You reached the place Viv had told you about and you were amazed to find that it was actually on top of a building. The pool area was indoors and it only had about 4 other people there despite it's large size. You had never seen anything like this before. The sun had set leaving the pool to glow a beautiful blue in the night. The glass ceiling allowed you to look up at the pitch black sky.
Y/N: Wow.
You were wearing a pair of F/C trunks after changing in the changing room. You had placed all of your stuff in a locker before entering the area. The four other people were in their own corner of the pool leaving the rest entirely vacant.
Viv: It looked busier in the magazine.
You turned around to find Viv approaching you. You had to stop your jaw from dropping. Her hair was now tied up in a pony tail and she had changed into swim wear as well. A green two piece with yellow stripes.
Y/N: Uh, yeah. I'm kinda glad though. We've been around people all day.
Viv: Are you saying you prefer to be alone?
Y/N: Not, entirely alone. I just don't do so good around a lot of people.
The two of you reached the edge of the pool away from the other people. You mentally made a note to eventually bring the others here as well. You were a bit hesitant about getting into the water for a few reasons. The first was not knowing how to swim. Sure you might not die because of your healing factor but you weren't taking chances. The second reason was due to your new power. You still didn't know how to control it and you didn't want to accidentally electrocute the water.
Viv didn't have to fear that though so she jumped right in. You decided to sit off on the side. You didn't mind watching anyway.
Y/N: Sorry that you won't be able to observe humans that much here.
Viv: That is fine. It can give me time to, think.
She swam to the side and held herself up to look at you.
Viv: Thank you for helping me today.
You shook your head.
Y/N: Anything for a friend.
Viv looked down at her hands before diving under the water. You watched her figure swim around under. Suddenly the other 4 people prepared to leave just as Viv emerged. You watched the strangers exit and smiled to yourself.
Y/N: Hey Viv?
Viv: Yes?
Y/N: Do me a favor.
Viv: What would you like me to do?
You smiled as you helped her out of the water by taking her hand. She stood in front of you confused on what you were doing. You didn't let go of her hand, you just looked at it.
Y/N: Change back.
Viv: I do not think my previous clothing would be appropriate for the water.
You chuckled a bit.
Y/N: Not your clothes. Change back to yourself.
Viv simply stared at you but didn't say anything. Slowly her body returned to its pink color and her hair back to the bright green. Her eyes were the last to change.
Viv: Why did you want me to do that?
Y/N: Because I wanted to see you.
Viv: I was here the entire time.
You smiled.
Y/N: The real you. You know, I have no idea why you want to be more like a human.
Viv looked down and pulled her hand away. She sat down and placed her feet back into the water. You sat down next to her with your legs crossed so they weren't touching the water.
Viv: I want to be able to blend in more with the team. I felt that it would improve my standing with them.
You raised a brow. You didn't recall anyone ever complaining. Wait a second, did she feel isolated? Did she, want to fit in? Maybe she didn't feel like she belonged. You could understand that. You did just suddenly show up one day.
Y/N: I think you're pretty cool the way you are.
Viv looked at you.
Y/N: Like, if you weren't the way you are now then you'd be pretty boring.
Viv: Are you saying that I am interesting like this?
Y/N: I have definitely never met anyone like you.
Viv looked down at her feet. Were her cheeks, lighter? Can androids blush?
Y/N: Hey, why did you feel guilty about not crying earlier?
Viv's head suddenly popped back up.
Viv: Pardon?
Y/N: At the movies. You felt bad because you didn't cry? Why did you even want to?
Viv's shoulders began to slouch.
Viv: I wanted to see if I could.
What?! She just wanted to see if she could cry? Before you could ask further, she dropped herself into the water. Maybe this conversation could continue later. Might as well let her have fun.

