The Foster Care system is a home to millions of diverse and unique children and even young adults. Strangely, the system attracts the hearts of five unlikely young men to learn a thing or two about raising a young girl. I'll mention, these five are no match against one deeply experienced girl. The fear of being left behind is the greatest coat of armor a foster child can wear, protecting them from disappointment, attachment, pain and being alone. Alone. Yes, that's the key word, the most awful word to the English tongue. Murder doesn't hold a candle to it and hell is just a poor synonym.
