You and Felicia were now sitting on the comfortable leather couch as your father threw more wood into the fire. He walked back to his chair and looked at you. The two of you stared at each other for a moment.
Victor: You really do look like her. Your mother.
So you've been told. He looked over to Felicia who suddenly sat up straight.
Victor: And the hair? Is that just a style choice?
You looked at Felicia who shyly nodded.
Y/N: I didn't really have a choice. This machine blew up and some of the particles messed with my DNA. My eyes are also duller.
Victor nodded. The silence took over again.
Victor: So, why are you here now?
You looked down at your hands.
Y/N: Project Godslayer was a success.
Victor: I figured as much. You're here.
Y/N: A lot of bad people were looking for me. I managed to beat them but I lost a friend in the process. I also lost my powers.
Victor shifted in his seat and took a deep breath.
Victor: Who was this friend?
You rubbed your hands together.
Y/N: Venom.
Victor lifted his head. He then turned to the fire.
Victor: How many of us are alive?
You sighed.
Y/N: Just you, Moon, and Dr. Conners.
Victor closed his eyes. He shook his head and turned back to you.
Victor: So you lost your powers. You seemed able to hold you own just a while ago.
Y/N: You weren't trying to kill me.
Victor didn't say anything. You could tell by the way he fought that he didn't intend to actually kill you.
Y/N: I need to get stronger. I figured you could help me.
Victor just stared into the fire. He stood up and walked out if the room.
Victor: Be awake before the sun rises. You want to get strong? I'll make you strong. Both of you.
He stopped in the doorway before looking back.
Victor: You'll both be sleeping in separate rooms.

You did as he told and woke up early the next morning. Now you were in your underwear in the freezing cold water of the nearby river. Cat was also there as was your father. While you and Cat were freezing, Victor was just fine.
Y/N: A-And w-what i-is t-this t-teaching u-us?
Victor: Control over your body.
He didn't elaborate. You and Cat looked at each other. It was going to be a long day. It was about and hour later when Victor walked out of the water completely fine. What did frost bite feel like?
You followed him into the woods, now dry and dressed, where he stopped by a tree. He then handed you and Cat both an ax. He pointed to a set of trees.
Victor: Everyday from now on, you will hit one of those trees 200 times. Once the tree is down, you'll move onto another tree.
He started to walk away. Before you could ask, he lifted his hand.
Victor: Builds muscle.
You figured there was now hard in it and lifted up the ax. You swung it into the tree, only to not make a scratch. You pulled your ax away and watched Cat swing. Same result. You tightened your grip and decided to use your strength. You hit the tree again bit nothing happened.
You and Cat looked at each other before leaning over to see just how many trees were there. Spoiler alert, there was a shit ton. You just sucked it up and swung again.
It was about an hour later when you and Cat returned to the cabin sore. Victor was on the porch reading with his glasses on with a cup of tea. He noticed you both and set his book down.
Victor: 200 swing?
You both nodded.
Victor: Good. Now fight each other until I call it or one of you can't go any more.
You both let out a groan. Training was going to be rough.
After fighting for what seemed like forever, Cat was on the ground of of breath while you had to rest by placing your hands on your knees. You dad left sometime during the spar without a word. You both turned towards the sound of snow crunching. Your father, naked in all his glory, was walking back towards the cabin. He was carrying a lin with three fish on it. He was also dripping wet.
Victor: Dinner.
He then set the fish down and pulled on his pants. He looked at the two of you and shook his head.
Victor: This is going to be rough for the two of you. I can already see it.
Victor tossed you a heavy bag of, something before giving Cat a slightly smaller bag. He then began to walk around the open space with his foot dragging in the snow. He stopped once he reached the two of you.
Victor: Run in the circle until I say. Keep the bags up.
You lifted your bag up as did Cat. The two of you then started running.

Victor: What powers did you have before you lost them?
You were laying in the snow trying to catch your breath.
Y/N: Strength, fire, ice, telepathy, electricity, claws, and a lot more I didn't unlock.
Victor: Very well. I can arrange something.
He then turned to Felicia.
Victor: And you?
Cat: I'm just a normal person. I was a cat burglar.
Victor shook his head.
Victor: Of course. I'll come up with something.
He then walked back towards the cabin.
Victor: I expect this to be done every morning before the sun comes up. After that, we'll start training.
You shot up.
Y/N: THAT WAS JUST THE WARM UP?!

Three weeks later.
Cat lunged at you but you blocked her blow and caught her wrist. You then flipped her over your shoulder and into the snow.
Victor: Not bad. For a beginner.
You bit your tounge.
Victor: Again.
Cat stood back up and readied herself. You both have been going at this for the past two hours. Since you both started training with your dad, you felt yourself get stronger physically. Everything slowly became easier but you were still a long ways from where you were. Cat only improved while you were struggling to get back to your original strength.
You stepped back to avoid Cat's attack and grabbed her arm. She smiled and used her momentum to leap up and lock her legs around your head. She then spun herself and took you down. You hit the snow and heard Victor laugh.
Victor: That was impressive!
Cat: Thank you.
She did a bow with a smile on her face. You picked yourself back up and felt some blood pour from your nose. You slowly healed and wiped the blood away. You weren't going to fall behind. Cat faced you again and raised her fists.
Cat: Stop playing around. We can do that later~
You smirked and charged at her.