The streets were mostly empty now and Viv still had an hour before her powers could kick in. She had returned to her "human" form before you left the pool. The two of you walked down the street and Viv was writing in her notepad in order to add it to her data when she could.
Y/N: Hey, Viv.....
There was suddenly a loud noise from behind you and you both turned to see a man jump out of the window of the jewelry store.
???: Remember the name lame asses! They call me Boomerang!
Y/N: Uh, bad guy. Should probably take care of that.
Viv: I will assist.
Y/N: You don't have access to your powers yet right? Find a safe place to hide.
Viv wanted to argue but realized that you were right. She just nodded and stepped back as you approached the man.
Y/N: Hey!
Boomerang turned his head and spotted you. You saw him smirk.
Boomerang: Don't try to be a Hero dude. Trust me.
You just smiled as your hand erupted into flames.
Y/N: Don't try to be tough. Trust me.
Boomerang flinched a bit but pulled out a one of his boomerangs. He threw it at you but you dodged it easily thanks to the senses. You lunged at him but her ducked under you and ran off. You attempted to throw a fireball but stopped once you realized you might hit Viv. You instead slammed your hand down onto the pavement and covered it in ice. The ice eventually reached the thief who slipped on it, causing him to fall.
Y/N: Watch your step.
You cringed at the terrible joke. Maybe you were spending too much time with Spidey. Boomerang stood back up and spotted Viv. He quickly grabbed her and held one of his boomerangs to her throat.
Boomerang: You move, she dies. Your choice Hero.
You stopped dead in your tracks. Viv doesn't have her powers meaning nor morphing. This was bad. You could try to blast over there but that would be too slow. You had to think.
Viv: I am ok.
Boomerang: Shut it! This is what's going to happen, you're going to stay right there and I'm going to leave with the diamonds.
Like hell you were going to let that happen. Then again, what choice did you have? He had Viv. Suddenly a thought crossed your mind. Riri flew with her suit by utilizing her rockets. If you could focus the flames to a small enough space on your feet, maybe you could do the same. You raised your hands and began to lower to the ground. Once you were low enough, you placed your hands to the concrete.
Y/N: Focus.
You closed your eyes and focused all of the flames to the middle of your feet. It started off small but gradually grew.
Boomerang: What the hell?
Suddenly you felt something else. The electricity was back. It started in your hands but eventually moved down to your legs. You tried to control it but you couldn't. You ended up lunging without meaning to do so. You have no idea what happened after.
Viv watched as you suddenly vanished. A loud noise was made a gust of wind flew right by her. She found herself free from Boomerang's grasp. The spot you were at was now completely bare of any ice, and the cement was cracked.
You found yourself crashing into the street while Boomerang was out cold a few feet away. You picked yourself back up and looked around. You then spotted Viv, several yards away.
Y/N: What just happened?
Viv rushed towards you, slowly transforming back to herself, while people began to gather. Viv reached you and you immediately grabbed her hand.
Y/N: ONE OF YOU CALL THE POLICE!
You then ignited your feet and flew off after holding Viv. You landed on the tower balcony where you let go of Viv. You dropped to your knees to catch your breath.
Y/N: How did I do that?
Viv kneeled down next to you.
Viv: Your vitals are now stabilizing. External and internal injuries are nonvisable.
Y/N: I'm guessing your powers are back?
Viv nodded. Suddenly Widow, Kitty, and Miles stepped out to check in on you.
Widow: We just saw the news. Are you both alright?
You gave a thumbs up as Viv began to detail what had happened.
Miles: Boomerang?! That guy sucks.
Kitty: I'd say. Who interrupts a date like that?
You looked to Viv who seemed to be feeling guilty.
Y/N: You should tell them.
She looked at you.
Y/N: It's fine. Trust me.
She nodded. She then turned to Widow.
Viv: May I request a team meeting?

Everyone sat on the couch in silence as Viv explained why the two of you were really out. You sat there with an encouraging smile.
Marvel: So you were just trying to find a way to fit in with us?
Danny: That's pretty rough.
Viv: I once again apologize for lying to all of you. I understand if you do not forgive me.
Riri stood up with her arms crossed.
Riri: I'm mad. Not because you lied though.
Kitty also stood up.
Kitty: You really think you didn't fit in with us? Have you seen us? We're not exactly normal either.
Everyone began to stand up and express their own beliefs. All of them told her the same thing in their own way. They loved her for who she was. You couldn't help but feel touched. Viv finally looked to you.
Y/N: We love ya Viv. Never change.
Viv looked shocked. She held her hands to her chest and looked down. Then, something happened.
Tears began to fall from her eyes.
She slowly reached up to touch them and gasped.
Viv: I am, crying.
Everyone began to smile. Viv looked at everyone and smiled the widest you had seen her smile.
Viv: Thank you. All of you.
Y/N: I guess even android can cry.

You were in your closet thinking about what you had done in during the whole ordeal with Boomerang. How did you move so fast? Was it the electricity? The fire? Regardless, you did something you never done before.
Your mind began to drift to today. Your time with Viv was odd to say the least. The way she thought about things, the way she felt. It was a new experience for you. You were happy for her though. She found what she needed.
You snapped out of your thoughts when your heard a knock on the closest door. You opened it and peeked out to find Viv there. You smiled and climbed out.
Y/N: Hey Viv. Couldn't sleep?
Viv: I do not require sleep.
Y/N: It was just a...
Viv: Joke. Not a very good one.
You sighed.
Y/N: You come here just to mess with me? I didn't even hear you come in.
Viv: I morphed through. I hope you don't mind.
You were going to make a wisecrack but stopped when you realized what she said.
Y/N: You hope? I don't think I ever heard you say that before.
Viv held her hands behind her back and looked up to you.
Viv: I have decided that I will start to have hopes. I know now that I do not need to be human to belong. I still want to be able to relate to others.
You grinned.
Y/N: That's a good goal to have. Is that what you came in here to do? Tell me about your new aspiration?
Viv shook her head. She looked down at her feet and seemed to be debating with herself about something.
Viv: I have one more thing I would like to test. If you are willing.
You shrugged.
Y/N: Why not? What's up?
Viv: In the same magazine I got the ideas from, it had stated that there was a proper way to say thank you. If you don't mind I would like to do that now.
You crossed your arms amused.
Y/N: And what is that?
Viv: I cannot tell you. The article said it should be a surprise.
Y/N: Not much of a surprise if you're telling me all this.
Viv, pouted? Aww.
Viv: Do I have your consent to do so or not?
You shoved your hands into your pockets with a smile.
Y/N: Fine. Go ahead.
Viv smiled.
Viv: Thank you for your consent.
You suddenly found yourself being pulled down by Viv, who then kissed you. The kiss actually lasted longer than a kiss. It was, something else. It wasn't like the first one she gave you when you had just joined. This one was, sweet. It was nice. You eventually fell into it as well. The only light in the room was the moonlight that shined through your window.
You both eventually parted and Viv opened her eyes.
Viv: Thank you for the date.
You smiled.
Y/N: Thank you for being you.
Viv: Goodnight Y/N. Have a good rest.
She kissed your cheek and left the room. You just stood there with a dorky smile on your face. You then returned to your closet, ready to sleep the day away.
