
"Then there must be fingerprints—."
"They checked it , no fingerprints were found , the killer most likely wore gloves while killing her."
"Maybe its—."
"No it's not a suicide , the police didn't find any kind of suicide letter." I stated as I dwelled upon all the possibilities that came in my mind.
"Oh God , what about that director then? Should we set him free?"
"No! Not yet."
"First we need to go and check about certain someone's background"

"I always doubted him." Y/n spoke
"Go home and wear something fancy!" I said in an instant as an idea came into my mind .
"Huh but why?"
"We are going to a club and I need your help , I cant do it without you." I looked in her eyes as I saw a glimpse of fondness in them..... for me??
"But—."
And then without her speaking further , I held her arm and pulled her close , embracing her..
"J-jungkook."
"Ssh , let's stay like this for a while." I tightened my embrace as I felt her loosening under my grip.
"Y-yeah." I could sense her smiling ..

"Are you sure jungkook , he is going to be there."
"I am 100% sure." I said as I brought my car to a halt in front of the same club where Nina Ryans was murdered.
This was the first thing any of us had spoken since that time ...
Brain: you mean the time when you hugged her
Me: -
Brain: hahah , I thought you were never going to fall in love
Me : I never said I am in love
Brain:Kekeke .. sure sure I believe you
Me: yahh!
Leaving my mind , I decided to answer her ...
"I am sure he is gonna be celebrating here."
We both got out of the car as we made our way to the club.
"Let's split up."
"No! We can't , it may be dangerous, let's work together alright." I smiled
"What's with you today huh?" She teased raising her eyebrow
"First that hug and —."
I shut her up by placing my hand on her lips ..
"Shh." I said in a low voice .
I would be lying If I say I wasn't flustered , I was , my heart was beating unexceptionally fast with whatever I did before and whatever I was doing now..
Too close jungkook too close ....
Brain : yah! You are the one to complain?
Me; what do you mean
Brain : isn't that's what you have been doing uptil now ? Catching her off guard by your so called "close proximity" I thought you were used to it
Me: then why is my heart
Heart: beating fast? Cuz you are in love
Me: I told you I ll never be in love
"Mhm mhm"
Leaving my mind and my heart in conflict , I looked back to what I was doing , my hand was still on her mouth.
"Oh yea sorry" I rubbed the back of my neck
"Let's find him." To which she nodded
It wasn't too long before we found him..
"Now go."
"What? I thought you weren't leaving me alone?" She spoke with hopeful eyes
"Ya ah! Don't look at me like that!"
"I am here , you just need to lure him."
"Are you sure he is not going to recognise me."
"Not sure , but just keep him occupied until I am ready."
"Alright."
"Don't worry." I patted her back "you will do great."
Y/n smiled giving me a nod and then made her way towards the crowd..
I saw her making space within the people as she approached him.
I felt a pant of jealousy in my heart as I saw her getting close to him , she rested her hand on his shoulder as she faced him..
He actually didn't recognise her?
"Heyyyy! What's up pretty?" He said as he pulled her closer
I clenched my fist as I saw him flirting with her , y/n glanced at me ...
I nodded as I made my way towards the dance floor
I saw him trying to get close to her , I saw him approaching her neck with his lustful eyes
"STOP!" I pulled him back "What do you think you are doing?"
Sooo was this unexpected?