A week later.
You smiled at your progress with the tree. It looked like you were actually cutting it. Not by much. Only the tip could fit in the small cut but it was something. You brought the ax back and hit the wood again. The sound echoed through the woods as you hit it again. You looked over at Cat who was determined to knock hers down. She wasn't nearly as far as you were. At least she got through the bark.
You sighed before lifting your ax again. You took a deep breath and swung as hard as you could. Something happened. Something incredible. You felt the strength run through your arm as you slammed the ax against the wood. The metal ax cut into the wood with ease! You pulled it out and looked at what you had done. You set your blade into it and saw that the edge of the blade could now fit.
You got excited and began to swing again and again. Cat stopped what she was doing and watched you hack away at the strong wood. You began to smile as you reached the middle of the tree. You hit it one more time with every ounce of strength you could manage before the tree started to tip. You stepped out of the was and smiled as it went down.
Y/N: TIMBER!
The tree fell and you turned to Cat with the biggest smile you've had in a long time. Cat looked down at her tree and sighed.
Cat: I really wish I had super strength.

Two weeks later.
You were once again in the freezing water with Felicia but you weren't as bothered by it. Even Felicia was able to deal with it. The scar on your chest was still present but your muscles were much more tone. Even Felicia had a six pack going by this point. You used your time in the water to medicated like Danny had showed you.
You were trying to get in touch with your powers again like you had down with your strength. Now that you were much stronger, you were now sparing with your dad instead of Felicia. After you were done for, usually after getting your ass kicked, he would spar with Felicia. He was a lot easier on her to build her up but he still kicked her ass to.
Felicia: Why is the water warmer?
Your eyes shot open as you looked at her. No, she was right. The water was warmer. Were you getting your fire back?!
Victor: Morning kiddos.
You both looked at the bank of the river, only to find your dad peeing into the water. You both rushed out of the river.

A week later.
You fliped backwards and avoided your dad's claws. You waited for him to reach out again and jumped up enough to roll against his arm you then delivered a kick to his back. Victor recovered and swiped at you again. You stuck out your tongue. Victor actually smiled.
Victor: Show some respect for your elders!
He tried to attack again but you dodged again and jabbed his rib.
Y/N: Elder is right! You move like a grandma!
He suddenly grabbed your shoulder and threw you across the open space. You sat up and glared at him.
Victor: Haha! If this grandma can beat you then I'm worried for you.
You cracked a smile and started to laugh. Cat watched you and smiled as well. It was good to see you smiling so much again.

One month later.
You were standing naked in the river. You didn't move a muscle. You didn't make a sound. Suddenly, you felt it. You quickly shot your hand into the river and smiled. You lifted your hand up to find a fish, on your claws. Your smile dropped when you realized what you just did.
Victor and Felicia were talking on the porch when you came running full sprint butt ass naked towards them while waving a dead fish on your claw.
Y/N: I GOT MY CLAWS BACK!
Felicia blushed at the sight while Victor just sighed. Cat smirked.
Cat: That's your son.
Victor: You at least had a choice.

Three weeks later.
You watched the tree fall over before retracting your claws. You then bent down and picked up the tree by setting it on your shoulder. You shot Felicia a wink as you past by her. She rolled her eyes and hit the tree again. At least she was in the middle.
You spotted your father and smirked.
Y/N: Hey old man!
Victor turned just as you threw the tree at him. He caught it and flung it away. While he was open, you kicked his chest which sent him flying back. He sat up and raised a brow.
Y/N: I knocked you down.
Victor stood back up and dusted himself off.
Victor: That was a cheap move and you know it.
He walked over to you. He then ruffled you hair.
Victor: I am do proud.
He then punched your gut and you fell to your knees.
Victor: But you still can't beat me.
You stabbed his dick.

A week later.
You leaped through the trees as your father chased you down. He was fast but you had a few tricks up your sleeve. He closed in on you and was about to tap you but you weren't worried. You looked back to him and smirked. His eyes grew wide when you suddenly disappeared in a blaze of fire. He landed on a tree branch and watched you blasted away.
Cat landed next to him.
Cat: You'll get used to it.
She then startes to chase after you while Victor sat there. He then smiled.

You sat next to Felicia as Victor walked around the couch with a cake in his hands. He set it down and lit the candles.
Victor: Go on! Make a wish.
Felicia smiled and blew out the candles. You and Victor clapped.
Y/N: 18 years old. Legally an adult.
Victor: They grow up so fast.
Felicia stood up and hugged Victor who froze.
Felicia: Thank you. For everything.
Victor hesitanted for a moment before hugging her back.
Victor: And thank you for taking care of my son.

A month later.
Your senses went off and you ducked under Victor's punch. You covered your hand in ice and punched up to break his arm. You then swiped his legs out from under him causing him to fall. Your dad fixed his arm and sat up. You were bouncing excitedly.
Y/N: Come on old man, let's go again.
Victor stood back up and crossed his arms.
Victor: Alright, how about this. If you can take me down in one move, I'll let you and Felicia share a room.
You shook his hand and you both walked across the area.
Victor: Call it.
Felicia: GO!
Victor lunged towards you but you shot a bolt of electricity at his crouch causing him to his the ground in agony. You looked over to Felicia.
Felicia: Uh, Y/N?
You raised your hands in victory, until your father punched your dick.

The three of you all sat in the living room around the fireplace, which you started without your powers, and watched the flames dance. Felicia was leaning against you while Victor sat in his chair. Your dad's record player was softly playing in the background. Your long, and frankly messy, hair was tied back courtesy of Cat. Felicia suddenly sat up and pulled you up with her.
Y/N: What's up?
She grabbed your hands and started to lead you. You smiled and danced with her along to the song. Victor watched the two of you and smiled. He stood up and headed out.
Victor: I'm going to bed now. Don't stay up to late.
Felicia: Nighty night.
Y/N: Goodnight pops.
Victor looked at you one last time before heading to his room. You and Felicia slow dance in the fire's light. Victor sat down on his bed and reached for the picture frame on his nightstand. He gently ran his fingers against the glass.
Victor: Our boy turned out just find, Elise.
He set the photo down and turned off the lamp.
